  1. I can't recollect much of his on-ice play but I loved listening to Gilles break down plays. A true gentleman and sCHolar of the game. Few, if any, like him today. Peace.

    1. I'll also mentioned when the cbc fucked over 'La Soirée du Hockey' on Radio-Canada with some sick fuck claim of lack of funds, we, Habs and hockey fans, lost some amazing hockey voices, to be replaced with what? The complete and utter disrespect that the Montreal Canadiens have suffered at the hands of the cockroaches is fuckingly sickening.

    2. Also, RIP although I'm not too familiar with his work. But once a Hab always a Hab.

      I remember the Tremblay's.
JC had that flip with the puck had it bounce just in front of the goalie.
      I have Gilles autograph.
On a different note what a fucked up schedule.
Five games in eight nights, then, four days off then back to back games against the same team.
      Go Habs

  2. I mentioned last thread that TSN was hiding the leaf score because they were losing. Since, they've tied it up and suddenly it's the first in the score line at the top. It's just so petty. It doesn't even matter, but it's just so....petty.

  5. brothers.... just catching up from the prior post.

    1. excellent back to back observations from orangeman at 1018. i absolutely agree and am absolutely scared crapless thinking about later in the season when those 4pt games come up. not worried about the frequency of their losses, but like orangeman points out: the severity

    2. excellent post by steve yd at 0905. i never considered this team a set of blade runners, but i guess ure right. so long as eMTy is here, the team wont be winning games on their defensive strengths so um.... yeah. i agree. why not. lets just pummel the opponents on the scoreboard. to hell with grinding out these character building wins. bring back the carbo years!

  6. Sometime I drift of course. For me Hockey is humanity and I want a free discourse!

  7. Hey, I'll give credit where it's due, so with SN mediot Luke Fox putting a Haiku to each team's rankings for a little extra creativity, I will give kudos...then you check out the 'poems' just taking our three 'favourite teams' for example:

    Habs ranked 7th - down from 5th
    NHL leaders
    Plus-4 goal differential
    Unsustainable?

SN analysis - we at SN sure as hell hope not and have our fingers crossed.

    Bruins - ranked 11th, down from 10th

    Zdeno Chara
Skates again, but could be two
    Weeks away — Hurry!

SN analysis: Please you fucking shaved ape - come back and help our back up team get ahead of the habs

    Toronto - ranked 17th up from 18th

    Bounced back quite lovely
    Sabres, Nashville in rear view
    We salute you, Leafs

    SN analysis: THIS

    2. Sn knows about as much about Haiku as they do about hockey. Haiku is 17 words total - 5/7/5 So none of that is worth a shit - much like their analysis of the teams. Try this...

      Habs are ranked as seventh
How the fuck does that work out
      They are leading the league

      maple leafs continue to suck
they have always been a shit team
      Since I was a child

      boston a bunch of goons
lucic hasn't handled his steroids well
      He is now washed up

Stick those Haikus up your fucking arse SN!!

    5. Cheers Moeman - I loves me a good Haiku - so I couldn't let the shit they were shovelling go unchallenged!

    6. Nice poems KmaXXX...and I ain't no poetry expert, but I believe it's 5/7/5 syllables. But who the fuck cares. Your works are great. Rogers/SN are a bunch of narcisistic, leaf loving, crap spewing fools like moeman says.

And I say go ahead, keep dropping the Habs in your rankings to make yourselves feel better about your wretched team.

    7. Well spotted Paddy - I did use "poetic licence" by going over the number of "sounds" ...but it was more about correcting the wrong that is SN (I know - it's a much bigger job than that!). Let me have a re-work...

      Habs ranked seventh
How the fuck does that work out
      leading the league

      maple leafs suck
      always been a shit team
      As long as I live

      boston are goons
      lucic is a cocksucker
      He is finished

For all the english teachers out there, forgive me the obvious lack of image juxtaposition - I was going more for impact and effect...

Now then - can we get back to fucking Hockey !! Bring on Sexy Black Friday Mr. Moeman!!

I love this place and the posters who provide true insight into the actual workings of the biased mediot outlets. All the leafool/fans that run those joints wouldn't know a real hockey team if it punched them in the face.

  12. Just when you think you heard everything. Nilan discussing the PP on the radio and some broon fan called in to talk about the broon game and said the reason the shit-stainers didn't fight the Habs is because their Moms were there - would you beat up a guy in front of their mother? Nilan told him of course I would, come up with another excuse and if you want to call and talk at least make sense not come up with nonsense.

  13. So the Habbies played 6/9 nights, then have 4 off, then they'll play 6/9 again (all on the road), then 2/9 and 6/17 (which doesn't include xmas break). #schedulerslogic

Not that I'm blaming the schedule for anything. It just seems odd that every road trip seems completely rushed, like it needs to be done within 3 days. I'm sure it's the same for other teams, too.

  14. Sorry, the 6/9 aren't all on the road, 5/6 of them are.

Man, DD is getting trashed over at HI/O. I think circumstances got him where he is, chemistry with Max, his ancestry obviously and a sheer lack of options for management at the time. I admire his determination but he's in over his head, no pun intended. Teams have long figured out how to defend against him and his lack of size and strength really limit what he can do on the ice. Therrien is reluctant to replace him on the PP with Eller or gCHuk so things will continue as they are no matter who is on the points. I'll be glad when the Habs get back in game action so people won't be so focused on one thing. That's what happens when you get smoked and have to wait a week to play again.

    Even 29 has disappeared.
