  65. Yay! 7-1 Baby! Perfect at home!

I hate to bring it up, but the officiating is ridiculous. Just just the fact that the Habs have had a grand total of 2 PPs in the last 2 games, but every borderline offside and icing goes against them while their opponents seem to always get the benefit of the doubt. Several plays whistled down, and when I rewinded it was clearly not offside. Same with the Wings game.

Anyway, it's working so whatever. That 2 on 0 shortie was hilarious and awesome. GO HABS GO! Bring on Western Canada!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Offsides are way off balance so far. Refs cannot keep up with the players. I think the leaf has something like a half dozen offside goals already. Oh, wait.

I remember she came and watched me play one time back up in an arena in Markham before we moved to the UK. She spent the first period complaining about how cold it was in the stands and the rest of the night in the bar. Never came to another game.

  68. the Maritimer8:57 AM

Good morning FHF'ers! What a great hockey evening the Maritimer had last night. Decided to go to the Sea Dogs game last night, they played a Baie Comeau Drakkar team coming in on a 6 game winning streak. All I can say is: wow. A 6-2 Saint John victory featuring 4 fights, many game misconducts (for B.C.) and a Drakkar player ejected for head butting. One of the fights was Bokondji Imama...he was an invitee to the Habs rookie camp in September and can this kid ever throw'em. The Saint John player held his own...but man, what a tilt! Then I come home, fire up the PVR for the Habs game...enjoyed the opening ceremony btw...and watched the Habs dispose of the Rags...complete with a 2 on 0, the last one of those I can remember was Mike McPhee and Claude Lemieux back in '86 against the Rangers in the playoffs! Great games by Price, Lego, CHip, Patches and superPleXXXe. Too bad it wasn't asshole Cryder that CHarger beat up.

I made a seafood chowder for dinner with fresh dinner rolls... whan I was watching the game I was drinking this new Rickard's Lederhosen beer and wondering why I was getting such a buzz off it until I noticed it was 6.5% alcohol. Giddyup!

Today I'm doing a whole chicken on the BBQ with mashed potatoes, squash, broccoli, homemade cranberries and homemade apple pie. Yummy!

  71. One of the funnier offshoots of the mega cash-grab-let-the-fans-find-the-CHannels lnet/NHL deal is that all that coin will feed a higher cap, which means all of lnet's leaf sucking grabbed eyeballs will benefit the Habs signing, long-term, jewels like gCHuk, KidG, 3M (aka MyManMalhotra (just made that up FHFers!)), TFS™ beyond 2020 (insert your own eye joke here), etc. Thanks leafool$.

    1. the Maritimer8:37 PM

A fly in the ointment could be a low Canadian dollar. That could hurt the NHL's bottom line and hence keep the cap a bit lower. That in turn hurts the leaf who have to pay top dollar for useless players like pHat pHil, Pylon Dion, Wendel Clarkson and to top it off they have to pay Grabitchski $1.7mil per year until 2020 for his buyout. leafool$ indeed.

Meanwhile, GMMB has over $5mil in cap space available for some fine tuning. Guess they ain't so good at math in tranna and are poor talent evaluators.
