  17. I just wanted to say the Hockey Game TV channel game that Steve posted yesterday was hilarious. What really brought home the "But it's in Punjabi!" line was Rick Mercer's delivery. The guy's hilarious. "It really is a musical language..."

    Hilarious.

  19. Mmmmmmmm...that prime rib melt from Subway looks good. Hope we get to try it over here. They just got egg salad and I watched in horror the last time I went as Korean after Korean got it all dressed. Yes, jalopenos, olives, BBQ sauce and honey mustard on egg salad. They have no idea what good food is here.

God I'm hungry. Been going on candy all day.

  20. I've always enjoyed Habs vs. Nucks games. Outside of Chicago, Vancouver would be a fave Stanley Cup Finals matchup.

    Go Habs Go!!

  23. They seem very hesitant to shoot the puck at the net and sometimes even not sure who to pass it to.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It's like they've been told they will be docked pay for each shot they take on the PP. They look absolutely scared to shoot it. And then they're so out of practice when they do take a shot they either flub it or miss the net by 10 feet.

      Delete
  24. Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Tampa 4-3 over Philthy.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Shoot it, cashi it!

    ReplyDelete
  27. They just won't shoot it.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Best bet would be to decline any future PPs. At this point, there's a better chance they'll score when on the PK.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. They do have more SH goals in the last 3 games than PP goals. That is actually true.

      Delete
  29. They're thinking too much on the PP, only gCHyuk seem to play with a natural flow and instinct - that boys gonna break.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 0 shots on 2 PPs. Yup.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Patches rhymes with passes.

    ReplyDelete
  32. DD can have some good chances to shoot on the pp but chooses to pass all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  46. LOL, the SN guys are so anti-Habs. gCHuck apparently 'skated into his stick!'.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Look at that, two shots and two good chances. It's almost like the only way you can score is by putting it on net.

    ReplyDelete
  48. (Y) hurt by a direct headshot by Burrows and no call.MT is furious and the ref won't even talk to him.

    1. Elbow to the head, clear-cut and nothing 'border line' about it. No call, now they'll think it's carte-blanche tor head hunting. I hope (Y) is ok.

  51. Vancouver does the "Woo" now? Can you get any more pathetic than copying Boston? Especially after what they did to you a few years ago? ugh.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Ref was right there when (Y) was hit and stared down at him as he was down on the ice.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Weber is engaged to TFS's sister?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Really? Where did that come from?

      Delete
    2. They showed it on SN. They met in Sochi. Maybe not engaged, but going out. Apparently they all went out for dinner last night. Weber and Price were roommates in MTL.

  56. SN refused to show any replays, probably because it proves them wrong. But that looked like another dangerous hit on Plexxxe a little while ago. I'll have to review it during commercial.

    1. And SN refuses to even talk about it.

      Delete
    2. Thanks. Notice the ref just put his hands up to shield his face? Just like Schultz I see nothing!

      Delete
  59. Wow. Just wow. SN is worse than HNIC. For those not watching:

After talking about how the Nuck goal was the best of the season, with an aside, "Where was the defence?!" because they're fucking idiots, this exchange happened.

"Well, the problem with two Canadian teams playing is that in Vancouver the headline will be 'Great Goal' but the headline in Montreal will be, "Where was the penalty?"

"Well, it was close. It's hard to say if it was shoulder to chest or shoulder to the head,"

"Even then, was it a late hit? If so it should have been a penalty"

    "Yeah, it's hard to say,"

"Well, I think it was a la-----"

    Music plays, cuts to commercial.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Oh my god, now they're saying that it's irrelevant, it had nothing to do with the goal.

I just walked in, I am drunk as fuck but let's do this 3rd period GYFHG

    ReplyDelete
  61. Not sure what pisses me off more, the fact that the play wasn't called dead, or the fact that no Hab stepped up to Burrows. Listen guys, the refs are never going to do you any favours. If you don't at least stand up for your teammates you'll continue to get walked all over.

  63. According to RDS - Carbonneau & Brunet, it doesn' t warrent a penalty, (Y) was sort of bent over with his head down, Burrows didn't change direction. What? so, it's ok to aim for the head with your elbow?

    ReplyDelete
  64. CRAP CRAP

    I'm going back out....

    ReplyDelete
  65. After all that, Price lets in a softie.

  102. oh fuck. you can't throw a pick anymore?

    ReplyDelete
  103. Oh refs. That's a penalty but an elbow to the head in open ice isn't. This fucking league...

    ReplyDelete
  104. And then that's not interference. WHAT'S THE FUCKING DIFFERENCE!

    ReplyDelete
  105. Fuck with 5 secs left of the PP

    ReplyDelete

  107. Canucks should have had an interference penalty - no fiuckingcall.

  108. Welp. Goodnight FHFers.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Fucking tainted refs.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Well, 3 of 6 pts,

    ReplyDelete
  111. It's games like this where I just want to quit this league. Complete fucking robbery by the refs. This is why I took a year off a few years ago. Not to be too fatalist, but what's the point of caring so much about this game when the league doesn't even try to hide their BS?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It's very frustrating. Wings got fucking robbed, Holtby fell with absolutely no one remotely near him, they score, the fucking ref calls a penalty for goalie interference, teh goal waved off by another zebra. How is it fucking possible that 2 zebras make calls on something both of them never saw.

  112. fml... i just got olé oké oléd out of the pub im here at. (in stupid riot land vcr)

  113. When Bieksa interfered on Manny, the Habs benCH was jumping.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That's when I knew they lost. Refs weren't going to let the Habs win. I know that sounds like crazy homer BS, but we've seen enough proof on this trip. It's not just one or two calls. It's almost every call, and it's only going one way. Just frustrated as a fan. What's the point of watching?

      Fuck Bettman and his league.

      Delete
  114. Every Eastern team fan knows their team has to overcome the refs when playing a Western opponent, especially in the West. It's been pretty much general knowledge for the last few years. For some reason the NHL is pushing the West, which is weird since they're much stronger without the help. The officiating on this trip is the worst I've seen over several games in years. Which is saying quite a bit in the NHL.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Good night everyone, thanks, moeman for burning the midnight candle.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Good night! Happy Halloween!

    ReplyDelete
  117. Happy Halloween everyone - I will take solace in a 3 point Western swing but worrying trends continue clearly. I must watch the game later today before commenting fully - might leave it fro SF...but not having a powerplay is going to come back to haunt them sooner rather than later. From the comments Iread (Thanks O-Man, Juce, Moeman, and a drunk 29!) - the Habs are still spending all their time passing around the puck but not shooting the puck...Someone tell me why!!?? We've all said it a lot - you can't score if you don't shoot. The only perfect shot is the one that goes into the net. So stop trying to find the perfect shot - AND TAKE THE FUCKING SHOT! That's all for now.

Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!

    ReplyDelete
  118. the Maritimer7:22 AM

OK, I'd like to chime in here despite not watching the game and point out something to my fellow Habs and FHF fans. Reading through the comments it was obvious that some things will never change, the refs will fuck them every chance they get or are completely incompetent and Sportnet's Habs hating broadcast crew will trash them at every opportunity. All that being said, guess who is No. 1 in the whole 30 team bettmanNHL? That's right, our Montreal Canadiens. Read'em and weep mediots, cockroaches and various other vermin who "report" on hockey. Side note: broons No. 16 and leaf No. 24. IAIG.

    ReplyDelete
  119. "We all saw the hit to the head on Emelin and instead of having a power play of five minutes the puck is in your own net," said the coach. "That was a dirty hit to the head."

He certainly didn't mince words. Good.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Blob Mackenzie says replays weren't very good, he had to view one that he found from RDS which had an ice view which shows there was definitely intitial contact to the head and believes a suspension will be handed out. Good on RDS.
Cover up from other cockroach broadcasts.
