Damn nice sexy Friday moeman. Made even better with the wailing and gnashing of COTU and NESN teeth.

  2. What a great way to start the weekend...and it's another "Bank Holiday" 3 day weekend in the UK to boot! I left after the first last night kids - very sorry but I did have to work and it was already about 01.30 am. Turns out I was very restless and didn't sleep well so probably should have stayed up anyway...then again - Double OT would have completely fucked my day. SO in the end - WooooHooooo! PFK!!! I can only imagine the acrimony ringing across the antihabs nation out there. "We wus robbed! they will yell. Well FUCK 'em ALL!! Go Habs GO!!

Moeman - an outstanding SF as always - Nice ones all 'round! Bring on Saturday boys!! GO YOU FUCKING HABS GO!!

  3. Nice job. moe. Yay! Habs.

In typical bruin fans news, the terms Subban+(word that would make the Clippers owner blush) is trending in Boston. Also, bruin fans threw garbage on the ice after the game and almost hit some players including PK and TFS. Classy.

  4. Excellent Sexy Friday and breathe is the operative word. I have to wonder how many Habs fans where hospitalized last night. Our health care system can not handle many more games like that.
Wow that was such and intense game. The TFS we have been waiting for is here. PFK also had his best game. The Lego line also showed up. As for the rest outplayed badly. If the CBC says one more time that hit is for game four, five or six I going to crosscheck Ratface in the face. Like he does after every whistle. In a real fair system the ref would go to Hank before the game and lay down the law. If Ratface raises his wrist pass his waist after the whistle blows he is going to get a penalty. We are in a war of attrition with the evil empire, may the force stay with us.

  8. So now there's a subway crash in Seoul, just a couple of stops from my place. Between the Asiana flight last summer (there was also another close call on another flight just last week), a bus that went awol a month ago and killed few people in the city, the ferry and now this I think maybe it's time I consider going back to Canada. If only there was a mode of transportation that I had any confidence in right now.

    2. It's interesting that the media are being very quiet about this. Could you imagine if Montreal fans did this (you'd have to imagine, as it wouldn't happen)? My lord, they still bring up the booing of the US anthem after American troops killed Canadian troops in Afghanistan (not saying that was ok, just comparing).

And we shouldn't have to point out their new goalie to shame their racism. You shouldn't need a black player to be a decent human being. Besides, what about Iginla?

Having said that, I've seen lots of bruin fans online condemning the racist tweets. I'll put this one in the "Don't blame an entire city for the idiotic actions of a few" file. As Hab fans we can understand that, I think.

  16. Only good thing about the early afternoon game for G2: I get games two days in a row! Early Friday morning and late Saturday night! This time I get to be the annoying drunk one! Though I could do without another double OT. But whatever it takes to win.

By the way, the reason for the afternoon game? The Kentucky Derby. Yes, a bunch of horses running around a track pushed the greatest sports rivalries back. And they say the NHL isn't bending over backwards for American interests.

  18. If you believe in statistics and i don't, numbers man thats the work of the man. If you watch Vikings you will see a superior society that had no written language and as far as numbers went, don't matter one Viking is worth like a hundred Anglo Saxons. I want Floki for PM because to state the obvious he understands what the Gods want. In the case of Vampire Dan believers in the math and the ghosts of the forum will agree, he is a difference maker in these playoffs.

  19. Neely and bruins have officially stated their opposition to the racist comments to Subban:
    http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=451046

And you know what, I believe them. Like I said above, as much as we mock each other, a few idiots shouldn't speak for the whole organization. Good on them for speaking out against it.

Having said that, FUCK YOU BROONS!

    1. Nice gesture but a weak apology as Neely has had to do this twice (google Joel Ward).

One has to wonder if the Habs management has, at some point, discussed this ugly issue (not this specific instance) with PFK. The man seems beyond strong-of-mind and will dealing with this kind of bullshit (regardless of the city of certain fans, arena or national broadcaster that attack him).

  20. I do not think TFS played out of his mind. In fact he let in two goals that he should have stopped. Now he did stop a dozen attempts that should have been goals, and some PINGs that threatened to dislodge the net. My point is the TFS can do this now. He used to be a proprie and now he is a full Jedi Knight. PFK is still like Luke Skywalker, not yet at one with the force. But there is no doubt anymore PFK is a part of the force. In summary a team that takes all its strength from the dark side can not win. Habs in four, take that to the Steve Seagal tenth Dan Bank located at one astral streams sixth avenue astral plane.

Orangeman, you may not be aware but the only word that is kinda sorta banned here is the "c" word referring to certain lady parts. We generally don't use it out of respect to the ladies who cheer the Habs with us. Other than that anything goes. Luchicken, Lucy or Ratface are the more polite terms for our favourite broon villains. And of course the shaved ape.

    Unless that has all changed.

    1. No, I agree. No matter how much Ratface deserves to be called that word, it's not nice

    2. Yup. Personally I've got no real issue with the 'C' word (too many proper English pals) but in here it is likely the only four letter word that I frown upon. I'd go so far as to suggest the FHFemmes could care less as they too enjoy the saltiness of the language in here but still. 29 is correct in reminding us that Oman is a pretty cool cat.

    8. Just to add an "English" perspective on the c word...when I first moved here in 96 I was somewhat shocked by how commonplace the use of it was. Guys talking about other guys they disliked commonly referred to the bloke as a c... I have learned to live with it and occasionally find myself using the word to describe people I dislike intensely...like rat face...but on this blog I am aware that the commentariat are predominately based in Canada and that we have some awesome 4HFemmes who deserve all of our respect.

  23. Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre called the remarks "unfortunate", saying he would not defend the undefendable.

"We will answer back with the goals that we score," Coderre told reporters Friday at Montreal city hall.

The mayor also a few words for Boston fans, saying there are some who will try to destabilize the Habs.

"They will try with all kinds of insults, (both) acceptable and unacceptable, but we won't fall into their trap," Coderre said.

  26. Just wanted to add a bit about why I chose that first Habs pic. As you know by now, I am very selective about the images I post. Their position, potential and sometime subliminal meaning and overall effect is part of my process. The picture of PFK mobbed by his team-mates speaks volumes for us all. Behind him are the three O-men that supported him on the winning OT play. In front of him is a happy Vodkov, aka The General (how fitting is that nic?). Then all the team piles on. It is a beautiful image. I could've dug deeper and chosen a scary cool TFS™ pic but I felt this one lead off the feeling of winning. The OT goal PFK blasted by the fucking broons got me to breathe last night. Regardless of what happens next and as 29 has mentioned this was a 2nd overtime, in the playoffs, in their arena, in front of the pissahs fuck em' all kind of goal we will never FHForget.

Boston has always had a rep as a tough blue collar town. They're approach to the sport of hockey, for the most part, I believe borders on thuggery. They and Philadelphia have embraced this philosophy. They don't want to just beat you, they want to beat you up while doing it. They may be the only two franchises in the entire league with this mentality. I guess that is why we, as Canadiens fans who saw the Beliveaus, Cournoyers, Lafleurs, et al play a more elegant style of hockey have a hard time with all the goonery and cheap shots by the Bruins. Last night during the HNIC intro they showed two pretty young ladies heading to the rink, one of them was wearing a black and gold trimmed t-shirt. It said = Fight and Drink Beer. I think to myself - what? Seriously? No wonder thugs like Lucy are worshiped by the Garden faithful. No wonder the Habs needed guys like Fergy, Knuckles and Laraque. If the Habs get to a point where they could eliminate Boston, Therrien may have to dress Parros and Murray to protect the rest of the team.

Hey, not bad for being half in the bag drinking Grant's scotch eh?
