  2. Great pic of TFS and his merry men.
There is no way we lose now, the broons are about to join the others in the dustbin of history.

  3. I cannot in recent memory recall a game played nearly as perfect as that one.

We fans can be fickle, but to remove the fickle from the fan, just play the same game again. That is the plan.

  4. Kirk Muller is back behind the bench with the St. Louis Blues.

  5. "- Here's PK Subban after the game about game 7 in Boston to come: "I can’t wait for the crowd, the noise, the energy in the building. I can’t wait to take that all away from them." Who says this? I am not sure if I ever heard a quote like this. The answer is who says this is a guy who draws breath so he can compete. Subban is loving this. While some get nervous or feel pressure, he is feeding off of it. He can't wait. Man, I am astounded by this quote. This is a competitor. 8 years. Now Marc. 8 years. Whatever it takes to sign him, do it happily. He is your 30-minute stud on D that all teams have who win the cup."

  6. As promised, I re-watched the game when I got home before going out again. It might seem that I get to watch the games even when I'm working, but after the first 5-10 minutes I can only sneak a muted view every little while if I'm lucky. But this one I wanted to see in full.

I was not disappointed. What a fucking game! Probably one of, if not THE, best hockey game I've ever seen. Maybe 2010 gold medal game (this year's was a bit boring, which was fine). That 2nd period was wild. It just kept going! Fantastic.

Just one more boys. And then 8 more. But for now just ONE more.

    PS. I love you.

  8. Weise sure likes to feed the broons a taste of their own medicine, last night with the 'muscle flex' at Lucy and that GWG (EN?) where he thumped his chest in front of the broons bench. He feels that the broons don't show enough respect to the Habs. Love it, but I think Therrien may not be liking it and will have a little CHat with him, then again, maybe he does like and won't.

I like it that DW is giving it back to the bullies. Best way to discourage them is kick the sand right back in their faces. Fuck em all.

  11. Lundquist fined 5K for squirting Crosby. Play was already over, whistle blown, shouldn't be any fine. Nothing compared to what Thornton did which was from the bench during a play. But Jacobs won't let the NHL do something to his team and not another even if they don't compare.

Anyone notice my Prayer of the FHFaithful was answered last night. Didn't let the evil empire win on Habs ice. Many thanks. Funny, while listening to the first intermission last night on TSN690, they mentioned some priest in Montreal actually asked for blessings for the Habs and Max in particular. Hey, whatever it takes.

Did Clod really say the beaners were going to win Game 7? I hope karma bites him on the ass for that.

    1. Late in the day Marino picked up a jersey and had it blessed by his priest. Then he had him say a prayer or a blessing on the air in Italian for the team, and fellow Italians PatCHes and Gionta.
Now he's talking about perhaps getting a white jersey to have blessed and go to Boston.

  13. This is not meant to be a downer post but tis a sad day.
May 4th, 2008 a good friend and co-worker succumbed to cancer. He was 42. He was a Flyers fan and he got to see the Flyers eliminate the Habs the previous night. Among his final words were "Flyers all the way, baby!" In his mind they did it - they went all the way. It made that loss easier to swallow.
Last night another good friend was taken by the big C. Though not a big hockey fan, he was an extremely decent human being. So I have no doubt he'll put in a good word with the big man(or woman) upstairs, if not FOR the Habs, certainly to smite the broons.
    RIP friends. Go Habs.

    1. There is a poster on tsn who said in a previous pre-game thread that (Not sure if the child was theirs) the child with cancer met the entire Habs team in Ottawa and passed away a few days later and the Habs would win for that little angel. Today she said that little angel is up their watching over the Habs. God bless you.

  14. On a positive note, was it BG or the Goat that traded Rhino for MIchael Bournival? Whichever, he did some things right. Loving the kid's speed and grit.

The Goat fleeced Colorado's then GM Greg Sherman for Bournival. I doubt Patrick or Joe would have done that deal as Roy would have seen him play in the Q. The Goat did OK for what he got for Squid, even though I hated how that went down, Fucale being the prize.

  15. Markov was great. We haven't seen him play like that for a few years. PK is an original - he stays away from boring platitudes. Dryden was on Strombopolous the other night (repeat) and he said PK always does something. He may fail or he may succeed but it will always be SPECTACULAR!

Loved how Markov fucking hammered Lucy Lurch and took down the shaved ape at the end, who then lost his tiny mind. Poke the bear? More like shoved a stick up its ass.

  22. I just few watched the game in fll - what an overall outstanding effort! That is how you beat the bruins. Skate, hi, shoot, cras, skate, skate, hit hit, shoot, shoot, skate, shoot, crash, crash. Man oh man! I said it last night - the best way to shut up the haters is to just fucking win. Go Habs Go!

I only caught the end of it, but Bob McCowan was trashing Kelly Hrudey and his Habs hating bruin brethren on Prime Time Sports. I like the Bobcat, a Habs fan at heart and makes no apologies for it.

    1. I like Bob too. Says it like it is. Hockey Central on the other hand spent about 3 minutes on the Habs/Bruins before shifting to the Kings/Ducks. Turned it off about 15 minutes later.

      Just win.

  24. Was watching again up till mid 3rd, then went live to the Pens / Rangers game.
Just wondering who would be the batter matCHup of the 2. Pens don`t seem to be doing so well (oh, they just tied it 1-1) , Fleury may be getting back to his post-season ways and I know Lundquist just can`t play at the Bell Centre. hmmm.....

    1. I am not getting ahead of anything, oh dear and merciful hockey GODS. Please forgive me for my feeble human speculations. I don't mean to offend your Greatness.

I think the Habs match up well against both the Rangers and Pens. The only preference I would have would be the Rangers due to home ice.

But I'm not getting ahead of anything. Just pure speculations.

The entitled penguins and Sid shown the door. I'm by no means any fan of the Rangers but glad to see the smarmy penguins eliminated. But for bullshit luck, Sid should have been a Hab. I have a feeling Buttman told Sid's agent he has to stay in Pittsburgh... for the good of the league. Just like he put the kibosh on Vinny coming here, although that turned out to be a good thing.

    1. A Penguins franchise on the brink of collapse magically got the first overall pick in the Sid draft. I'm still amazed the Habs #5. FWIW, I wanted Kopitar, not that friggin' Price kid.

  35. Did you guys read about Buttman meeting with people in Seattle. I guess a dozen failing American franchises isn't enough for him. As long as MTL and TOR are there to foot the bill. I mean, why would you look into Quebec City or Hamilton when you can force hockey on a non-hockey market and lose more money? Shithead.

  36. The possibility of an ECF on home ice against the Rangers sounds very enticing.

  38. It's funny reading the Montreal press vs the Boston press. Over the series the Montreal press has mostly been about how great a series it has been, what MTL has to do to win, who played well and who played badly on Montreal. The Boston press has been mostly about the Habs. That kind of streak really runs through the whole culture of their team, from coach to players to fans to media.

Just a snippet from the Boston Herald today in an article titled, "Habs Empty Out The Trash" (about how the Habs are trash talking and a dirty team of course):

Montreal coach Michel Therrien chimed in on the trash-talking — despite not even being asked about it.

“I don’t like to talk about the other team,” Therrien said after being asked if his team had gained any advantage by winning an elimination game.

So....MT was indeed asked about it. Don't they have really good universities around Boston.

    GO HABS GO!
