Wow, that 1st pic is really freaky.

What a beautiful day in NB today! Well over 20C and a spectacular day on the golf course. I think Mother nature is being kind to us for a brutal winter and no spring to speak of. Hope this keeps up until the middle of November.

Happy Sexy Friday to all and GO YOU FUCKING HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Beautiful bilingual rendition of OUR national anthem, sung very well by an easy on the eyes songstress in Quebec City. I love my country's anthem!

    1. Me too. If I'm out watCHing a game and the anthem is sung, people think I'm nuts because I stand up. When I was in elementary school, back in the day, we started the day by singing the anthem and saluting the Canadian flag. I also remember something about the Queen in there somewhere, or maybe it was just that here picture was in the classroom.

  15. another good name for stumpy Jr , that I saw Son of Stumpy or SOS. gChuck gets his first line center audition to nite. What will patches to, come up short for his best friend or dream about about a center that is not waist high?
It looks like P2 is a lock for Giants spot. Can SOS burn the RBQ barbecue. On D it looks like Tin Tin is going back to the Hammer for more seasoning, and Bo Hunk with be Dream Weaving on the third pair.

  30. I know it is a bit early on - and I know that I am the eternal optimist, however I have been keeping as close a tab as I can on the Habs this pre-season and after having reviewed the full season breakdown, I am prepared to make my predictions for 2014/2015. I will remind all you who will scoff - and there will be many - - but I was out by exactly 4 points total whenI did this same exercise last year...here it goes...

    Total Wins: 55
    Regulation Losses: 19
    Overtime Losses: 8

    Total points: 118

My highlight is February - shortest month of the year but one where the Habs play 14 times. I am calling that month 10-2-2

I am looking at 10 wins in November, February and March. I see several trouble spots, mainly in mid-November, early Jan and potentially mid March, but I don't see them losing more than 2 games in a row at any point in the season. And I see them topping and tailing the season with wins at the acc against those fuckin leaf deadbeats cocksuckers!...Why do they always have to begin and end in the shithole of the universe? (I shall take a liberty here given my tenure...the COTU herein after to be referred to as SHITU)

It's all guesswork but until someone comes up with something more scientific, I'm going with it.

    Come on...Let me have it!!

    1. I'm on board. Another thing this season, there is no Olympics where 8 players represented their countries, a compressed schedule immediately following, TFS played injured in Sochi and when he came back. I expect he will have an even better year with help from his teammates.

  31. So it starts with fucking Rogers. The headline reads "Canadiens’ Tinordi ejected after questionable hit", then the caption under the video says "...Canadiens defenceman Jarred Tinordi threw a high elbow at the head of Nate Schmidt."
Tell me, does this look either questionable or like a high elbow. FFS
    Clean hit

    I guess IATG.

    1. snet will prove to be worse than the cockroaches. tsn will slobber as hard as they can for leaf fan eyeballs and clicks. One of the bigger CotU mediot whores is the CP. They've added three more cub reporters to wino's gang (he replaced the disgusting little snet twerp leaf poodle cris johnson) and it is all leaf all the time and those some bought and paid for articles flood almost every sports web site. Their pro-leaf pro-tranna slant is hilarious. The cockroaches have also added a slew of sick fucks to spew leaf news. I've said it before and I ain't done saying it, it will get worse, it will never get better as they are all desperate leaf fans.

Well said moe. I refuse to read any of that shit for that very reason. I fully expect the Habs-bashing to continue unabated. I'll have to watch the games on Snet but the remote and the mute button are never far from hand.

  38. The NHL announced this morning that no suspension will be given to Tinordi because of the hit, and rightfully so. Tinordi is half a foot taller than Schmidt, was defending his zone, and got down as low as he could to deliver his check. The fact he made contact with Schmidt’s head could only have been avoided if Tinordi had not delivered a body check at all.

  39. We are in the hockey talk silly season. I like ETOP even though stats do not explain RBQ or other players like him, which are the players you need to win Stanley Cups. No in the end you got to look at their teeth, Corsi only helps you find the hidden cavities. What promoted me to comment was being born. ETOP has a post on the value of recovering loose pucks. I did not read it but surmise its a good thing.

  41. NHL removed Tinordi's match penalty from his record. Mind you, this all seems to have been kept very hush, hush and player safety didn't even make one of their famous videos.
While looking for some official statement from the league, I came across this comment someone posted when a broon fan chimed in to defend the shaved ape, I thought it was funny and wanted to share.

"Ahh here we see in its natural habitat the incredibly common moronus Bostontonius. Native to the boston area but also found in habitats where the average iq dips below 65 the moronus Bostontonius is a solitary creature rarely traveling groups as it lacks the cups to have more than a few people drink at once. A creature that is often in a state of confusion calling other animals dirty for their actions yet often mimicking said action while not comprehending that such actions make them dirty as well. The moranus bostontonius survives on a diet of watered down beer (for it is too week to drink real beer) and racism. Confused, angry, and ugly it is a modern scientific miracle that the species has not simply died off from sheer stupidity."

Yes indeed, Rogers has cornered the market on Habs haters for hockey analysts. Going to be a long 12 years of hatred towards the Canadiens, I pray that les Glorieux can capture the Cup at least once to shut the fuckers up for a while.
