And they sayin’ Iron like a Lion in Zion

It's truly amazing the people that our maker puts on this earth. I am sure Maya Angelou has touched the hearts of many, R.I.P.

  3. I hope people are busy voting for PK as the NHL15 cover guy ... #nhl15subban in a tweet counts as a vote.

    2. That's why I've been holding off. But if the NHL was smart they'd be publicizing the fuck out of PK. Yeah, yeah, we all don't see colour. You want to expand? They expanded with Bure and Selanne and Jagr in the early 90s into Europe. PK will win over fans the NHL never even knew they could have. And like what happened with Euros coming into the league, we will all benefit.

A truly inspirational lead-in the game day thread. Great work moe.

I am approaching this game tonight with the philosophy of win or lose I am damn proud of what this team has accomplished. All season long I (and others) have trashed at various times the coach or certain under performing players. All part of being part of a community and a fan. It's been quite a ride and it's been an honour and a privilege to cheer on (or curse) the Montreal Canadiens with all you good folks here at FHF. Thanks people and GO YOU FUCKING HABS GO!!!!!!!

Now I have to go play the links. Later!

  8. I'm torn. I'm as torn as 29's terrible, terrible home(slash)away jersey. Everytime I believe in this team in this series they do terribly. Every time I write them off they pull it off. I will say what I said before G6 against the broons:

I believe they can do it. I'm just not sure if they will.

    GO HABS GO!

  9. I have found though that the guys happen to do well when it is sunny and nice here. Not so much on overcast or yellow dust days (sand from the Gobi desert). I will not check now, but I will update everyone on the weather tomorrow morning. It's Friday for me so either I drown my sorrows or celebrate. Either way, I win and lose.

  11. Some bozo (okay, it was my sister) actually tried to make plans with me for Saturday. As if!

This team, while I've thrown it under the bus once or twice (okay, after ever loss) seems to be on a roll ever since the comeback against Ottawa. They're resilient. They don't quit. They fight back. Especially when their backs are against the wall. Tonight should (hopefully!) be no different.

    GYFHG!!!

  15. For all the accusations by Rag fans I give you the following stats:

-Leaders of PP opportunities, NYR. A whopping 14 more than the 2nd place Kings (same games played). 18 more than the Habs in 3 more games played. That's 6 per game more. In the playoffs.

-2 to 1 for 5on3 opportunities. Both of the Rags' chances have been on the Habs. 1:36 vs 0:10.

-Embellishment penalties: Habs 1 NYR 3. Two in one game!

-Suspensions due to dirty plays: Habs 1 (2 games) NYR 2 (12 games)

-Star Goalies run over and injured by "accident": Habs 1 NYR 0.

Just the facts, folks. Just the facts.

  18. Weise will not play, MT only saying it's a body injury but I believe that fucking Rag gave him a concussion.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The thing here is that if they say "head injury" or "concussion" then certain H&S protocol kicks in and they have lost CHip for a lot longer than they need to. I am sure they will look after him but it leaves The player in greater control of when he can play again. Some will say that this is dangerous but this is the Stanley Cup Semi finals!

  42. Betelgeuse! Betelgeuse!! BETELGEUSE!!! The stars aligned, or supernova?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Will the explosion of Betelgeuse destroy earthly life? When Betelgeuse does blow up, our planet Earth is too far away for this explosion to harm, much less destroy, life on Earth. Astrophysicists say we’d have to be within 50 light-years of a supernova for it to harm us. Betelgeuse is nearly 10 times this distance.

So we’re safe from Betelgeuse. And, in fact, if there are any astronomers around when it does blow, they will be extremely thrilled to have a relatively nearby supernova to study.

  79. I've said it before, it makes no sense to me that they have an extra guy on the ice, yet are always the last to the puck. In fact, it's usually two Rags on the puck to none for the Habs. Doesn't make mathematical sense.

  129. Well, still very proud of our Habs. We have a lot to look forward to, gCHyuk, PK, PatCHes, etc.. and especially TFS. I really believe this would have been his year to have it all. Go Habs Go!!

  130. Well the dream is over. Oh well, it was a hell of a run. Proud of those guys. But not satisfied. Nothing less than the Cup is a victory. Tonight the refereeing was suspect, but that's not what killed the boys. They just didn't have it. Time to wait and see what unfolds in Burgervan's office. Go Kings...I guess. Well, now I can finally get some stuff done around the house. It's great hangin' with you guys. I'll drop by now and then during the off season to check in.

  135. Is it October yet?

Man, this one was tough to swallow but 10 playoff wins is a pretty great accomplishment. I'm proud of them and can't wait to see them go even deeper next year!

  138. I mean, the consolation prize is that there was no way they were going to win the Cup this year anyway. This gives them more information moving forward to build a Cup contending team. We have to hope they go with youth next year and let some of the vets who just ran out of gas in the playoffs go.
