mickey ribs never grew up, what a luxury.
This makes me horny for the draft, and a little bit of history I herard. Marilyn Monroe insisted she sleep, thats fuck for you boons fans all her photogs. I should have got a camera instead of that bong.
I am no expert but a great read. So we have no interest in Weaver, so Gorgus should be packing.
Salary Cap how commie is that, yet it works, I look forward to a world where there is a salary cap and I bump up against it.
Garth Snow has just traded the entire team for the first round draft pick, its epic!
So there WILL be blackouts, RDS is regional, I think only Quebec and part of Ottawa will get those games.
Well, this draft is boring as fuck. The Innis and Gunn beer tastes good though.... BELCH!!!
Rangar Lothbrock goes to the Jets. No Viking buddy for LEGO.
at least its not the leaf, although I am schocked they passed on Nick Ritchie.
Kempe for the Habs if still available, if not, then take a chance on Lemieux.
Let's see how loud the PHilthy Bullies can boo MB, especially if he speaks french.
Another Russian! And he's tall!
Nice. Didn't expect him to be aound.
Ivan Barbashev was ranked higher than Niki Scherbak, but I am happy with the pick after the top 5 it was pick em. I expect he will go KHL route so see you in five year Russki.
Nikita Scherbak player profile from Dobber Hockey“A surprising early round candidate in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft Scherbak came out of nowhere. Going late (extremely late) in the CHL import draft, not much was expected of Scherbak and the Saskatoon Blades. Scherbak made it a strong point to introduce himself to the rest of the WHL in a big way with 78 points in 65 games, his rookie year. Scherbak is a large 18-year-old at 6’2″ and a lean 174 pounds. He is a hungry player and what some would call a coaches player. He wants to learn, he wants to absorb as much knowledge as he can, and he is very adaptable and has some of the best scoring ability in the draft. Scherbak plays with great physical intensity as he will hit, take a hit, strong arm, position, fight, battle, anything he can to protect the puck or create an opportunity. Another aspect of Scherbak’s game is his speed, he accelerates quickly, has a strong first stride and hits top speed in a short distance. His zone play is good at both ends and defensively he has played admirably on a subpar Blades team. Scherbak is truly unselfish and has excellent leadership quality, he wants to win and doesn’t care if he’s assisting, scoring, or defending. He has deadly accuracy and is incredibly creative, creating scoring chances in unlikely areas. Scherbak’s coachability is a great asset, his physicality, strength, and quickness would compliment a second-line scoring role. Scherbak’s versatility allows him to be an excellent option as a set up man and playmaker as well. Scherbak can use some bulking up but being a bit older and having decent size already he could probably step right into an NHL role.”
apparently Scherbak in Russian means penis, so its going to be easy to pick a nick name!
Sounds like the Habs picked up a project, but if he can thrive in the WHL he can survive playing in Beantown or Philthy. Truculence is the word.
Its over folks, the Leaf pick is already won the calder for next year.
Looks like the Habs picked a very FHFun new highly-skilled player with a CH in his name!
Vodkov, (Y) and gCHuk will have a lot of fun with this kid.
Within five minutes, the Saskatoon Blades winger was over his nerves and had English, French and Russian reporters eating out of his hand. What do you know about Montreal, he was asked. "Merci, bonjour," he offered. And what about the Habs? "I know Montreal wins a lot of Stanley Cups."His interview with TSN is funny.
how about CHock for a nickname, or CHalk
His name is Nikita - call him Elton

With our second round pick the Montreal Canadiens take , what what the pick vanished!
the leaf must move the Princess before Tuesday or the no trade clause takes effect. One bag of pucks, no maybe two bags.
Being part of the Islanders is that no like living on Gilligan's Island? I would love to play there. Ginger must have a daughter may age.
Text SizeJosh Gorges stay in Montreal may be coming to an end.According to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie, the defenceman's name has been involved in trade discussions by the Canadiens.McKenzie adds that the Toronto Maple Leafs made a pitch to their rival club but no Canadian team is on the list of 15 clubs to which Gorges would accept a trade
Gorgus is like DDD a good heart but taking up space for real players. He can block shots and patrol his end, shot the puck up the boards, we need more.
Some teams need to get to the cap floor which is why Josh may be in play. They have to insert Tin Tin and N8 in the NHL lineup as they have a bunch of junior and collegiate grads heading to Hamilton, plus they may want to bring Nygren back to North America and he doesn't care for Hamilton. Nygren has way more offensive upside than Josh and the Habs need some secondary PP options on the back end.I'd like to see this D for next season:Vodkov (Y)PFK Tin TinN8 Dream WeaverNygren Plaid as spares. The other DD is still around too, I forget his name....
Just thought of it..... Davis Drewiske.
Geez, I forgot all about him.

So for me looking at Wilson Pickett, close friends of mine, Sly Stone, Jim Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and I can go on and on and on, and I say all of them died because of drugs."
http://awinninghabit.com/2014/06/26/5-reasons-p-k-subban-isnt-cover-ea-nhl-15/The fans of other Canadian teams (particularly the Leafs) would not be likely to vote for Subban, no matter how good he is, and no matter how Canadian he is. Bergeron is Canadian, but he plays for a team in the U.S., which in this case works for him. Not only does he play for the Bruins, one of the most popular NHL teams in the United States, but remains proudly French Canadian.
New ruler called the Lowe Snow. You can not get first overall pick more than twice in five years. It would stop a lot of tanking and I think leaf, edm, buffalo and maybe the philies are all going for Mcdavid. I really think we should join in, send TFS to the rodeo circut with a back injury. If we are serious about a cup this year the only thng to do is get squid back, we need a game threat sniper
If your into moneyball an interesting look at the draft. Claude Girioux and Gallagher are the two anomalies that fail most teams. What is especially interesting is that according to this blog math wizard our pick was number 11 for good CHL boys. If I was a GM I would be hiring some math wizards.http://canucksarmy.com/2014/6/26/sham-sharron-takes-over-all-30-draft-tables
The Elton CHalk controversy. It seems he is only 6" 1" not 6" 2" as adverstised. Can we send him back for a full refund?
Anything over 5' 11" is good. Keep him.
there is a lot of fiber flying regarding the ability to view the team outside Quebec. Inside outside every side, forintche molecules I am not paying for the regular season. A case could be made to pay for the playoffs. The thing that Jack shits up my ass is the money is not going to the right places. The money we spend goes to prop up southern NASCAR fucks who can not an should not run the race. So we distribute all our future on this disgrace of hockey.Did hockey stick in California and Florida. Yes in Califonia no in Florida. Move on Buttman. Do not send our best an brightest to the sun to flame out.
2 days late but Happy SF all! Fine work moe. #16 can ink me any timeGO ORANJE!!!!
Looks like they may just do it in dramatic fashion. (Outside of the diving and near-death reactions to collisions) this World Cup is amazingly good.
Eroff was getting four million a year. At 6' 2" I would take him. So dumping Gorgus just became problematic at $3.9. Although Eroff was not a CHarater guy in Buffalo.
I would call him in OITNB traditon Crazy Eyes. He looks like a TV/movie star already.

@TSNBobMcKenzie: TOR still hoping MTL D Josh Gorges will waive modified NTC to allow trade to TOR. If so, it's believed MTL would get roster player from TOR.We're in Bizarro World.
Who the hell would the laff have that DBMB would even consider?
a truckulant player for sure
Apparently, Gorges nixed the trade to the leaf and who can blame him.I was told by trusted sources EVERYBODY wants to play for the leaf.Who the fuck would MB want off that sad sack outfit anyway?
1) He was the most disappointed Hab when they didn't make the SCF, so he'd want to go to a contender for sure.2) Of course everybody wants to land in laffland.3) Ditto that!
Lot of teams are scrambling to dump cap, the NHLPA put some teams in a real pickle with the lower than anticipated cap. Heard they wanted cap to be $68M i/o $69 fearing large escrow payments and NHL wanted cap at $70M.
Many teams are way below the cap floor. They are sitting back waiting for players with big cap hits but smaller payouts to fall into their laps. Example: Spezza, $7mil cap hit, $4mil payout.I'm kind of thinking Gorges may end up with a team in that situation, Florida and Buffalo come to mind.... and he would be a good veteran to help the young guns on those teams.MB must be trying to find a winger to replace Vanish... err Panic, I mean Vanek. The only two guys on the leaf that might fit the bill would be JVR and Loophole.
Maybe JVR, but isn't Loophole injury prone? Though his does have beautiful eyes. On that note, what the hell have the leafs done with Staubitz?
I do not like Loophole, apparently JVR was going to Florida for the number one. Abvout 10 teams are in full tank mode for Conner and Gorgus is a great play for keeping the attutude during the tank, and mentoring players to come out of the tank, and his cap hit is very high considering his on ice activities. Which is a perfect tank commander.
Congrats Genie! gCHyuk is also a happy camper.
I was planning to go to the Jazz Fest last night for Krall's free outdoor concert but the heat just knocked me out flat and put a damper on it.
She should change her name to Allison Costello.
It time to get rid of DGMB, he did some good things, but the past few days I am bored with his non moves. Even Nossis was more interesting with the Gunderson trade. I do not question his hockey smarts just his work ethic. When the sun comes out he goes away.
If I am DGMB, and maybe I am. First TFS has a back injury and will miss the whole season. Vodkov has water on the knee and must go to Russia for a water vodka transfusion. Budda is our starting goalie backed up by Toker when he is not high.RBQ, Giant, Moemen, BlanCHe, are all traded for bags of pucks, or not signed as the worm turns. I sign PFK and tell eMTy his number on job is to make PFK a Karlson type threat. We play all the rookies letting them know, when you are cherry their is going to be a lot of Cheery Cola Lola left on the ice.
I think you're secretly the Tank Commander. If you are DGMB, we need bigger guns down the middle. DDD and SuperPleXXXe aren't cutting it. Other than Lego, it's like sending Corvettes out against Battleships.
Not sure how this works, but if I understand correctly, DGMB will have to make PFK a qualifying offer just to have the right to match another team's offer?By giving those players qualifying offers, the Penguins reserve the right to match any offer one of them might receive from another club, or to receive compensation if they opt against matching that offer.Read more: http://www.post-gazette.com/sports/penguins/2014/06/30/Penguins-extend-qualifying-offers-to-all-six-restricted-free-agents/stories/201406300162#ixzz368ZKx517
All I know is that four first round picks for PFK are not fair value. But if I am Buffalo I am making a offer at 10 to 12 million. They need to spend 20 million more right now,.
I do not care if the leaf offer us the Jackel for a bag of pucks or the broon offer Ratface for a roll of tape. Do not want these kinds of scum on my team.
I'm with you on that.
If they trade Gorges, KidG will have to find new digs.
Gorgus is gone now for a bag of pucks in the worse case. I do not know the room and have to extrapolate from very littel data. But G did not give P a big thumbs up during the lockout. G is a big Christian man, the Habs have lots of fairy tale endings but it seems God did not include G in the next one. Players should have faith, but they should keep it under the sweater.
Sometimes i hit the nail but mostly my finger. You do not need to be a salesman to know your being sold..
Montreal Canadiens defenceman Josh Gorges expressed his shock and disappointment on Monday with the news that the team is trying to trade him.TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie reports that Gorges, who has played eight seasons with the Canadiens, is on the trade block after the club asked him to waive his no-trade clause to facilitate a deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs."I want people to know that I never wanted to leave Montreal," he said in interviews with Dave Stubbs of The Montreal Gazette and J-F Chaumont of Le Journal de Montreal on Monday. "I have never asked for a trade - this is (general manager) Marc Bergevin's call. I am in shock."Gorges, acquired in a trade with the San Jose Sharks in 2007 (along with a first-round pick that became forward Max Pacioretty) for defenceman Craig Rivet, has four years left on a six-year contract worth $3.9 million per season.McKenzie reported on Monday afternoon that Gorges would not allow a deal with the Leafs - one of 15 teams on his no-trade list. In fact, none of the six other Canadian teams are on his list of permissible trade destinations."This is really hard to accept," Gorges added to both Montreal papers. "I have always given my heart to this team."
Your out motherfucker die. Seriously a heart and soul guy like this should take his medicine better. Your fucking rich fucker celebrate
Well, if he isn't traded now, this does not bode well, the relationship is now tainted. I sure wish all the best to Gorges and hope he goes anywhere but the leafs, they don't deserve him! I understand it's a business in the end, but I feel for Gorges who did give the team his all.
Why is it that we don't know who the leaf player in play would be?

MT 2.0 always hated BlanCHe for some reason. Sad really. I'll miss him
I'll miss him too, energy guy who gave it his all. When Weise first came to the Habs, I thought their pairing was really, really good.
eMpTy sure has his darlings, BlanCHe wasn't one of them. I hope BlanCHe gives him the one finger salute on the way out.I'm liking this Parenteau deal... can't believe the Habs got a younger, bigger winger PLUS a draft pick for one used up smurf. Fuck, MB made out like a bandit on that deal.
MB let's BlanCHe walk. Should have seen that coming with Zero minutes during the playoffs.Listening to Primetime Sports... leaf want Gorges for Leadership, something Princess doesn't provide.

PRESS RELEASEMONTREAL – Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year contract (2014-15) with defenseman Mike Weaver.
PRESS RELEASEMONTREAL (July 1st, 2014) – Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the team has agreed to terms on a two-year contract (2014-15 and 2015-16) with free agent forward Jiri Sekac.
http://www.lighthousehockey.com/2014/6/9/5794156/who-is-jiri-sekacBob McKenzie reported last Friday on Insider Trading that Sekac is being pursued by at least 12 NHL teams. With 11 goals and 17 assists, many NHL scouts took notice this season and began talking about whether or not he’s ready for the next step. Half a dozen teams believe he is. Allan Walsh, a name we’re all familiar with, the agent to PA Parenteau and Jaroslav Halak also represents Sekac and had this to say:
MONTREAL – Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin, announced today the signing of forward Jeremy Grégoire to a three-year, entry level contract (2014-15 to 2016-17).
Toronto Sports Network must be apoplectic. Gorges agreed on move to Buffalo, but not to Toronto?!
They "just can't understand it". Cuz their friggin thick.
Bob McCowan can certainly understand it. He ripped the leaf to shreds last night on his show calling them losers who have perfected the art of losing. He said several times: why would anyone want to play here? All the best to #26 Josh Gorges, an undersized warrior with a big heart who played to the best of his abilities and gave his all to the Canadiens plus stayed true to his loyalties by giving the leaf the finger, unlike Douch$arek who listened to the siren call of the almighty dollar.Good luck to Josh and Gio in Buffalo, except for five games a year.
Pin the 'C' on Gallagher!
The Minnesota Wild have signed unrestricted free-agent forward Thomas Vanek to a new contract reportedly worth $6.5 million per season over three years.
Water boy Shawn Thornton to the Panthers.
I like what MB has done so far. Manny Malholtra, great on winning faceoffs, veteran checker with some size who takes over the 4th line. Tom Gilbert, a right hand shot and has more offensive upside than Josh. MB created cap space by trading Gorges and letting Gio walk and stiffened up his D with MM and TG and hung on to Weaver. PAP will help Max and DD. It's all good.I wouldn't be surprised to see SuperPleXXXe picked as the new Captain. Vodkov doesn't want it and PFK is too young. And flashy. And not signed yet.
Gio goes to play with Gorges and the Sabres.
Iginla signs with the Avalanche.
Gorges presser on tsn690 now.
DGMB around 3:30 ish.
Malholtra 34, 6-2, 220Gilbert 31 6-3, 206Parenteau 31, 6-0, 193MB has managed to more or less replace what he gave up for the Vanek rental. Sekac by all accounts seems closer to playing in the NHL than Collberg and is even bigger. The Gorges deal replaces the 2nd we lost. Deft work.McSplooge refuses to acknowledge the Habs may be a conference or division threat. He likes the Lightning, whom the Habs destroyed in 4 straight in the playoffs. Boston has been sitting watching the proceedings because THEY HAVE NO CAP SPACE!I believe the Habs have a good chance to repeat a 100 point season. They've actually upgraded the positions they lost players at and only have two smurfs left on the team, DD and KidG. Once they get Lego and PFK re-signed It's not a bad looking squad especially if Price stays healthy.
Very rational and quality analysis the M!

Hopefully, Bob Cold never calls another Habs game. Ever. Let him suck leaf ass for the rest of his days.
Our next Capetian can only be PFK if we sign him, to do otherwise is counterproductive. He gave a very honest interview to Ken Dryden. He has an ego bigger than Quebec, but he has the skills of Ontario to back it up. Its a new world out there, and love him or hate him I appreciate the PFK is just letting it all hang loose.
Pat Hickey is sneaky... he asked DGMB if the Weaver deal was done a while ago, DGMB paused slightly and said no. Hickey said well he tweeted that it was and DGMB said he doen's tweet. hmmm...
You pass out for a couple of hours on Canada Day and the world just changes.
Giant and Gorgus bleed Red White and Blue and I thank them for their contribution, now can they dontate more on the way to Buffalo.Buffalo is in full tank mode and trying hard to reach the cap, they needed 20 mill as of Monday. For Gorgus to turn down Toronto to go the Barflo is astounding. He must even at this late stage of his career fear the blue and white disease.Lets be clear, Buffalo is the third poorest city after Detroit and Cleveland in the mighty United States. If Hamilton scared Nyqull back to Sweden , Buffalo would have sent him to Iceland with a Zombie defense package. New York State is no tax haven so its not a money issue.
@JohnLuTSNMtl: #Habs Malhotra on motivation for signing quickly with Mtl: "At this stage of my career, the most important thing is winning."
It official the Tanks have been withdrawn from the Western Front, we may sell whats left to the leaf, but the Sabers got the best ones.

I like the way the team is shaping up and the fact DBMB did not shoot his wad at some belly dancer. Vanish only for 3 years, ouch, he is going to have to live of the other $52 million if he winds down. Dream Weaver back and he was the prototype and old guy who can play and DGMB picked up a handful today and sprinkled Montreal with cup dreams as a result.
There is way too much going on for even me to absorb intelligently. But one thing that stands out is CHicken signs a five year 20 million dollar contract with Edm. Thats four million a year for Broons fans. Four million does not buy you much anymore. So by this scale PFK will get an 8 yr contract for $14 million a year. You do the math.
The best part about today is Gorgus turning down the leaf and signing with Buffalo, if you Google it, the result is cognitive dissonance. A clear victory for nihilism.
Habs pick up maritimer Joey MacDonald to play goal for the Bulldogs. I don't think MB is done yet with re-tooling. Toker will have to go back down but has to clear waivers. I suspect he'll get traded along with MoenMan and a D-man for another scorer.
BTW Weaver was just kidding about already being signed.

Manny Malhotra do not know where he came from but thats a Hawaiian name for sure. So nickname , Aloha, Waikiki, Hula
Its a sad sad world when you cant be one of the best hockey players in the world and get away with things. Ask Claude Girioux. When they bash in your front door how you going come, with your hands on your head or the trigger of a gun?
The Ottawa Sun first reported that Giroux was arrested for repeatedly grabbing a male police officer's buttocks on Tuesday night.Giroux was released without any criminal charges.
Malhotra will wear No. 20, Gilbert: 77, Parenteau: 15
Unrestricted free agent Radim Vrbata is inching closer to coming to a decision in terms of where he might sign on July 1, or sometime thereafter.Aaron Ward of TSN reports the right winger is believed to have whittled his list of teams down to five or six, including the San Jose Sharks, Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning.Vrbata, 33, scored 20 goals and added 31 assists in 80 games for the Coyotes last season; his best years, however, have come in the desert, with stints in Carolina, Chicago and Tampa yielding limited results.Broons don't have the money.
BrianWilde @BWildeCTV · 15hMy gut tells me Sekac gets a big big look. Bergevin didn't lure him over 15 other teams by promising him an apartment in Hamilton.

“Other than Ryan McDonagh, I don’t see a significant difference between the Leafs and the Rangers.” -Steve SimmonsWhat a moron.
Simmons and Zeisberger were both highly insulted that Josh rejected their beloved leaf and Toronto. Simmons called Buffalo the armpit of America. I hope the good citizens of Buffalo flood his Twitter account with lots of Fuck You's!
He's such a giant leaf sucking ass. Why the hell he's given airtime is baffling.
Crazy bastard Garth Snow found his pen. 20M 4 years for Grabiteski. And some other ex-leaf another 16M or so. He must do something special for Chuck's Wang. He still own the team?
So new guys Mohito, Dilbert and Pappy (just trying on some nicks) all seem legitimately excited to be "playing for a contender". Don't tell mcsplooge.
Wow, the Sony Walkman came out 35yrs ago, I still have one.
I had a great one and still have another one somewhere in house. I wore out the headphones on my Budakhan and through the body away, DUH! Steve Jobs genius was best expressed by Itunes. Sony paved the road and Steve drove down it at high speed. I feel sorry for SONY. I love that brand.
Kids laugh at me when I sometimes refer to their ipods as a walkman.
Very history major stuff, but when you look back at Sony, how big they muffed the future. The reason was ironically that they wanted to control the tech, just like Steve Jobs. He just had a better vision. I got burned to the third degree by Nortel. So you apple fans prepare for the roasting,
Okay all we got left is the PFK and LEGO lottery.I got PFK at 8 for 8 just because the Chinese will approve.LEGO gets 3 because most Danes identify themselves as tri sexual.
Vrbata is out of the race now, I'm sure DGMB wouldn't pay as much as Vancouver so if he's not planning another coup, I guess he will focus on PFK and Lego now.
Go Genie Go!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes we have a new sports hero, and she is pure wool, and stick that in your polyester
Montreal sports girls are just the hottest and bestest.Congrats Genie.Go Habs
Now GO Milos GO!!
I would like to say a word about l'Artiste on this, the occasion of his retirement. There are (were) very few players who wore a Habs uni since the last "glory days" (70's) who made me jump out of my seat. or at least could make me jump out of my seat when he felt like it. You were probably the most fun / frustrating Hab of the last 30 years. Thanks Kovy.
I posted this morning and again now, but was seems to have been lost in cyberspace.
nice tribute we need more, and moar like him
29, I agree with you re: Kovy bringing you out of your seat. We can only hope gCHuk or l'Homme Nikita can bring that kind of excitement someday. That is, if eMpTy will ever let them, which I doubt. He still has chokula's lasso and stopwatch.Merci Kovy.
R.I.P. Bill Wong.
Habs still need a nuclear deterrent, they may have a couple in the system, Jack Nevins and Connor Crisp. Hopefully they can skate and make/take a pass at least.
