We who give but our commentary shall never complain about the timing for fresh material! You rock Moeman! Another late one so catch you in the morning! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!
"As if the hiring of Chris Pronger wasn't enough, the league has reached out to former New Jersey Devils defenseman Scott Stevens about a job as part of Stephane Quintal's disciplinary team, according Bob McKenzie of TSN."
Thx kids. Looooooooong day, most of it on the road BUT I did pick up a new iPad Air 2 and a new iPhone 6, both slate grey, so I'm tired but happy. GYFHG!
I just wanted to say the Hockey Game TV channel game that Steve posted yesterday was hilarious. What really brought home the "But it's in Punjabi!" line was Rick Mercer's delivery. The guy's hilarious. "It really is a musical language..."
Mmmmmmmm...that prime rib melt from Subway looks good. Hope we get to try it over here. They just got egg salad and I watched in horror the last time I went as Korean after Korean got it all dressed. Yes, jalopenos, olives, BBQ sauce and honey mustard on egg salad. They have no idea what good food is here.
It's like they've been told they will be docked pay for each shot they take on the PP. They look absolutely scared to shoot it. And then they're so out of practice when they do take a shot they either flub it or miss the net by 10 feet.
Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
They showed it on SN. They met in Sochi. Maybe not engaged, but going out. Apparently they all went out for dinner last night. Weber and Price were roommates in MTL.
SN refused to show any replays, probably because it proves them wrong. But that looked like another dangerous hit on Plexxxe a little while ago. I'll have to review it during commercial.
Wow. Just wow. SN is worse than HNIC. For those not watching:
After talking about how the Nuck goal was the best of the season, with an aside, "Where was the defence?!" because they're fucking idiots, this exchange happened.
"Well, the problem with two Canadian teams playing is that in Vancouver the headline will be 'Great Goal' but the headline in Montreal will be, "Where was the penalty?"
"Well, it was close. It's hard to say if it was shoulder to chest or shoulder to the head,"
"Even then, was it a late hit? If so it should have been a penalty"
Not sure what pisses me off more, the fact that the play wasn't called dead, or the fact that no Hab stepped up to Burrows. Listen guys, the refs are never going to do you any favours. If you don't at least stand up for your teammates you'll continue to get walked all over.
According to RDS - Carbonneau & Brunet, it doesn' t warrent a penalty, (Y) was sort of bent over with his head down, Burrows didn't change direction. What? so, it's ok to aim for the head with your elbow?
What I liked watching on that goal was way after it went in and Gkid went up ice to celebrate with his teammates a Nuck gave him a shot in the face. I'm starting to see why everyone in the West hates this team.
It's games like this where I just want to quit this league. Complete fucking robbery by the refs. This is why I took a year off a few years ago. Not to be too fatalist, but what's the point of caring so much about this game when the league doesn't even try to hide their BS?
It's very frustrating. Wings got fucking robbed, Holtby fell with absolutely no one remotely near him, they score, the fucking ref calls a penalty for goalie interference, teh goal waved off by another zebra. How is it fucking possible that 2 zebras make calls on something both of them never saw.
That's when I knew they lost. Refs weren't going to let the Habs win. I know that sounds like crazy homer BS, but we've seen enough proof on this trip. It's not just one or two calls. It's almost every call, and it's only going one way. Just frustrated as a fan. What's the point of watching?
Every Eastern team fan knows their team has to overcome the refs when playing a Western opponent, especially in the West. It's been pretty much general knowledge for the last few years. For some reason the NHL is pushing the West, which is weird since they're much stronger without the help. The officiating on this trip is the worst I've seen over several games in years. Which is saying quite a bit in the NHL.
Happy Halloween everyone - I will take solace in a 3 point Western swing but worrying trends continue clearly. I must watch the game later today before commenting fully - might leave it fro SF...but not having a powerplay is going to come back to haunt them sooner rather than later. From the comments Iread (Thanks O-Man, Juce, Moeman, and a drunk 29!) - the Habs are still spending all their time passing around the puck but not shooting the puck...Someone tell me why!!?? We've all said it a lot - you can't score if you don't shoot. The only perfect shot is the one that goes into the net. So stop trying to find the perfect shot - AND TAKE THE FUCKING SHOT! That's all for now.
OK, I'd like to chime in here despite not watching the game and point out something to my fellow Habs and FHF fans. Reading through the comments it was obvious that some things will never change, the refs will fuck them every chance they get or are completely incompetent and Sportnet's Habs hating broadcast crew will trash them at every opportunity. All that being said, guess who is No. 1 in the whole 30 team bettmanNHL? That's right, our Montreal Canadiens. Read'em and weep mediots, cockroaches and various other vermin who "report" on hockey. Side note: broons No. 16 and leaf No. 24. IAIG.
"We all saw the hit to the head on Emelin and instead of having a power play of five minutes the puck is in your own net," said the coach. "That was a dirty hit to the head."
Blob Mackenzie says replays weren't very good, he had to view one that he found from RDS which had an ice view which shows there was definitely intitial contact to the head and believes a suspension will be handed out. Good on RDS. Cover up from other cockroach broadcasts.
Go Habs Go!!!
ReplyDeleteNo worries, moeman game is late anyway.
ReplyDeleteIn the spirit of All Hallows' Eve and a la Hithhcock, this is pretty cool.

I just wanted to say the Hockey Game TV channel game that Steve posted yesterday was hilarious. What really brought home the "But it's in Punjabi!" line was Rick Mercer's delivery. The guy's hilarious. "It really is a musical language..."

ReplyDeleteGod I'm hungry. Been going on candy all day.
I've always enjoyed Habs vs. Nucks games. Outside of Chicago, Vancouver would be a fave Stanley Cup Finals matchup.
ReplyDeletescrew that! everybody here is a d-bag! we are the bawston of canada. ide take any orig6 final over vcr any day!
DeletePepper steak, garlic mashed.
ReplyDelete... and margharita cookies.
DeleteSome sort of (chinese)? macaroni, chicken, shallots and soya sauce concoction - but pretty good.
DeleteSounds like home ice.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!!
They seem very hesitant to shoot the puck at the net and sometimes even not sure who to pass it to.
ReplyDeleteIt's like they've been told they will be docked pay for each shot they take on the PP. They look absolutely scared to shoot it. And then they're so out of practice when they do take a shot they either flub it or miss the net by 10 feet.

ReplyDeleteHawks 5-4 in OT
ReplyDeleteTampa 4-3 over Philthy.
ReplyDeleteShoot it, cashi it!
ReplyDeleteThey just won't shoot it.
ReplyDeleteBest bet would be to decline any future PPs. At this point, there's a better chance they'll score when on the PK.
ReplyDeleteThey do have more SH goals in the last 3 games than PP goals. That is actually true.
DeleteEek!
DeleteThey're thinking too much on the PP, only gCHyuk seem to play with a natural flow and instinct - that boys gonna break.
ReplyDelete0 shots on 2 PPs. Yup.
ReplyDeletePatches rhymes with passes.
ReplyDeleteDD can have some good chances to shoot on the pp but chooses to pass all the time.
ReplyDeletejust once ide like to see prust on the pp with gallagjer and CHuck, with (Y) back there blasting away
DeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought I heard Lego was scratched and Carnaval would be in the line-up.
ReplyDeleteJinx!
DeleteI thought Lego was scratched. I'm glad he's not.
ReplyDeleteWord is DGMB had a 'CHat' with Lego. He isn't the only player not producing.
ReplyDeleteThat's true, he always seems to be the whipping boy.
DeleteAll that zone time...and no shots.
ReplyDeleteLots of hockey to play, they'll get on track.
DeleteAnd the crowd CHants CaRey, CaRey, CaRey....
ReplyDeleteWho's Canada's team?
DeleteDon't ask the mediots.
TFS!
ReplyDeleteQuasi jinx.
DeleteLots of Habs fans in the crowd. This despite cockroaches attempt to fuck all Canadian teams but their own, over decades.
ReplyDeleteNice for them to see TFS, kidG,wearing the blue, blanc, rouge up close.
Deleteis lego considered undersized or something?
ReplyDelete(ive always pictured him something like leclair before he got to the phliars)
can he play more physical and dominate? or is he too ingrained into thinking his bread and butter is finesse?
Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!

You saw Tinordi mouth the F word on that one, close to opening the score.
ReplyDeleteis lego considered undersized or something?
ReplyDelete(ive always pictured him something like leclair before he got to the phliars)
can he play more physical and dominate? or is he too ingrained into thinking his bread and butter is finesse?
Ok boys, don't think too hard......cash it!
ReplyDeleteLOL, the SN guys are so anti-Habs. gCHuck apparently 'skated into his stick!'.
ReplyDeleteLook at that, two shots and two good chances. It's almost like the only way you can score is by putting it on net.
ReplyDeleteMerde
ReplyDelete(Y) hurt by a direct headshot by Burrows and no call.MT is furious and the ref won't even talk to him.
ReplyDeleteelbow to the head.
DeleteWow
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!
ReplyDelete"Emelin takes big hit!" You mean the headshot? Anyway, terrible giveaway.
ReplyDeleteElbow to the head, clear-cut and nothing 'border line' about it. No call, now they'll think it's carte-blanche tor head hunting. I hope (Y) is ok.
DeleteVancouver does the "Woo" now? Can you get any more pathetic than copying Boston? Especially after what they did to you a few years ago? ugh.
ReplyDeleteRef was right there when (Y) was hit and stared down at him as he was down on the ice.
ReplyDeleteWeber is engaged to TFS's sister?
ReplyDeleteReally? Where did that come from?
DeleteThey showed it on SN. They met in Sochi. Maybe not engaged, but going out. Apparently they all went out for dinner last night. Weber and Price were roommates in MTL.
DeleteIan Walsh you fucking POS.
ReplyDeleteI hope DoP reviews that elbow to the head.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Christ "Head Shot" Pronger will take a look.
DeleteMaybe they'll just wait till Scott Stevens hops on board.
DeleteSN refused to show any replays, probably because it proves them wrong. But that looked like another dangerous hit on Plexxxe a little while ago. I'll have to review it during commercial.
ReplyDeleteWeise is injured? I missed something somewhere.
DeleteRDS showed it and it was clearly elbow directly to the head.
DeleteYep, we're out 2 players, maybe more to come during intermission.
ReplyDelete..more info I mean
Deletehttp://gfycat.com/HugeKnobbyDalmatian
ReplyDeleteSeriously, how is this NOT a headshot?!
And SN refuses to even talk about it.
DeleteThanks. Notice the ref just put his hands up to shield his face? Just like Schultz I see nothing!
DeleteWow. Just wow. SN is worse than HNIC. For those not watching:
ReplyDeleteAfter talking about how the Nuck goal was the best of the season, with an aside, "Where was the defence?!" because they're fucking idiots, this exchange happened.

"Well, it was close. It's hard to say if it was shoulder to chest or shoulder to the head,"
"Even then, was it a late hit? If so it should have been a penalty"
"Yeah, it's hard to say,"
"Well, I think it was a la-----"
Music plays, cuts to commercial.
Oh my god, now they're saying that it's irrelevant, it had nothing to do with the goal.
DeleteHow long do these morons have the rights for?
Helloooo!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI just walked in, I am drunk as fuck but let's do this 3rd period GYFHG
Not sure what pisses me off more, the fact that the play wasn't called dead, or the fact that no Hab stepped up to Burrows. Listen guys, the refs are never going to do you any favours. If you don't at least stand up for your teammates you'll continue to get walked all over.
ReplyDeleteI was in a bar when this happened and I'm sort of fuzzy, but I trust your judgment o'man, so I'm pissed too
DeleteKorea? juce? you still here?
ReplyDeleteI'm in class now, so have to be covert. But it's halloween so I've got them coloring and eating candy.
DeleteAccording to RDS - Carbonneau & Brunet, it doesn' t warrent a penalty, (Y) was sort of bent over with his head down, Burrows didn't change direction. What? so, it's ok to aim for the head with your elbow?
ReplyDeleteCRAP CRAP
ReplyDeleteI'm going back out....
After all that, Price lets in a softie.
ReplyDelete(Y) & Weise are back, thank goodness. I guess that'll get Burrows off the hook from any phone call.
