  3. What a great SF Moeman! I lovoing that chick from the SpongeBob movie...oh - and the chick in the white shirt too. oh..and the rest of the pics...and I'm also sad - Blanche will be missed - although not his game so much as his persona. We never really got to know his game as the coach is a fucking twat and never used him enough to allow us that luxury. Are we really going to start the new season with that fuckwit at the helm?...Oh but I digress.

Sorry - I'm better now - and I'm on fucking holiday for two weeks! Fuck and Yeah! Nice ones all round Moeman! Go Habs Go!! PKF for Captain!

    1. After rallying cry The Boys Are Back, bassist Ken Casey of uber-Boston Celt-rockers Dropkick Murphys greeted the mass. “You look like a good crowd! You look like a tough crowd!” And you knew where this was going. “You don’t look like a buncha crybabies! You’d almost think this was a Boston Bruins crowd.!”

Cue his son Liam, sent out with a Habs stuffie on a rope on a stick, to thrash it onstage while the crowd booed lustily. It was just like a Habs Bruins hockey game – the kid gets sent out to do dirty work in front of a massive Montreal crowd. And after Don’t Tear Us Apart, Johnny I Hardly Knew Ya, their cover of AC/DC’s T.N.T. and the firm closer Shipping Up to Boston, Dropkick Murphys reminded us of how very energetic, uplifting and effective Boston teams are in Montreal. In August.

A highly place source has confirmed our theory that it was indeed Molson who overruled GM Marc Bergevin, when it appeared that the club might be saddled with a single-year arbitration contract and a disgruntled star. It was Molson’s call to sign P.K. long-term and it was exactly right.

    2. like Ho Chi Min said" to early to tell" I hope it turns out alright. However if you look at teams that played for a player like Washington and NJ it does not work out. Corsi was invented by a pure wool, never disparge the French just because they speak another language, both mental and verbal, but that is the nature of communication.

    2. On the subject of hockey, remember this guy? Peter Sergakis who tried to to put a damper on televised games at the Bell Centre? This is how that went:

Quebec's liquor authorities say the Bell Centre is well within its rights to sell alcohol, even if it is showing a broadcast of the Habs playing elsewhere on giant screens.

Peter Sergakis, who owns several bars and restaurants in the city including the Sports Station, had complained to the liquor board that the Bell Centre did not have the proper licence for events like the Game 7 viewing party on Wednesday night.

Sergakis, the head of the Quebec Bar Owners' Association, told CJAD news Thursday that the arena doesn't have a bar permit, but rather a theatre permit — which means a live performance needs to take place if liquor is to be served.

The liquor board has indicated, however, that the live broadcasts do count as "live" events.

The Bell Centre was sold out Wednesday night for the Canadiens' series-clinching game, even if the game was being played in Boston. Tickets sold for $10 each, with proceeds going to the Habs' children's charities

      ***

Well heès at it again, this time, he says the Canadiens should pay the cost of policing during the playoffs because, you know, it is not fair to the taxpayers. I guess the same does not apply to his customers.

You cant go playing chess with checkers in your suitcase. Its a fact your going to lose if you do not put your best pieces on the board. Then let them play. Play like they got a few thosand dollars an hour every time the puck came their way.

Sad day - just heard the news that Robin Williams apparently committed suicide. One of the funniest men to ever grace a stage, but he made no qualms about the fact that he has battled depression much of his life. Oddly enough (or perhaps not), mental illness does not seem to be an unfamilar companion to many celebreties, especially comedians.

      Nanu nanu.

  32. Former Tampa Bay Lightning forward Ryan Malone apparently has no idea where the 1.3 grams of cocaine found in his pocket during an April 11 DUI arrest came from.

The Tampa Bay Times acquired discovery documents from Malone's arrest that noted the 34-year-old was "baffled" and "shocked" by the finding of illicit drugs in his back pocket, as he had been wearing the same jeans for three days.

Malone, who pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence and cocaine possession charges, was bought out by the Lightning in June and is expected back in court Aug. 19.
