You know you're amazing when the team willingly gives up it's record sell out streak in order to keep your seat open in memory.
ReplyDeleteClass. Pure mother fucking class our Habs are.
Great SF, moeman.
ReplyDeleteThx.
DeleteLove the Elise Beliveau pic.
ReplyDeleteI am so proud to be a Habs fan.
I heard someone say that Stubbs had asked mme Beliveau at some point if she was tired and maybe go home and get some rest and she said 'no, we are Beliveaus'
ReplyDeleteGreat SF Moeman - Nice ones all round! I too am incredibly proud to be a Habs fan. They might not always win these days, but they have the pedigree of a true champion and everything they do in public exudes class. The benchmark by which all others are measured.
ReplyDeleteI will miss most of the match tonight - Company Christmas party somewhere in the City (financial district of London to you)...might be a bit messy - but the menu looks pretty good...Starter
Chinese Pearl Barley Risotto with thinly sliced Apple and Fennel Salad
Main
Blade of Beef Served with Swiss Rosti, Parsnip Puree, Oven Roasted Chantenay Carrots and Green Beans
-
Wild Mushroom and Cheese Macaroni Served with Sweet Potato Pont Neuf and Homemade Coleslaw
Dessert
Scrumptious Sticky Toffee Pudding served with Clotted Cream Ice Cream
Go Habs Go!!
mmm bon appetit!
DeleteGreat as usual SF Moeman! The new Habs take to the ice tonite in a real test. Go gCHuck Go!
ReplyDelete29 chimes in with a very interesting report from the battlefield. Is the MAN winning at last?
ReplyDeleteThx to my new publicist steve!
Delete29 - so you say downloading from a torrent isn't "criminal", but it is a fineable (finable?) offence? Correct? Just curious - I always thought there was no punishment in canada (guess I need to start reading some internet lawyer blog or something).
DeleteSo what about sites like shush.se that offer free streaming? Think they're in danger of being raided too?
And....GO HABS!
@St Paddy this is a hockey site for christ sake. I can not think of anyone except for you who has ever made a non hockey coment:) Especially me and I think I hold some kind of corsi record in pocession. If you want to fight the man really join in a choice. Anybody but Harper! All pols are going to fuck you up the ass. As I undertand it Justin is fighting this by making lubricants no longer tax deductible. A small step but anything anti anal has to be viewed as less smelly.
Delete@Saint Paddy
DeleteA brief explanation of the law in Canada. There are 2 types of law - criminal and civil. Criminal law is when you do something bad and you have the possibility of going to jail (like steve). Civil law is when you do something bad, but you can't go to jail, but someone can sue you (like steve). "Fines" exist in both types. For downloading, you cannot be sent to jail (in Canada) but could get sued or "fined", although in civil law (like downloading) the fine would be called "statutory damages". Meaning the courts would order you to pay money to the person who sued you, i.e. the movie studio that owned the copyright on the movie you downloaded.
The free streaming sites tend to operate in jurisdictions where they would never be shut down (former soviet republics for the most part)
Bon vendredi sexxxxy mes ami(e)s! Killer work moe
ReplyDeleteLet's end this emotional week with a win!

ReplyDeleteTweaked the thread for game day (scroll down).
ReplyDeleteXmas partied yesterday (made some Amaretto-flavoured Xmas shortbread cookies).
No Xmas party tonight but one tomorrow (annual neighbourhood at my next door neighbour's, which doesn't mean that I haven't found my way home in the past). BYOB. Oh look Hungaria Brut!
Tonight its shepherd's pie (I like mine with lots of creamed corn and a touch of cinnamon) and some Blondes. Leftover cookies for dipping in Amaretto-flavoured milk.
Also, too, the gal in the striped dress (in the header pic) is the future Mme. Vodkov. I snuck in and placed the virtual Habs fridge magnet.
ReplyDeleteGood for Vodkov! Love the guy, but lets face it - he ain't too pretty. Looks more like Mr Bean than Mr Bond. But he's a beauty on the ice and that's what counts.
DeleteGYMFHG!!!
helllooooo
DeleteThe beautiful blonde betwixt Bale and the King (pictured with the recently departed Mary Ann Mobley, may she R.I.P.) is Mme. Eller.
ReplyDeletemclame, dipshit leaf shill sans pareil; http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/ron-maclean-babcock-watching-leafs-carefully/
ReplyDeleteToo much! This interview includes gems like "I think you could look at Babcock watching Kessel and Phaneuf, the two lynchpins of the Toronto team..." AND "He’s in a good spot. It’s not about money. It’s about him wanting that challenge of a dynasty (with the) Toronto Maple Leafs." And best of all “I think he’s probably watching Toronto as carefully as anything, not his own team, but Toronto, to decide if he wants to come here.”
DeleteWTF is wrong with these people. So he's now started watching the wretched leaf rather than his own team? Must be hard to ignore with such a good seat behind the bench of every game. Kessel/Phaneuf=linchpins. Ok...
Jayzus!
mclame, like all mediots, is the perfect blend of CotU arrogance and ignorance, Sick fuck.
DeleteSutter says they have a young blue line, we're the opposite of your team.
ReplyDeleteouch
our blue line goes to shoppers on Wendesdays to get the seniors discount.
Delete@moeman today i was in the SAQ and there was a coupon for a discount on di Saronno. I of course bought a bottle, because I am a Jew and thus cannot resist a discount. I need some di Saronno cocktail recipes. I do enjoy it on the rocks with a twist, or mixed with Coke which is good, or a splash in a cup of tea late at night, but I am sure you've got something good for me
ReplyDeleteTalk about a di (short form!) CHallenge!
Delete- recently discovered that di is great in milk, both white and chocolate
- when I make pancakes/crepes, I warm up the maple syrup with a big splash of di
- when I make flavoured butter for the aforementioned cakeS!
- ¾ Brut, ¼ di
- a splish in a mojito
- a splash in a negroni
- pour di on a significant other (you can buy cheap shower curtains at the dollar store, if you are at an all-you-can eat/drink resort, mess up their sheets and watch how the chambermaids give you a wink)
- when I make an Apple pie, substitute some of the sugar with di
- ½ cran juice, ¼ di, ¼ SanPel or Perrier, lemon wedge
- I love my Bodum coffee press and it loves a bit of di (weekends only)
- tiramoesu ; )
- I don't like my di cold unless there's some citrus or tropical juice, replace Southern Comfort + pineapple juice with di, crushed ice
Delete- very good with a splash of rum
- off topic but whilst at sanguccio's ( http://sanguiccio.ca ) for a belated Bday lunch I had, for the first time, some Vecchio Romagna as a post lunch toast, nicely smooth https://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/P-8439.aspx
- whilst still here, I love keeping Perrier and naturally flavoured versions of lemon or lime on hand to 'water down' a drink or simply to add a bubbly/citrusy splash
Delete29 - take a shot glass and fill it 2 thirds with Jack, then top it witj Di Saronna - that's a "Smokey Mountain Coon Caller" - down in one buddy!
Deletehellooooo, thx! my weekend looks good now!
Delete+1 for tiramoesu
oooh Kmaxxx thx you too! that sounds delish!
Delete"I always obviously want to outplay the opposing team's best defenseman. I think (Thursday) I did it for sure, (Friday is) going to be a tough challenge," Doughty said via NHL.com's Sean Farrell.
ReplyDelete"P.K.'s a good player; I'm going to have to outplay him if we want to win the game."
Despite being one of the game's most decorated players at 25, Doughty has only been recognized as a top-three defenseman once in his seven-year career.
Great, what a time for PFK to be under the weather.
My daughter's pug Marcel made the Balloon Juice Pets of 2015 Calendar! He's in the January section in his pug luggage !

Deleteadorable!
DeleteI just looked at the schedule, and it appears that the Habs don't play again until Tuesday after tonight. The fuck?
ReplyDeleteExtra long weekend at home. Might see some interesting outcome in 9 months, or so.
DeleteThe pitter-patter of little Habbies.
DeleteLet's hope Vodkov's kid looks like the Mrs!
DeleteDinner thread!
ReplyDeleteHomemade pizza and St Ambroise. and di. but not in that order
Shepherds pie and Claire: http://alchimiste.ca/en/#
DeleteCouldn't decide, just grab something later.
DeleteCHarger plays his 400th tonight.
ReplyDeleteAndrighetto needs a nick.
ReplyDelete'Gruy'?
?
DeleteAs in Gruyere.
Deleteisn't it just Ghetto?
DeleteOr NotDDD.
Swelvis? (Swedish Elvis...in the ghetto)
Explain Gruy...maybe I'll vote for that.
Anyway gotta watch the game on delay, so catch up later.
As in Gruyere, cuz he's Swiss.

ReplyDeleteCASH IT PLEASE
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteJust to comment on that disgusting SN article with McLame, it's pretty sick. The piece of crap who has accomplished nothing in his professional life is implying that Babcock is being unprofessional and isn't doing his job in Detroit. Guess what you fuck, he's got his team at the top of the NHL, much higher than your beloved leaf. Whatever Babcock decides to do next year, there's no doubt he's completely focused on the Wings this year. He's not eyeing anyone else, especially a division rival (if you can call the leaf that). Stop trying to tarnish the reputation of someone much more successful and professional than you. Sick fucks.
ReplyDeleteWell said.
DeleteWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
ReplyDeletePFK!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletethat was quick
Yeah!!!
ReplyDeletePFK?!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Cakes.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like baby cakes.
Deletedeflected by a King i think. I'll take it

ReplyDeleteThrow it towards the net and score. Funny how that works. HA HA HA!
ReplyDeleteHA.
Yup cakeS get the PP goal.
ReplyDeletePAP high-stick.
ReplyDeleteKill it.
Beliveau's first ghostly gesture!
ReplyDeleteMuzzin will never make the Dodgers
ReplyDeleteThat LA pass was Habs-ian. All alone in front, passes it off to no one in particular.
ReplyDeleteTFS!
ReplyDeleteOne of the things noted from Tuesday's game was the Habs played no songs/tunes during breaks/goals/etc.
ReplyDeleteI heard that MMe Beliveau would be at the game tonight.
DeleteBe home in time for the second! First game I'll get to watch in weeks! GYFHG!!!
ReplyDeleteiRi !!!!!!!!
DeleteWeeeeee!!!
DeleteGaborik should get a penalty ffs, PAP's got it in the face.
ReplyDeleteNo call????? Seriously?????
ReplyDeleteWhen yelling at the ref scream Fuck me! and not Fuck you!
ReplyDeletebut
Fuck you! ref!
How can all 4 officials miss that? The puck was right there! They were having a face off!
ReplyDeleteGood a PP.
ReplyDeleteClose call but hey fuck you ref!
ReplyDeleteAmazing. Thought cakeS was going to get called for being too fast.
ReplyDeleteWas waiting for a Cloddish embellishment hack call.
DeleteNew acronym:
ReplyDeleteFYR!
Fuck You Ref!
LOLZ, another defensive zone faceoff with a second left and MT has DD out there again. History almost repeats itself as LA gets a quick shot on net. He really is one stubborn son of a bitch, isn't he?
ReplyDeleteDon't think they could make the line change and DDD also lost the previous O-zone face-off. He is seriously struggling.
DeleteThat ppg only took 4 seconds. I'd love to see that again.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Crosby spent too long in the Refs room
ReplyDeleteSomeone said he looked like Quagmire. lol
DeleteJohn Lu @JohnLuTSNMtl · 43 mins 43 minutes ago
ReplyDeleteMrs. Élise Béliveau is now sitting in the seat at the Bell Centre formerly occupied by Jean Béliveau.
The francophone analysts are now saying that DDD's 'reign' has come to an end. Yesterday Flynn even said there would be no market for him.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!
Go cash it, boys.
ReplyDeleteYeah!
ReplyDeleteVodkov!!!
ReplyDeleteVodkov!
ReplyDeleteTwo PPGs? Be still my beating heart!
ReplyDeleteAnd DDD was on the PP
DeleteYup and PAP.
DeleteIf they keep that up the refs will stop calling 'em.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat s/b icing.
ReplyDeletePFK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteTFS!
ReplyDeleteTFS!
ReplyDeleteKill it.
ReplyDeleteYet another uncalled high stick by LA.
ReplyDeleteYet they PAP for holding?
DeleteFYR!!!
ReplyDeleteHow is that offside? This fucking league...
ReplyDeleteOh wait, it's a penalty. Of course.
DeleteKill it.
ReplyDeleteTFS!
ReplyDeleteShut the OLE up!
ReplyDeleteThis kill was sponsored by TFS!
ReplyDeleteGreat PK !
ReplyDeleteJesus Price!
ReplyDeleteFuck you and your brother williams!
ReplyDeleteDid Williams crash TFS? waiting for the replay.
ReplyDeleteHey, Kreider II, fuck off!
ReplyDeleteKill it.
ReplyDeleteSo apparently there's talk of a MTL v BOS outdoor game at Fenway next year. If that were to happen, it'd be the 3rd road outdoor game for the Habs. Is there no appropriate host in Montreal? Olympic Stadium? Moslon Stadium? The rink outside the school on Casgrain at Fairmount I used to play on?
ReplyDeletefuck butman.
DeleteThe Habs vs. EDM will go down as the best of the outdoor games. Instant classic.
DeletePP's 5 LA, 3 Habs.
ReplyDeleteA snow removal truck has been parked outside my door since the game began, I think he's parked to watCH it.
ReplyDeleteYour door or the game? ; )
DeleteThe game, silly. If he had spirits I'd invite him in.
DeleteNext episode of 24CH will be a good one.
ReplyDeleteYeah, saw that, PVR is already set for the series.
DeleteI still have some episodes from last season, like TFS & PFK making SoCHi.
Deletewilliams was going straight for TFS and N8 bumped him just enough. Not as dirty as his brother who took Saku's eye out (not penalized as blood poured from his socket).
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!
Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!
SN is airing a very nice piece on Manny.
ReplyDelete33 shots & counting for the Kings...
ReplyDeleteWOMP
ReplyDeletecrap
ReplyDeletedamn it.
ReplyDeleteVodkov was shaking his head on that one, bounced off him.
ReplyDeleteReally thought Price was working a SO.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf there's any doubt that the officials call all the close ones against the Habs look at those two plays. Almost identical at both ends. No icing for Kings, icing for Habs. Almost the exact same play.
ReplyDeleteFirst goal now awarded to Cakes, PFK gets the assist.
ReplyDeleteDDD FFS!!!
ReplyDeleteDDD?
ReplyDeleteWell, well, well
ReplyDeleteNice
DeleteSeriously, do the Kings have magnets on their sticks?
ReplyDeleteDD!
ReplyDeleteLook at that, take him off the 1st line and he scores his first 5on5 goal in 53 games. It's almost like he was miscast on the 1st line.
ReplyDeleteouCH
ReplyDeleteAh shit, anybody but Doughty, heard he said he wanted to score on TFS.
ReplyDeletefuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
ReplyDeleteMethinks wings will be necessary to put this one away...
ReplyDeleteThere ya go!
DeleteGruy!
ReplyDeleteGhetto!!!!
ReplyDeleteGruyere?!!
ReplyDeleteGHETTO!
ReplyDeleteNice play by the kids. Ghetto is a point per game player!
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's getting hard to see what will happen when Lego gets back.
ReplyDeleteShut the OLE up.
ReplyDeleteCakes!!!
ReplyDeletecakeS!!!!
ReplyDeleteCakes!!!
ReplyDeleteCompletely outjocked their #8
ReplyDeleteOh my god!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe future's so bright, I gotta wear shades!
ReplyDeleteThat's a fucking ridiculous call on the offside.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or does the Kings' logo up at the score look like an email icon?
ReplyDeleteYipppppykayaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
ReplyDeleteFuck you Doughty.
ReplyDeleteHow does Doughty get a star above Cakes?
ReplyDeleteHow ya like PFK now Doughty? You too Richards.
ReplyDeleteSo
ReplyDeleteClose
ReplyDeleteTo
ReplyDeleteFLO beats DET in the shootout. Habs 1 point behind them now (with a game in hand, TB 2 pts ahead of Habs).
ReplyDeleteCream!
ReplyDeleteThere ya go!
DeleteHabs are now 11-0-0 when they score the first goal.
ReplyDeleteThe Habs came out, started well and they're still critisised for the amount of shots. They played the Stanley Cup champ, give them kudos.
ReplyDeleteThe kids were hot tonight.
ReplyDeleteWow some reporter just ask MT "nice 2 get points but how does a coach like you feel when his team is so dominated by a team who is on the 2nd of a b2b"?
ReplyDeleteMT "Well, first of all I don't like your question. results are important and we take things 1 game at a time, we also played some games and come out with a win. We stayed positive tonight and we played against the SC champs. TFS was solid and you have to also give him credit.
