  4. Wow, that was fun. Great series, Lucic was a thug until the end.

I hear the Broons are going to trade Marchand to the Laffs. He is still a punk but now he can't play hockey either. Perfect time to become a Leaf. They could probably get a bag of those magic pucks for him, you know, the ones that turn into golf balls on April 15th.

Chara looked old and slow. Rask looked like he had the yips. Cherry must be seething. I am surprised the "cockroaches" did not come out. It is a perfect year for the mediots at CBC to lose hockey.

  7. I am sick of talking about that "other" team, but just one more thing. Julien said in his post game remarks that many of the things that the bruins were accused of doing that were arrogant was due to Boston Strong. Out of all the disrespectful, piece of shit things that organization has done, this has to be the worst. Saying you tried to win for the city after something so terrible is one thing. But to try to mask dirty, cheap, arrogant chest thumping plays with a horrendous tragedy is too much.

I've never been to Boston (incredibly, I even have family thereabouts) but I'm sure the majority of people are good. The way the city responded to the attack was commendable, especially the first responders. Using Boston Strong as a rallying cry last year was understandable and done with some taste. But to sit there and say your players taunted another team, squirted water in their faces, gave cheap shots, thumped their chests after empty netters in name of that tragedy is yet another disrespectful move by the organization. What classless pieces of garbage.

And with that, I'm done talking about them. Even when Lucic shows up in the news for murder this summer I'll just nod my head and move on.

What a steaming hot pile of shit. And so it begins...

Poor way to win?!? Hmmm... wasn't aware that a team getting a lead and holding on quite solidly to win wasn't allowed. Fuck 'em.

Puck Daddy, I know I know. He says we should just eliminate the post-game handshake. It's not Lucic's fault he told someone he'd kill them, it's the fault of the fact that he actually has to shake the hand of the team that beat him. He shouldn't have to do that. You know, be a good sport. In a sport.

    What a Bs cocksucker.

    4. Read about Lurch on Wilde's blog. I like listening to him on 690, says more than you ever get to hear on the news, likely things he can't really say, not that he curses but has to remain cookie-cutter.

  11. If Weise doesn't speak out, Lucic's aggression and arrogance in the handshake line don't get any attention, right?

  12. Again he challenges anyone to match him. Usually everyone worries about PK over-stepping but somehow PK is winning over the world right now.
Well, everyone but the Hockey Night in Canada crew, who I am told, praised the Bruins until Don Cherry's bitter end

Price also was vital as a leader. Price was the player who gave a surprising speech in the second intermission and the message was simple but important: enjoy the moment and have fun.

  13. "It wasn't much," Price said. "It was just a reminder to live in the moment. That's all I really said. That's the truth. At this time of year, it's easy to let your emotions get carried away, especially in a situation like tonight. I thought our guys … I don't even think they really needed for me to say anything.

Whew, I've just finished about 3 hours getting caught up on all my reading about last nights festivities including a lot of comments. One of my favourites: "Poke the bear? The Habs performed a full body cavity search." Bwahahahahaha!!!!

I happened to catch Chris Nilan ripping the broons, lucy and jabba the hutt to shreds. Love it!!

Finally broke 90 today. The course, well, the greens are in rough shape after this winter and I was in rough shape after not swinging a club for 6 months. I'm beat.

  25. If I remember the games the Habs played against the Rangers this season correctly, they were pretty free-wheeling ones. I remember they beat the Rangers in October then lost in November (but should have won only they played for shit) and then the last game of the season they handled them easily. SO I am cautiously optimistic about this series. ONE GAME AT A TIME! Go Habs Go!! And a Saturday afternoon game means dinner time hockey for me on Saturday night !!

I don't know if it was as big of an upset as Canada losing to France, but it was in regulation and Tim "The Big Flopper" was in net. And yes, Gudlevskis was in goal for Latvia. Kind of glad the TB coach refused to play him in the playoffs.

  27. Just caught Kerry Faser's latest verbal diarrhea. Some bruin fans wrote in still whining and complaining and Kerry does nothing but support the guy. He literally lists every call that MTL should have gotten against, and why they shouldn't have gotten the ones they did with zero balance. Poor Marchand getting a penalty for a snow shower! Bournival embellished that last call! Poor bruins! It's disgusting. Thought the guy was ok, but this is an obvious hit job. Even if he disagreed with the call, there's a way to be balanced about it. This is as balanced as Arya and Hordor on a seesaw.

    1. Yep, plus he always seems to throw kidG when who has absolutely nothing to do with the the question which brought about the article.
Don't remember what I was watching, but a former ref said that the head of the refs had a conference call will all GMs whose teams were in the playoffs with warnings of types of infractions would not be tolerated. The GMs pass this down to their coaches who pass this down to their players and snowing was one of them. If Julien or his players didn't heed the guidlines, then too bad.

      Delete
    2. Y'know, if it's Bergeron or some other bruin snowing Price I'd agree, weak call. But I'm not exaggerating when I say that Marchand could get 3,4,5 penalties per shift and rarely gets a call. With all the antics the bruins pulled in the series it's their reputation that made some of those calls. No one to blame but themselves. Like when the Habs had Lapierre. He could be clutch, but he was also a shit disturber and a diver. His rep got him lots of calls.

  34. In 1990, I drove through Anahim Lake on my way to Bella Coola. Looking back, I'm sure it was some cruel initiation. It was my first real job and I was sent with a small Arab man (and his wife tagged along), they had some english, to count cars in the community of Bella Coola. Well after a 10 hour drive which ended by navigating hairpin turns down a mountain on a narrow road we arrived at Bella Coola (not to be confused with Bella Bella). I took the first counting shift and in two hours I counted 4 cars, 3 trucks, a tractor and 22 head of cattle. Yeah, I was punked. And I wonder if I saw a 3 year old out playing street hockey that autumn afternoon, practicing his butterfly?
