I see you got a thing for Rosamund Pike. Nice.
ReplyDeleteI think she's a cutie as well.
Have a great weekend everyone!
You know it the M.!
DeleteAnyone else get the vibe that the next version of Habs smarts+skill+looks+class+humanity = Jean Beliveau is Carey Price?
Carey Price has matured and seems to be a great role model, especially for First Nation's youth. I sure hope he adds a Stanley Cup to his WJC championship, Calder Cup and Olympic gold. Then let the CotU media continue to trash him.
DeleteTGISF
ReplyDeleteYou never disappoint, moeman.
Ahem.
DeleteGo Habs Go!!!
ReplyDeleteSeems like it's down to Tinordi and Cube.
ReplyDeleteI think I spotted a Rosamine Pike. If so I first spotted her in Jack Reacher. There are so many insanely beautiful people in the movies. Catch George Cloony at 50 something, I got to admit as a fifty something I am envious.
ReplyDeleteI have a major announcement to make. Some including myself said it would never happen. Steve could never broadcast truthfully consistently. Well today I almost did it . Yes 100,000 page views. Okay in the same time period ISIS got millions but the force is with me baby.
Steve, Jack Reacher was the first movie I saw her in and she caught my eye. I later found an insane comedy/sci-fi movie called The World's End she was in with Simon Pegg. Check that one out sometime, it's nuts.
ReplyDeleteI am normally on top of beautiful women, um, I mean, yes, she is also in Pegg's new movie and damn is she a gorgeous gal.
DeleteAnother great SF to end the pre-season. Nice ones all round MoeMan. I am starting to get jazzed about the season. I promise not to mention things I cannot control so no mention of him behind the bench for at least the month of October...Go HABS Go!
ReplyDeleteIf the Habs start 0-1, I will NOT be happy!
DeleteSo Georgie finally got himself hitched and she ain't no skank. I'm proud. TGIF, it turned out to be the week from hell. GYFHG!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteShe married him for his looks. NTTIAWWT!
DeleteSekaCH not in the line up tonigjt.
ReplyDelete*tonight*
DeleteMeanwhile, in our Nation's Capitol, visiting Habs fans have scoured high and low before leaving la belle province for every Canadian Tire currency they could get their hands on and are bombarding the concessions free beer.
ReplyDeleteNice!
DeleteHabs should test that new no kicking the puck for a goal rule, to help the refs prep ...
ReplyDeleteCash it!
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell will Mclame say, 3 frenCH refs.
ReplyDeletemclame's trap has been shut but he made sure that only 2 Quebec-based lnet 'hometowns' made his final 25 visits. Way to represent Canada you sick xenophobic fucks.
DeleteUhoh.
ReplyDeleteNeed that PleXXXe magic.
ReplyDeletecrap
ReplyDeleteI guess the Habs goalie got in the way of that shove.
ReplyDeleteYeah, what was he thinking.
DeleteGo Wings, Go Islanders.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
ReplyDeleteSo how come Gyba doesn't get an interference?
ReplyDeleteOh c'mon, Turris pulled PFK down by his jersey.
ReplyDeletemel knicked saved a few dollars for the refs. (Not a typo!)
DeleteGood one.
DeletePre-game, GaGnon was talking about Chiasson and how his fave player was Koivu and he was a Habs fan, then said 'that's because he never knew the Nordiques'.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it so hard to have unbiased reporting, on one side you have the CotU, on the other side, they kiss every single francophone's ass no matter what team he's on. Don't get me wrong, I love the French, just saying why do they get away with forcing their bias on viewers?
ReplyDeleterds and (worse) tav know they have a captive audience. Still think the Quebecois-first and foremost is a week foundation but hey GYFHG!
DeleteIt would be good if Quebec gets a team.
ReplyDelete"After signing his seven-year contract extension with the Ottawa Senators, Bobby Ryan saw his Twitter feed light up with a wave of Philadelphia Flyers fans who were crushed that the forward had chosen to stay with Ottawa instead of becoming a free agent and returning to his hometown near Philadelphia."
ReplyDeleteI'm liking Thomas more and more. PFK is having an off night, but I'm sure he'll make up for it.
ReplyDeletegCHyuk!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat hands!
DeleteMeanwhile during the 1st intermission, the queue at the concessions were too long, so the overflow of Habs fans moved over to the Sens' store to buy out the Habs sweaters saving further on the tax.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
ReplyDeleteSens are getting nasty and taking liberties with gCHyuk - PFK, kidGc omes to help, Cowen gets 2 for instigating.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
Cowen penalized against PleXXXe.
DeletePatCHes!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePatCHes!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Yom Kippur to the FHFaithful.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
ReplyDeleteDamn, it deflected off Budaj.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
Puck it, boys!
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
PAP
ReplyDeleteI really want to add a word to that..
DeleteTest?
DeleteSm....
DeleteShit PFK in the box for slashing, 2 in the box...and they tie it.
ReplyDeleteFUcking Sens are broonsing it up. Nastiness in the background, PFK doesn't stand down from that fucking thug Neil. He's NOT worth it PFK. (didn't see what started that.
ReplyDeletePatCHes, PK in the box, 2 Sens, resulting 5 on 4 for 4mins for the Habs?
ReplyDelete15 secs and not 1 shot
ReplyDeletePing for RBQ
ReplyDeleteOh FFS, kill it.
ReplyDeletePAP in the box.
ReplyDeleteMoeMan checks a sen into the glass and the glass pops out into the fans.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
Budaj saves the day!
ReplyDeleteOT
ReplyDeleteNew rule, 5 mins before OT begins. Lots of complaints from the players, says it breaks momentum.
ReplyDeleteUpthread I said PFK fights with Neil, it was actually Borowikie (sp)
ReplyDeleteFuck off, Cown was holding PatCHes
ReplyDeleteBLOW the fucking whistle, Chucky is down
ReplyDeleteFuck you Sens. I think tomorrow will be really nasty.
ReplyDeleteI hope gCHyuk is ok.
ReplyDeleteTeams must now have an ER doctor on the bench:
ReplyDelete"The NHL strengthened its emergency medical standards after the Fischer incident. Each team needed two doctors near the benches at each home game, and at least one needed current training in hockey-specific trauma management or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). Each team needed one AED at the home bench and another on an ambulance dedicated to the players.
Now, after the Rich Peverley incident last season, the NHL has strengthened its standards further. Each team needs three doctors near the benches at each home game - an orthopedist, a primary care physician and an ER physician - and at least one, if not all, must have current training in ATLS and Advanced Cardiac Life Support."
Breaking: #Isles have acquired D Johnny Boychuk from the Bruins for a 2015 2nd, a 2016 2nd and a conditional 2015 3rd round pick.
ReplyDeleteChicago signed Carcillo to 1YR, $500,000.
gCHyuk is questionable for tonight's game.
ReplyDeleteSome say Habs fans will turn on PFK. I will not. No matter what he does he will not even come close to Gomez. I fully expect PFK will become the most dominat player in the NHL. Better than Crosby or OV. Sure he will have his flaws, but on the offence nail the clipboard to the bench., or tablet for 29
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
ReplyDeleteSing it loud and proud!
ReplyDeleteCongrats TFS!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful trophy.
ReplyDeleteSad that Jean was not there but what a cool pic of Carey and Elise Beliveau.
DeleteI was thinking the same, hope he's OK.
DeleteWatch for the broons-like late hits from the sens.
ReplyDeleteThat's why CHarger is there tonight.
DeleteTFS!
ReplyDeleteMerde
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
ReplyDeletePatCHes!
ReplyDeletePatCHes!
ReplyDeleteThat fucking Boroweike is gooning it up again.
ReplyDeleteBlame their lunkhead coach too.
DeleteFuck you Sens, that's what you get if you're going to goon it up!
ReplyDeleteCASH IT
Vodkov!!!
ReplyDelete""Boston Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli met with defenseman Johnny Boychuk Saturday to tell him he was on his way to the New York Islanders and, according to Chiarelli, Boychuk was not pleased.
ReplyDelete"He was upset," Chiarelli told reporters. "I was upset, I'm still upset.""
Maybe you should manage your cap?
Broons lookin' a little thin on the back end. Hope the Habs can take advantage.
DeleteWhat a fucking thug that Boroweicki is. Prust tuned him up a little but he took some shots as well.
Along with the shaved ape older and slower.
DeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!

ReplyDeleteSo a friend of mine in Canada got tickets to see the TOR v DET game a few days ago, except at the last minute he was unable to go. So he posted them on facebook for anyone who wanted to take them off his hands. Face value was $75 per ticket for not great seats. For a pre-season game for a team that has missed the playoffs 9/10 last seasons and went out in the first round that other time. Other guys started bidding on them and I think they went for above that face value eventually. That thread had lots of talk about how the leaf will dominate the Atlantic division this year. This friends, is the level of delusion in TO. And why they will never have a competent team.
ReplyDeleteGO HABS GO! Less than a week till real hockey!
Puck hasn't even been dropped yet and to no one's surprise this kind of CotU garbage comes out. This kind of sick comment should be fined and hard.
ReplyDelete“If they want us on Saturday, which clearly they do, don’t schedule us Friday,” Carlyle said. “You ask yourself: ‘What’s going on here?’ We should have a little control over our scheduling but we don’t. TV, which is our owners, control a lot of the scheduling. We own the damn networks and we don’t get a break scheduling-wise at all.”
The lnet NHL contract is going to be some fucking awful.
UGH
DeleteHey, Carla, maybe your team should be physically fit and you wouldn't have to cry that you are not shown favouritism.
DeleteSo, ml$e thinks they should control the schedule for favourable matchups so they can make the playoffs? Is that what I'm reading here?
DeleteCap space. I am not an expert but I have read if you submit a lineup that exceeds the the cap you forfeit the game. A Simpson s HA HA for Boston.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your time as Hab Booty! Enjoy Winnipeg and dress warmly.
ReplyDeleteWill miss Booty, he was a real great teammate. Good luck to you.
ReplyDeleteI was just remembering when Fleury wanted to fight Budaj but the refs wouldn't allow it (was right after the Flyers-Holtby affair). Post game the media asked Fleury if he knew that Budaj is trained in martial arts. The look on his face was priceless. lol
ReplyDeleteBudda stood in an eight by six crease watching the sunrise
ReplyDeletewhile the criminals in Toronto
in their suits and the ties.....youall know the rest
Bye Bye Budda you were always a class act and won a bunch of games for us.
I predict Tin Tin sticks. He is a back up goon and maybe he just needs more experience in the show. If he can platoon in as 6 D on a regular basis probably the best development path for him.
ReplyDeletecould not have said it better myself, thanks for the two cents.
ReplyDeleteHave to say, this looks very good on Bergevin. It’s the sort of subtly complex move that separates good GM’s from very good GM’s.
-He makes a veteran happy, Budaj, because he doesn’t go to the minors and gets to play the role he is very well suited for.
-He saves significant cap space.
-He further develops an asset, Tokarski, that he can move in a year or so time with increased value.
-He gives a prospect a better chance at seeing the show, Holland, cause face it, that kid was buried with our current depth chart.
-He adds a bigger body for Hamilton, Tangradi, and a useful call up, that has already cleared waivers and so can be moved up and down all year in the case of injuries.
-He sends a positive message to four players that undoubtedly reverberates with players around the league.
If he can do good by Boullion(player/coach in Hamilton) and Moen(trade to a team with little depth) he will make future negotiations all that much smoother and cheaper.
He’s looking very astute and is growing as a G.M.
I just saw the Resivior Dogs. PET edition.
ReplyDeleteTangradi was a teammate of P.K. Subban’s for three seasons with the Belleville Bulls.
ReplyDeleteHe is the goon we need. We pay him a high price, but in the end its good hockey biz, as Two cents said above great management.
DeleteWhat? Buddha traded? I've been gorging on football all day and this is news to me. Hi Ho, Hi Ho, its off to HI/O I go.......
ReplyDeleteDon't really get the trade, but I'm sure the management knows what they're doing.
ReplyDeleteTime was of the essence here, season is starting in a few days, both goalies would have had to be put on waivers and a team would have snatched one of them up leaving Bergevin with nothing in return. Tokarski is about 10 years younger, Budaj had a higher cap hit. Also explains why Bergevin picked up Joey MacDonald. Tangradi will play in the AH and be a call-up in case of injury.
DeleteOK, I'm back. Good move by GMMB, finds a home for Buddha where he will get to play a bit more, 'cause Pavelec sucks often and Paul Maurice will like this guy. Tangradi, 6'-4" and 220 lbs, originally from Philthy, hey I'd take him with the team there this weekend. Couldn't hurt.
ReplyDelete...or maybe he could.

PRESS RELEASE
MONTREAL – Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin and head coach Michel Therrien met Monday morning with Francis Bouillon to advise him that the Club will not be offering him a contract for the upcoming season.

P.K. Subban just admitted he intentionally farts in front of the net to annoy the opposition. I'm sure Carey Price must love that.

Jets put Budaj on waivers.
ReplyDelete"The Winnipeg Jets have reportedly placed Peter Budaj on waivers one day after acquiring the goaltender from the Montreal Canadiens.
ReplyDeleteThe move makes little sense considering Sunday's trade. The deal relieved Montreal of Budaj's salary and the only other piece Winnipeg received is a player with five games of NHL experience. Should Budaj clear waivers, nearly $500,000 of his contract will still count against the Jets' salary cap."
this makes no sense? Somehow the Man is involved, I will get to the bottom of it.
DeleteAs I suspected, George Weston is going to buy Molson Coors and this was just a sidedeal.
Delete2 more sleeps....
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!
Merci Cube de Bouillon. Especially for this;
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vPURa95SvQ
I'd pick up McLaren off waivers and turn him lose Wednesday night against the leaf. Doughboy and Pylon would be wetting themselves.....

I hate to offend anyone but Moeman. His greatest hits, his memories of earning almost 2 mill a year they are not hear for me.
ReplyDeleteI relize that how you treat players like Moemen effect future free agents. So this execution has to be done with class. How about Red Bull and 100 proof whiskey at Sexzone?
I had the right here and I changed it, yes I hear voices saying dump Moeman.
DeleteCan I say it was not kosher? Well nevertheless I will. Kosher means its safe to consume in my deep study of the Torah.
ReplyDeleteThe Booty Budda trade was not Kosher. If Budda winds up riding the buses in the Peg neighborhood, this is a shite deal. NOt Kosher. Meanwhile on St Catherines St they are ready to drunken kill Moeman. Does the Man run this team now? When Jeff brought in the LED lighting which we all applaud, I did not see a side deal with the Illuminati.
“I’d like to thank everyone. I have nothing but good memories from my time here. I’ll be a Canadien forever, no matter what comes next. I’d like to thank all of the fans I’ve met over the years, whether at the grocery store or at a gas station, who have always supported me,” underlined an emotional Bouillon after meeting with head coach Michel Therrien and general manager Marc Bergevin in person on Monday morning.
ReplyDelete“This organization has treated me with class right until the end.
Good guy that Cube.
DeleteYes, thanks to the Cube. Unfortunately, sometimes we have to make way for youth. This is one of those times.
DeleteSo according to lnet, the Habs a player phil kessel and the leaf. Sickfuckingly the ke$$eltracker lives. lnet will make the cockroaches look like gnats.
ReplyDeleteIn the same sentence tsn's that's leaf calls our young Dman 'boisloo', 'boilyou' and 'boYUL'.
ReplyDeleteThey are classless fucks. However, I have a hard time wrapping my tongue around N8's last name. I guess it's all which syllable you accent.
DeleteMr. Hickey and Mr. Todd at the Gazette are calling the Habs contenders. I will withhold judgement for the first few months as I expect the new acquisitions and the young D to get acclimated to their new surroundings. Their opening road trip is brutal and may cause early panic amongst the FHFaithful. As long as they beat the fucking leaf I'll be happy...
ReplyDeleteOMFG, if I lose any more comments to the interwebs, I'm a gonna kill Bill. Been a long time, been busy with life and really it's football season so I have that team to manage (hey McCoy, please suck less). But yeah, can't wait for Wednesday night...American Horror Story:Freakshow starts! And something else starts that night too...what was it? OH YEAH! Hockey!
ReplyDeleteJust gotta figure out who's playing where before my Wednesday night office pool (at the pub of course) and how high do i take gCHuk (I think he's our leading scorer this year).
See ya later Budaj and Cube. Been great teammates from all I can tell.
Ya know, it still makes me a bit ill every time i see a story on McDonagh. He's now the captain of the Rangers. Oddly no stories about him being too young or immature though.
The sad part was BG and PG basically traded Chris Higgins, whom I liked, for the utterly useless Nomez and McDonagh was thrown in for nothing. Kill me.
DeleteOur starting lineup Wed. Very impressive on paper
ReplyDeleteMax Pacioretty(patches) – David Desharnais(DDD) – P.A. Parenteau (Outkast?)
Alex Galchenyuk (gCHuck) – Tomas Plekanec (PleXXXe)– Brendan Gallagher (KidG)
Rene Bourque RBQ– Lars Eller (Lego)– Jiri Sekac (P2?)
Brandon Prust (Charger)– Manny Malhotra (Aloha?) – Dale Weise (Chip)
Andrei Markov ( Vodkov) – P.K. Subban (PFK)
Tom Gilbert (Got Nothing)– Nathan Beaulieu (Bo, Bo Hunk)
Mike Weaver (Dreamweaver?) – Jarred Tinordi (Tin Tin)
Alexei Emelin (Y)
Parenteau: I admittedly haven't seen much of him, but suspect he's not a tough body checking type. But if he is (or could be) and routinely pastes guys on the boards, he could be Papsmear...or just PAPpy.
DeleteSekac: The guys call him Gump in the room apparently. So you could go with Gumper. Or just use his reverse name - Cakes. I like Cakes.
Tom Gilbert: Tough one. How about Zhilbare (you know, francaphonizing his name - and using 'bare' instead of 'bear' because you don't want to be affilliated with that winnie the pooh shitstained team by accident).
...and we like bare stuff around here.
DeleteI like SekaCH because over 12-14 teams vying to get him he CHose les CH and when they say his name, the ending sounds like shhh.
DeleteSick fucking leaf splooging headline at tsn. Fucking mediots.
ReplyDeleteOf course, they won't write the truth: "Leafs join Bruins As Their GM's Failed To Manage The Cap And Realize That The Montreal Canadiens' Bergevin Is The Example They Should Follow ."
DeleteAlso noted that TSN is airing a Montreal / Ottawa game tonight.
DeleteWow, Magnan's is closing after something like 80+ years.
ReplyDeleteWhat!
DeleteAre you serious?
Yep, I was pretty shocked too. Citing reasons the cost of beef, on-going construction of condos along the canal, traffic on the bridges - customers from south shore not making the trips they used to and 'deal of the day' discounts as offered by other places on groupon and such which they don't do because of the cost of beef.
DeleteOne waiter who worked there 40yrs says at his age other places probably won't hire him and some others have 25 and 35yrs there are in the same situation. No pension he said, but that is the industry. 65 people will be out of work.
Lego in, De La Rose sent to Hamilton.
ReplyDeleteI fell bad for Budag, he cleared waivers and they sent him to the AHL, he hasn't played in the AHL in 10 years.
ReplyDeleteGio is Captain again.
ReplyDeleteJosh Gorges and Matt Moulson will serve as Sabres alternate captains.
DeleteWow, Sabres owe the Habs for some big pieces. Go Sabres! when you play the fucking leaf.
DeleteI just don't get the all or nothing bring the cup to me bullshit from The Large Flightless Birds.
ReplyDeleteYes they have Sidney the Whiner, and more importantly they got that big fucking Malkin guy.
But that doesn't make them cup people. I mean no, not, sorry, go fuck yourselves. And your uniforms look stupid.
YA! There I'm in mid-season form already.
I have to find some Shoc Top for tomorrow.
