  1. Happy SF!
Nice homage to the beginning of the football season with pic 6. Any day after the Packers lose is a good day...except my oppenent in the Fantasy League has Russell Wilson.

Rogers E-mail Update Report: The purpose of this report is to report that there's nothing to report.

According to TSN, we can't talk hockey yet. Just leaf. Lots of hype about Robidas being healthy for season opener and how an injury proned 37 year old dman will save the leaf. Also saw the discussion about IF Babcock was to leave Detroit after this season, there's one obvious choice of where he would land. Can you guess where?

  2. Happy SF to all. Sadly Clooney's off the market. What does she have that I don't, damnit?

  3. Patches wants to be captain. I'd be OK with that. And I'm OK that he said as much. I haven't read the comment sections yet, but I'm sure he'll be shit on by leaf and other fans for not being humble enough or some stupid shit. What's wrong exactly with guys like Patches and especially PK actually speaking their fucking minds instead of acting like sheep like 99% of the players do with their canned answers?! Fuck them all. Dave Reid (whom I actually like as an analyst, even though I think he's a former broonleaf...maybe) says PK is awesome in and out of the room and should get the C. Whatever. Those 2 plus GKid should each have a letter.

    2. Idiot leafies already slagged PatCHes on story posted Aug 25th. This came about while he was on TSN690 and was asked directly asked if he would want to be captain. I guess they wanted to bring it up on TV now. Isn't it logical that teammates would discuss potential captaincy when the current captain is no longer there? Should they just ignore the subject and not talk about possibilities?

    3. As for PFK in the room, everyone who's been in the room says he good in the room, but that rectal orifice we all know as pj stuck, spread his filth about him in the media and the CotU ate it up hook line and sinker because as moeman says, IATG.

    4. I'd be cool with PatCHes as Habs Captain. Well-spoken, classy, hot wife, needs to buff-up his Francais and has a hate on for all things broons.

  5. "If the Canadiens made me an offer, it goes without saying that I would listen to what they have to offer me," the Montreal native told QMI.

"This is Carey Price's team. I would definitely still want to be the No. 1 goalie, but it wouldn't bother me to play in only 20 to 25 games during the season if I know I'll have fun playing within a winning team."

With all due respect, yes, Marty, this is TFS's team, so how could you be #1?

  6. Three #NHL teams invited @diaz_raphael_61 to training camp as a try-out. He'll take the weekend to decide where to go. #freeagent

  13. The Detroit Red Wings are considering adding to their defensive depth in the form of 28-year-old Raphael Diaz, who was offered a training camp tryout by the team, according to MLive.com.

Diaz's most desirable asset from Detroit's perspective is his right-handed shot, which the Red Wings lack on the blue line. He played for three teams last season, starting with the Montreal Canadiens before being traded to the Vancouver Canucks and then to the New York Rangers before becoming an unrestricted free agent.

The training-camp presence of Diaz, who appeared in four games during New York's run to the Stanley Cup Final, might also put pressure on restricted free agent Danny DeKeyser to sign a new deal, since Diaz could take his spot on the roster.

  14. ""Unfortunately, crowds and disorganization left some fans feeling disgruntled by the event, which featured appearances from players such as Phil Kessel, Jonathan Bernier, Jake Gardiner and Nazem Kadri. Many who paid the entry fee ($39 plus applicable fees for adults) felt they did not get their money's worth and took to Twitter to vent their frustrations: The official Maple Leafs Twitter account responded to many of these complaints with a message along the lines of: "We appreciate the feedback and understand there are ways we can improve on for the event. Thanks for attending." Maple Leafs fans are used to disappointment, but usually they don't experience it until the season is underway."" Translation: thanks for your money, come again.

  17. Who was this fucking hack?

Élise Béliveau, the 83-year-old Hall of Famer’s wife of 61 years, was surprised in recent days to be informed by a friend of at least one French-language Internet report last week stating Béliveau was in critical condition.
