I was going to keep this under my hat, but tomorrow (the day after tomorrow for you guys) is my birthday and I've been making early whishes all day!
YOU'RE WELCOME!
This also marks the longest the Habs have ever gone into the summer in my lifetime besides 1993 (June 9th). They won the Cup on my bday in 1986 (when we first fell in love with each other), and went out on my bday in 2010.
Thanks guys. You know, once you're in your 30s it doesn't really matter anymore. But early drinking BBQ tomorrow on my friend's rooftop in Itaewon! (Steve knows)
Orangeman, you are all alone in another country, our Habs will bring you the gift you deserve for your support from afar,. I tip my CHapeau to you, I would never have the courage to leave home. My daughter has just taking her first teaCHing gig away from home and though it is far away it is still in QC. Kudos to you, Orangeman!!!
From TSN: "Emotions ran high from the opening puck drop and former Ranger Brandon Prust applied a match to the fuse just three minutes in when he laid out New York forward Derek Stepan with an elbow/shoulder to the head at the New York blue-line. The officials, watching the play develop ahead, missed the blow which left Stepan face down on the ice and sent him briefly to the locker-room."
I didn't see the hit, but nice objectivity there, TSN! Assholes.
"The missed Prust hit on Stepan led to some frontier justice with Prust and Derek Dorsett fighting after Daniel Carcillo took a run at the feisty Hab at 5:51. Carcillo had to be held back as the fight went on, prompting a game misconduct for jostling linesman Scott Driscoll."
Again, fantastic objectivity. Btw, it wasn't 'jostling'. It was a hit and a push. Jesus christ, can the Habs play any team and not have TSNCBC run a hatchet job on them?
If CHarger gets any supplemental discipline, we all fucking know it's a buttface call to Quintal who was at the game and let's nt forget Daddy Campbell was at the Bell Centre when Kreider 'accidentally FUCKED PRICE OUT OF HIS DESERVED FUCKING RUN AT THE PLAYOFFS!!!!!!!!!
Oh God, TSN is really butthurt that the Habs won. They're trying to create a narrative that PK slewfooted some Rag d-bag. You mean the guy who came at him after the whistle, and PK just lightly pushed him away and he went head over heels flopping all over the ice? Yeah....that's not a slew foot. You keep using that word, but I do not think it means what you think it means.
Not sure how the new contract with Rogers will turn out, but I do know that ThefuckingTorontoSportsNetwork will hole their last NHL game in the next 2 or 3 Western Conference finals. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
CHarger's hit was 0.8 secs, maybe a minor, the principal point of contact was the body and not the head, per Stephan Auger - maybe a minor for obstruction but NO suspension, but what will buttface say?
Ok, so now I've seen the hit. I'm really confused why this is even being discussed. Maaaaaaaybe...maybe a little late so interference. Maybe, if you're looking for something. But other than that, I honestly don't see anything wrong with it. Seems like every big hit is "illegal" these days. Unless you "accidentally" injure a star goalie, of course.
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING US? Why aren't we surprised?
The National Hockey League Department of Player Safety will discuss the late hit by Montreal Canadiens forward Brandon Prust on New York Rangers forward Derek Stepan in the first period of Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final.
After Stepan played the puck in his own zone, Prust skated across the ice and hit Stepan high. Stepan remained down for several seconds before being escorted by a trainer to the dressing room. He returned to the game later in the first period.
No penalty was assessed on the play.
In 11 playoff games with the Canadiens this season, Prust has no goals and two assists.
The 30-year-old has been suspended once before - for one game in the 2012 playoffs for elbowing Devils defenceman Anton Volchenkov while he was a member of the Rangers.
Habs are the front page main pic on espn.com. That makes me giddy
However, I would like to point out we're still down 2-1 in the series. lots of work to do do. Frankly we're not playing that great. The Rags are skating around us. We need to figure some shit out
Congrats to Genie Bouchard on her big win just before the French Open! Caught the last few games. She looks good.
I don't think I've commented since before game 3. Decided to stay away - it worked in the broon series. Plus I wore my Habs shirt inside out to change up the luck. Seemed to work. However since I can't stand listening to tho ol' crotch, I tuned into John Stewart during the third intermission and only turned back in time to see the replay. At first I couldn't tell if it was a goal, but then I noted the sadness and dismay in Simpleton's voice and I KNEW!
BS suspension of Prust. First time I've ever seen a suspension for interference. Whatever, we'll stick Bournival in his spot. Or, it's gonna get nasty - do you stick Moen or White in? Whatever. We got this. OGAAT!

AV saying it's the ref's fault for being attacked by Carcillo because Prust should have gotten a penalty. BRING ON THE HATE!
ReplyDeleteAlso says it's unfair to go after one of their top players. Somewhere Price is laughing, laughing, laughing...

DeleteWhy the fuck should CHarger be suspended????????????
ReplyDeleteCHarger's hit was 0.8 secs, maybe a minor, the principal point of contact was the body and not the head, per Stephan Auger - maybe a minor for obstruction but NO suspension, but what will buttface say?
DeleteCarcillo should get between min 3 and 10 for his abuse of the ref, per Auger.

'Stepan remained down' ... fuck you
DeleteIt seems things have reached a boil point with Tomas Vanish. DGMB and Don Meehan had an urgent meeting last night and here are the transcripts.
