    Thanks moe! I echo juce's statement 110%.

    Go CAPS!

And boy, is St.L ever sucking their way into the playoffs.

    Here's hoping for a Habs/Saku final.

  11. I just watched the last 2 periods of the caps bolts game - what a fucking load of shit game that was...and the caps are so fucking full of themselves they could, barely be bothered to skate during the shootout. Ovie tried a Lego like bullshit move and then Backstrom decided to stop to take a shit on his way towards the net! So the Habs start the playoffs in Florida. Maybe the fucking useless turd behind the bench will fall asleep in the sun again and not make the game...I can only hope...but let's go Habs go! It's playoff season bitches! Go Habs go! Go Habs go! Go Habs go!

But, but the Montreal Canadiens are the only Canadian team to make the playoffs.....so let's skip that and discuss which other Canadian team will make it NEXT year - you guessed it, the leaf are on the list cause there's a new guy in town. I don't think even if the Habs won the Cup it would stop their blue and white insanity.

Great round by Bubba Watson to win the Masters. I like the guy, very humble, self taught with no swing coach crap. A champion for the people.

Sure do hope the Canadiens get their power play woes worked out. eMpTy says they are ready. We'll see.

    ReplyDelete
  18. “I think you’ll see a lot of Canadians probably cheering against us more than anything,” said Price, who was a big reason Canada won its second-straight gold medal at the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. “A lot of sour fans are probably going to root against us. At the same time we have a great fan base here in Montreal and across Canada, really. I don’t doubt we’re going to get a lot of support.”

    ReplyDelete
  19. The additional sick thing about all the CotU mediot's Habs hate is that they continue to incessantly hype 'Canadian' blue jays, Canadian basketball players etc. yet find some hole in their black hearts to suggest Canadians shouldn't be cheering the Montreal Canadiens. I, for one, could fucking care less if any non Habs fan cheers for my team. Please, stay the fuck away from the Habs if you feel like it. We don't need you. Never have, never will. Fuck off.

    Habs points:
    - J.O. goaltending will decide series. Price can do it.
Big head Bob. - "would normally agree, but..." Bolts resilience adversity Stamkos' leg, Olympics, blah blah, blah, Malone...unphased - don't count them out. Can win without Bishop.

At least Natasha said "yeah they're the only Canadian team, but they're a pretty good team and they could go far." I like her.

  22. So...at the beginning of the season I predicted that the Habs would go 47-18-17 for 111 points. That total would have had them 2nd to the B's. So I wasn't a million miles away and there were definitely some games they could and should have picked up at least a loser point in. Overall, I'm pleased with my forecast and, changing the subject slightly, I am also pleased that they are starting the playoffs on the road. I am feeling positive. Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!

  24. Seaon ends with the leaf having number 8 draft pick which at this moment is projected to be Rangar Lothbrok. We are at 21 and will probably take a great Russky prospect named Nicky something. The leaf will win the cup next year if their theory of having more executives VP than players and coaches works. I am picking us in four over the Bolts. GYFHG

    ReplyDelete
  25. Best case scenario - Habs win the cup.
2nd best scenario - Habs lose in 4 to Bolts and eMTy is kicked to the curb toot sweet.
Any other degree of success short of winning the cup just makes it tougher for BurgerVan to rid us of the eMTy plague.
He is like Marchand in my books - every time I see his smug face I want to punch it. Not many people instill that feeling in me.

Do NOT tune into the TSN sploogefest introducing President BS! Fucking leaf fans are sheep and eating up the crap being fed to them by the mediots. It's hilarious and sad at the same time.

  29. Regrettably, the CRA has been notified by the Government of Canada's lead security agencies of a malicious breach of taxpayer data that occurred over a six-hour period. Based on our analysis to date, Social Insurance Numbers (SIN) of approximately 900 taxpayers were removed from CRA systems by someone exploiting the Heartbleed vulnerability. We are currently going through the painstaking process of analyzing other fragments of data, some that may relate to businesses, that were also removed.
Beginning today, the Agency is putting in place measures to support and protect the individuals affected by the breach. Each person will receive a registered letter to inform them of the breach. A dedicated 1-800 number has also been set up to provide them with further information, including what steps to take to protect the integrity of their SIN. The Agency will not be calling or emailing individuals to inform them that they have been impacted – we want to ensure that our communications are secure and cannot be exploited by fraudsters through phishing schemes.

The CRA will also provide those who have been affected with access to credit protection services at no cost. And we will apply additional protections to their CRA accounts to prevent any unauthorized activity.

On April 11, 2014, I informed the Privacy Commissioner of Canada of the breach. The RCMP is investigating.

Now that the leaf has given up playoffs for Lent, that loowinky has parted the seas of blue management, the mediots will throw themselves on the golden cash CotU cow, only to crucify their next saviour, wait for a resurrection and hunt for chocolate eggs.

  35. MONTREAL (April 14, 2014) – Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin, announced today the signing of forward Jacob de la Rose to a three-year, entry level contract (2014-15 à 2016-17).

In 49 games with the Leksand Idrottsförening in the Swedish Elitserien this season, de la Rose recorded 7 goals and 6 helpers for a total of 13 points. He was also assessed 18 penalty minutes and had a +5 plus/minus differential.

The 6’3’’ and 187 lbs forward was also a member of the Swedish team at the 2014 World Junior Hockey Championship that was played in Malmö, Sweden, helping the host team earn a silver medal after falling 3-2 in sudden death overtime against Finland. In this tournament, de la Rose scored 3 goals and added 3 assists in 6 games, served 6 penalty minutes and had a +3 differential.

A native of Arvika, Sweden, de la Rose was selected in the second round, 34th overall by the Canadiens at the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Huge thanks to moe for keeping this fine blog afloat!

Home ice would have been a luxury but I guess they'll have to do without. To win, Price will have to be as sharp as he's been all season, the PP needs to get going somewhat and hopefully, all this talk about leadership and character (I've been watching too much 24CH) is put to the test. My take? Obviously, I'm biased (!) but I think the Habs will take it in 6.

IF they had beat the Bridgeport Sound Tigers last Thursday night the Habs would be opening at home. eMpTy said they were ready. Wait. What?

"Obviously when I heard the news I was ecstatic. I feel like this is the place I really want to accomplish my ultimate goal, and that's winning. I don't think there would be a greater stage to win on than here. I think it's the same stage as Canada for winning an Olympic gold medal. Sure the ref takes a phone call from above and gets a cheat sheet before every game. But you can not steal a goal into the net, you can not defeat a plain victory in the eyes of the camera. This is the mountain we must climb, this is our kilimanjaro, I would have said Everest but Buttman would not allow climbing equipment let alone oxyegn.
