I know there is no Sports only a business. A famous commentator once said there is nothing better than to be a rich man in your own homeland. In my eyes Kovalchuck was a patriot. Welcome back to Montreal Saku, you were pretty much all we had to cheer for during some dark times in Habs history, although there was a couple times you managed to slay the fucking broons in the playoffs.
Moey will be shedding a few tears tonight.
I'm going to miss this one as I don't get City Montreal. Fuck you Gary and Rogers.
For us of a certain age, Saku is really our big Habs Hero. I didn't get to see the Dynasties of the 70s or 60s or 50s. Although I know the Habs won the Cup on my birthday in 1986, I was barely in grade school at the time so I have no real recollection of it happening (I was just happy, remember a celebration bigger than my normal birthday). I do remember 1993 vividly, but shortly after that the Habs went into a dark place. Frankly, in my teenage years I didn't follow the team much (I was also just working, going to school and generally out of the house most of the time, and this was before internet or digital or smartphones of course). But Saku sparked my interest again and I moved to Montreal for school the same time he was named captain and I got very into the Habs again. I remember his return from cancer. I remember his unrequested eye surgery at center ice by a Cane player in front of a ref that went uncalled and changed the series (fuck off Cam Ward, it wasn't you). I remember Saku scoring the winning goal in the shootout in the greatest Habs comeback in history. I really wanted him to win the Cup in Anaheim, but at least I got to see him snag a few Olympic medals with his teammate and also class act Teemu.
Fuck Dreger. He was asked about Neal being fined for diving and he said last night he 'joked' on tv that he thought Montreal would have been tagged first. He said the media 'jokes' about it but there it is definitely known that a few Habs players are divers. Can you say Kadri?
For reasons I can not explain the Saku years are mostly blank to me. I have his rookie card. From my undisclosed location I followed Canadians disaster mangement closely enough to identify he was a Captian of the greatest ship in sports worthy of the position. Not to be bitter but we brought in the Mexicant as a replacement. I believe Gainey was the ultimate patriot. He had to destory the team to save it. His bold actions gave us gCHuck. A true leader has a long term horizen.
I will now tell you a secrect that makes my commentary very biased. I am half Finnish. I am proud of my genes. In any evaluation of humanity Finland comes out top ten. That includes funtioning crazy people.
Merci Saku! I will be watching tonight and I do hope that they retire his number. It would be deserved. It would mess KidG up but there are other numbers out there that he could make his own. Besides, having a different number might keep the refs off his back for a game or two as well!!
For obvious reasons I dropped in a pic of the smiling gCHuk and was smiling reading about how his four one-ice teammates avoided him for fun effect on his hat-trick goal. Camaraderie.
Just for fun I wore my nice Reebok Habs jacket whilst out and about this morning. Confronted by one broons fan and a couple of leafers. While I was paying for my gas the nice man at the cash said: "I see you're a leaf fan." to which I immediately replied: "If I was a leaf fan I probably would have shot myself a couple of decades ago." No response.
I'm off to the Sea Dogs game tonight since the Habs are unavailable to me. Have fun and.........G Y F H G!!!!!!!!!!

Regarding Dredgers comments about his surpise the Habs haven't been fined for embellishment. At a staff meeting, a coworker was commisurating (sp?) about somebody calling her out and telling her she's a terrible person on the phone. My boss ( a couple years my senior, turning 48 or so soon) says "Well, it's like the song says, "And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate... Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake. I shake it off, I shake it off"

You can be certain that our grandfather, had he been with us today, wouldn’t have addressed all of you without first expressing his deepest gratitude for the many heartwarming tributes that were shared over the past few days. We would like to take this moment, first and foremost, to say a special thanks to all of you.
Thank you to all his fans for their passion and kindness. He respected all of you unconditionally. Thank you to all of the doctors who treated him over all these years: Dr. Douglas Kinnear, Dr. David Mulder, Dr. Maurice Godin, Dr. Michael Churchill-Smith, Dr. Robert Côté and Dr. Pierre Lanouette. You were a source of infinite support for our family, and you have his most sincere admiration. A big thank you to the members of the nursing staff who watched over our grandfather with gentleness and care until his last day. Thank you to the Montreal Canadiens organization, the Molson family, and every person who worked so hard to present such memorable tribute ceremonies. We also wish to thank Suzanne Pelletier and the staff at the Urgel Bourgie funeral complex in Longueuil, who took care of him with compassion and dedication, even after his death.
Our grandfather’s family, former teammates and friends all had a chance, like us, to prepare for his departure and to come and personally say goodbye to him. Despite the pain and tears, it is possible to see the beauty that emerged from your time shared with him. We know that he was profoundly moved by this.
The values that have long been attributed to our grandfather — humility, generosity and altruism — were as present within our family as they were on the outside. We were also fortunate to discover other qualities, including his sense of curiosity, his benevolence, his patience and sense of humour. We can definitely confirm that his integrity was deeply ingrained in him. Our grandfather always backed up his words with action.
Through our pain, we face each new day recognizing that, in death, there is deliverance. Many of you have expressed the desire that he rest in peace. In these difficult days, it is what we all wish for him.
On behalf of our grandmother, Élise, our mother, Hélène, our spouses, Robert, Vincent and Mathieu, we say thank you, and our family shall forever remain thankful.
Mylène and Magalie, Jean Béliveau’s granddaughters
“See, the way hockey is, you’re supposed to carry yourself a certain way, and behave a certain way,” Maria Subban told me. “It’s kind of like the military, and partly like being the Queen.”
She continued, “P.K. is a fun person, and he smiles, and all the guys, they hate it when he smiles on the ice, because hockey players are not supposed to smile on the ice. This is a fun game. You can have fun and still win. And this is the difference between him and Sidney Crosby. Sidney Crosby is a serious guy. He has to put on his hockey face. He has to carry that around with him all the time. But P.K. doesn’t carry anything. ‘This is me. This is the way I am. Put me on the ice!’ ”
Wanted to make duck a l'orange tonight, for the ducks game, but I got too busy cleaning out my laundry/ junkpile room. It's going to have to be chicken breast, and I can still whip up a simple orange sauce. Accompanied by leftover wild rice and Stella
I was out Christmas shopping with the kids so stopped for KFC - went for a zinger! Now it's a nice cold Stella Artois or three. Go Habs go! Go Habs go!, Go habs go!
I went to Costco last night for the first time in years. You know you can get a 1.5 L jug of Rum for $17 here? Also got lots of salami and a block of pepper jack. My Christmas shopping is done.
I have "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" all ready for the 3rd graders, the extra computer is on gamecenterlive (they better show the ceremony!). I better not tear up in front of the kids. Never show weakness, even if it is the end of the school year.
the leaf going for their longest win streak in a decade. Seven! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Seriously, what a terrible organization. Judging by my leaf fan friends on facebook (illiteration!) they've basically won the Cup.
Canes score. leaf PP coming up, probably. Apparently, when the Canes score 3+ goals you can get a free large pizza at some place down there. Keep those expectations low!
So I'm watCHing the 'SISU' RDS Saku Koivu special episode. It is well done. What courage!
One thing struck me whilst paying attention and there's a moment when Saku came back and was CHeered loudly and longly by the Habs fans. A teammate mentioned to the on-ice refs to let the ovation continue. You can see Saku talking to one of the refs and of course the greatest hockey fans in the world poured on the emotion and love for their/our player.
So, it gets me thinking, what with these glorious pre-game ceremonies, especially the most recent one for Mr. Beliveau, that all these refs that have had the privilege to enjoy these momentous events of pure hockey appreciation, admiration and love for the game, the player and the team that is the Montreal Canadiens, how some of them can, now, be so disdainful and dare I say less caring, less honest in their work for the game. Mediots can hype their CotU perennial loser. Refs can be biased and look the other way but at the end of the day and as mentioned so many times, we are fucking proud to be Habs fans. To CHeer loudly the stupendous plays, the cannodading shots, the spectacular spinoramas and the spine-tingling saviour-like saves. We are sometimes even louder when we see the bad side of the shitty refereeing and the un-called for animalistic play of the charas and lucics.
No one and nothing is perfect but respect is earned and deserved. Saku has earned and deserved his. The Montreal Canadiens even more so. GYFHG!
I remember that night Saku came back so clearly. I was studying for finals with my roommate and started crying in front of him. He, being a Minnesota boy and hockey fan, never drew attenttion to it or brought it up later. We just sat in silence watching that ovation.
I'm not able to listen, I just watched and that was enough to sucker punch me. Had to switch it off when the next class came in. I'll watch it (again and again, like moey) later today, and then tonight at home with some beverages.
No mention of the ceremony on TSN. Instead the headline is "Lowly Hurricanes Lead Red Hot leafs" with a picture of the leaf celebrating a goal (they haven't scored one).
I do not have near the amount of class of Saku, so I'll just say, Sick Fucks.
Knowing that our own 29 sometimes crosses paths with Dr, Mulder, I'd ask on behalf of all FHFers, that should he see him that he thank him for all he has done for our Habs.
Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!
Just for the hell of it, thought I'd check RDS and apparently it's one of those unadvertised free previews and I got the game! Missed the ceremony and first 15 minutes, but hey I'll get to watch the rest. C'mon boys, do it for Saku!
And GO TITANS! My rookie year as a Fantasy Football manager and I'm in the finals! Beat a bunch of guys that care more and know a hell of a lot more than me about football, which makes the trash talking I do extra special! Anyway got the Titans D tonight up against the 2-12 Jags. Two sacks so far...off to a good start to the weekend.
Now back to regular scheduled commenting. Lets get it going boys...getting some opportunities. Cash one!
Good Luck Saint Paddy. Same thing happened to me my first year. My son's league needed another manager, and I wanted nothing to do with it. I won the first 2 years lol and now I'm hooked
Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!
So the leaf weren't able to get their decade best 7th straight win. Meanwhile, the Blue Jackets just had their 7 win streak snapped. No fanfare, no declarations of elitism.
See you fucking dumb refs, you can't do a make up call on a make up call. Worse, your make up call was actually a penalty, There is no illegal move here.
LOLZ, someone from head office obviously called Mike York during the break. Suddenly Patches was admiring his pass too long, so it's his fault he got hit from behind into the boards. That changed fast.
Canadiens Montréal @CanadiensMTL · 6 mins 6 minutes ago Max Pacioretty ne sera pas de retour au jeu ce soir (blessé) / Max Pacioretty will not return tonight (injured).
I'd love to know where 29 is tonight in my hour(s) of need. I fully expected to be crying on each other's shoulder whilst sharing a box of tissues and copious amounts of alcohol. *sigh*. Typical man.
Name another star player in the NHL that gets treated like PK does by the refs. Let's just call 'em like we see 'em. Racist pieces of crap. Sick of tippy toeing around it. Iggy would bow down his head and say "Yes sir", Anson Carter did the same, all other players of colour did the same. PK doesn't take their shit and the refs go after him for it. Good 'ol Ontario boys.
0.8 is deemed a late hit, this hit was 'timed' at 0.4 according to GAGnon he spoke to a ref who was there said if he was on the ice he wouldn't have called a penalty, Patches put himself in a vulnerable position.
I would be fine with no hearing if there was a call on the play. But the refs know they are not held accountable and the league will back them up 90% of the time by not even considering something that's not called on the ice. It's a crooked league, no wonder they'll be the first in Vegas. Goes hand in hand.
I know we talk about it all the time here, but TSN is a piece of shit. Only 30 people commented on the Habs game? Really? I know that's untrue for a fact because 2 of my comments (I like to test them every now and again) didn't go through. And they were boring comments like "I love Saku!" and ok fine, one bashing the refs. I know juce has the same issue. So how many posts from Habs fans do they block? Yet there are posts calling out PK and saying the leaf won easily against the Ducks.
Then you look at the leaf page. 90 comments. So when fans complain about the uneven coverage TSN points to things like this and says most fans follow the leaf. But it's only because of their manipulation.
Anyway, it might not seem like a big deal, but it's because of shit like this that the M can't watch a Habs game on a Thursday night and they don't talk about the Habs during intermissions on HNIC, because it's not just TSN doing this crap. Time and again polls across Canada show that the Habs are the most followed team but then these media outlets somehow show a radically different story.
I'm not saying it should be all Habs all the time, because it must suck to be out West and completely ignored and have your game times moved to the afternoon when the leaf are in town just so idiot leaf fans can see them in prime time. It's just infuriating that after the Patches hit Mike York was, albeit skeptically, saying that the hit was a bit late and dirty, and then when they came back from commercial suddenly he makes it a point to say with authority Patches was at fault for looking at his pass. Obviously a call came down from someone to change his tune.
I'm getting homesick with Christmas and I WANT TO SMOKE MORE THAN I WANT TO LIVE.
I have all kinds of issues with that leaf-loving site. Even the previous articles on Habs or leaf, the leaf had 100's of comments and habs were something like 50 or 80 and this is the next day not the night of a game where you think ok, maybe staff is minimal at night or something. Yesterday I got really pissed off because after I tried posting one comment to an idiot who always poses as a Habs fan, literally about 20 times during the day, it got posted and later they deleted it. Guy was saying something about gCHyuk's hattie being against a lessor team - the very same team they couldn't beat last night - it was nothing derogatory, I simply replied that your leaf would love to have this kid. Sick fucks. Everyday I tell myself, I'm not going to bother anymore and stupid is as stupid does, I find myself trying again and getting frustrated again. Finally, yesterday I cursed out the 'moderators' gave them a piece of my mind and told them no wonder rogers got the contract. (even though they're shit too).
Please, I beg you guys, stay away from that fucking site. Asshole leaf fans catering to asshole leaf fans. Don't give them the clicks, they get paid for it I'm sure.
I sure did love the anti-ref rants. Another bunch of anti-Hab assholes that have targeted them as a bunch of divers and will fuck them every chance they get. I've learned to accept it and refuse to let them frustrate me and put my blood pressure up.
I just gotta say all you DDD doubters this guy is an assest and all of you who where donw on him now look stupid. There is no doubt this guy is has a littel place to play on this team. CAN not igore the little guy is a point machine in the tailgunner seat,. I apozolutly apologize for every bad short joke I made about DDD. I was very shortsighted in that opinion,
I was sure I could rewatch Saku's ceremony since it was aired on gamecenter originally but I was wrong. I had to wait for it on youtube. I watched it without sound this morning and got...onion juice (juce?) in my eye. But then put it out of my mind until 2am tonight.
Screw all the the euphemisms, I seriously got emotional all over again. I know this might sound silly to some people, but to a certain generation Saku is our Beliveau. I said it above, us 20-30 somethings didn't have those dynasties. Even the 86 and 93 Cup winners only have Roy in common, who is divisive. Koivu was so much more than a hockey player.
It's only sports, but at the same he was going through his battle, I had family member dropping off from cancer and I recently had an aunt beat the fuck out of breast cancer. I'm no celebrity lover, but sometimes a community needs a rallying point. Saku is that for me. Fuck cancer. Go Saku. And not afraid to say as a grown man that makes me emotional. This team means so much more than winning and losing.
I know the M doesn't want us reading those sites and I stay away from TSN generally. Sportsnet however I generally at least can get my opinion posted on a story. But check out this quote from their Pacioretty story..."Early in the third period Stoner hit Pacioretty into the boards as he watched his pass to the point. The Canadiens’ leading scorer fell head first into the boards and had to be helped off the ice."
So Pacioretty fell into the boards after being hit. Guess that's why there's no penalty or hearing on the play. We're dumb not to realize these things.
Now that DDD is playing wing he should wear a yellow helmet, then along the boards he would be invisible, the first NHL steath winger. We need to change his name to F51
"While Subban is on, the #Habs have controlled 73% of shot attempts. While he's off, 33.3%." That's why he gets soft and bogus penalties aside of the bigotry of course.
BrianWilde @BWildeCTV · 35 mins 35 minutes ago Surprised in the end. Didn't think Habs were ready to make transition to Galchenyuk full time at C. Surprised equally it's DD who moves.
BrianWilde @BWildeCTV · 42 mins 42 minutes ago Desharnais moves to the wing. Therrien says he has a short term vision and a long term vision. Galchenyuk is the long term. #habs
MONTREAL – Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin, announced on Friday the signing of 2014 third round pick Brett Lernout to a three-year, entry level contract (2015-16 to 2017-18).
Lernout is leading the defenseman of his team with eight goals and 18 points in 34 games this season with WHL’s Swift Current Broncos. The 6’4’’ and 203 lbs defenseman was assessed 36 penalty minutes and ranks sixth on the Broncos with six powerplay goals.
A native of Winnipeg, Lernout has collected 43 points (17 goals and 26 assists) in 173 career games in junior since his WHL debut in 2011-12 with the Saskatoon Blades. He totals 187 penalty minutes.
For once Lego is not treated like the second fiddle as he has been by MT for his chou-chou. I wonder if DGMB had anything to do with it because I don't understand the complete about-face by the coach. We'll see how it works out.
As far as going to the tsn/snet/cotu newspapers, feel free to do so. Sometimes, and it's rare, you might, might get an article about the Habs or one of their players that is not pure shit. Actually, now that I think about it, about the only time I watch tsn now is for a football game or nascar. I've boycotted That's leaf for months now or their "Insiders" segment which usually starts with: The Toronto Maple Leafs....
I think what frustrates juce and Orangeman are the idiot, braindead leafools who frequent the comments section and derive their daily pleasure of trashing PK, Price or whoever or the Habs in general. Those are the ones to ignore, don't feed the trolls so to speak.
Anyway, I'm glad Patches is not hurt too bad, I have him in all 3 of my hockey pools and Zach Fucale will get another shot at a Memorial Cup as Quebec is hosting this year. They better win because they've sold their souls for the next 4 years or so in draft picks to take a run.
"After an internal review of Clayton Stoner’s hit on Max Pacioretty, the Player Safety Committee announced this morning that no subsequent action will be taken against the Ducks player. Even though there appeared to be no malice on the part of Stoner, it is my opinion that a formal hearing should have been convened based on the illegal cross-check which caused Pacioretty to launch face-first into the glass and resulted in injury. At the very least, Stoner should have been be fined for the careless act that warranted a cross-checking major and game misconduct in the game."
What troubles me most about this illegal hit was the fact that Stoner initiated contact with his stick in a prone cross-check position and fully extended his arms. Stoner’s cross-check shove remained connected to Pacioretty’s back right through and including the point when the Montreal player’s face contacted the glass. This action created significant velocity with which Pacioretty was launched into the side boards in a spine-bending crash." Fraser
Well done sir! As always.

On behalf of our grandmother, Élise, our mother, Hélène, our spouses, Robert, Vincent and Mathieu, we say thank you, and our family shall forever remain thankful.

“See, the way hockey is, you’re supposed to carry yourself a certain way, and behave a certain way,” Maria Subban told me. “It’s kind of like the military, and partly like being the Queen.”
ReplyDeleteShe continued, “P.K. is a fun person, and he smiles, and all the guys, they hate it when he smiles on the ice, because hockey players are not supposed to smile on the ice.

ReplyDeleteThursday night burgers and beer. In honour of Saku I am doubling the CHeese and bacon! Dark CHocolates with pistaCHios.
ReplyDeleteI was out Christmas shopping with the kids so stopped for KFC - went for a zinger! Now it's a nice cold Stella Artois or three. Go Habs go! Go Habs go!, Go habs go!
DeleteI went to Costco last night for the first time in years. You know you can get a 1.5 L jug of Rum for $17 here? Also got lots of salami and a block of pepper jack. My Christmas shopping is done.
DeletePate, cretons, assortment of CHeeses, mini pitas and crackers. Too busy today.
ReplyDeleteBox of tissues ✅
ReplyDeleteWine ✅
PVR set so I can watch it again and again ✅
And cry again and again.
Okay, I'm ready .
I have "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" all ready for the 3rd graders, the extra computer is on gamecenterlive (they better show the ceremony!). I better not tear up in front of the kids. Never show weakness, even if it is the end of the school year.
DeleteCleanses the soul.
Deletethe leaf going for their longest win streak in a decade. Seven! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Seriously, what a terrible organization. Judging by my leaf fan friends on facebook (illiteration!) they've basically won the Cup.
ReplyDeleteThe more they keep winning the better, makes the inevitable collapse much more delicious.
DeleteKate knows.
DeleteI just remembered, RBQ makes his return tonight. Oh god, he's going to get a hat trick, isn't he?
ReplyDeleteCanes outshooting the leaf 12-3 in the 1st.
ReplyDeleteCanes score. leaf PP coming up, probably. Apparently, when the Canes score 3+ goals you can get a free large pizza at some place down there. Keep those expectations low!
DeleteHaha, called it! Cane penalty immediately following puck drop.
DeleteSo I'm watCHing the 'SISU' RDS Saku Koivu special episode. It is well done. What courage!
ReplyDeleteOne thing struck me whilst paying attention and there's a moment when Saku came back and was CHeered loudly and longly by the Habs fans.
DeleteVery well said!
DeleteHang in there Moey!
ReplyDeleteSaku's speeCH was spectacular. 'Je t'aimes toujours Montréal!; Wow! That was like a winning goal.
ReplyDeleteEyes on the Prize has a nice pic of Saku with a very young Lego!
ReplyDeleteWhat a class act Koivu is.
ReplyDelete"I will forever in my heart be a Hab"
ReplyDelete+11
DeleteI'm not able to listen, I just watched and that was enough to sucker punch me. Had to switch it off when the next class came in. I'll watch it (again and again, like moey) later today, and then tonight at home with some beverages.
DeleteWhat an amazing tribute to a great Hab! Wow!
ReplyDeleteNo mention of the ceremony on TSN. Instead the headline is "Lowly Hurricanes Lead Red Hot leafs" with a picture of the leaf celebrating a goal (they haven't scored one).
ReplyDeleteI do not have near the amount of class of Saku, so I'll just say, Sick Fucks.
I fucking echo that.
DeleteThe only thing I wanted was to see him one last time in his Hab jersey. I can die happy.
ReplyDeleteHe looked FHFantastic!
DeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCanes leading 2-0 in the 2nd
ReplyDeleteWake up boys!
ReplyDeleteKnowing that our own 29 sometimes crosses paths with Dr, Mulder, I'd ask on behalf of all FHFers, that should he see him that he thank him for all he has done for our Habs.
ReplyDeleteIcing on a loong shift.
ReplyDeleteIcing on top of icing! Call a TO
ReplyDeleteTang wears 17, that must be it.

ReplyDeleteSo Prust is out there on the PP instead of gCHuck. Just noting that.
ReplyDeleteANA 9 shots, seems like it was a lot more with so much time in our zone.
ReplyDeletewow some beauty plays there, gCHyuk had a bad angle.
ReplyDeleteOur boys need to go have a little rest after all that icing and come back nice and refreshed, ready to go.
ReplyDeleteThey were finding their game towards the end of the period.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!

ReplyDelete(Y) gone to the room after being hit by jackman
ReplyDelete(Y) back
ReplyDeleteMT was rolling 3 lines and just let them back in now.
ReplyDeleteAnd GO TITANS!
ReplyDeleteNow back to regular scheduled commenting. Lets get it going boys...getting some opportunities. Cash one!
Good Luck Saint Paddy. Same thing happened to me my first year. My son's league needed another manager, and I wanted nothing to do with it. I won the first 2 years lol and now I'm hooked
DeleteThey're creating some good chances just not the puck luck to go with it but it'll come.

ReplyDeleteAnd my favourite scream during Hab games: HOW DID THAT NOT GO IN!
ReplyDeleteHi! My Sea Dogs lost. :(
ReplyDeleteG Y F H G!!!!! Win it for Saku!

ReplyDeleteCrap, kill it.
ReplyDeleteBogus call.
ReplyDeleteDIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
ReplyDeletePP Cash it!!
ReplyDeleteShit, Patches down, bashed right into the boards head first. NO FUCKING CALL, KidG goes to defend him.
ReplyDeleteAnother dirty hit on a Hab that goes uncalled.
ReplyDeleteSuch bullshit from this league sometimes. Bush league bullshit.
ReplyDeleteMike York made a good point. In this league, you get a penalty for raising your stick parallel to the ice but dangerous plays like this go unstopped.
DeleteMT told St Laurent the refs shld consult the puck was no lioger even in the zone when he made that hit on PatCHes.
ReplyDeleteCASH THE FUCKER
ReplyDeleteWhat can Boudreau possibly be complaining about with that penalty?! I'd love to know.
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteDAVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo DDD
ReplyDeleteDDD!
ReplyDeleteDale Weiss ties it!
ReplyDeleteMoey, are you watching last year's playoff games? ; )
DeleteCripes moe, are you watching it? Dale got the PP that led to the goal.
DeleteEAT IT YOU FUCKING DIRTY FOWLS!
ReplyDeleteNow that our Saku is retired, fuck the Ducks. Bunch of fucking bird brains.
DeleteMarkov has got to be one of the top cross seam passers in the league. Has been for some time.
ReplyDeleteYup. Hopefully N8 is learning.
DeleteI hope PatCHes is ok.
ReplyDeleteStill not worth losing Patches, but it makes it sting a bit less. Wouldn't mind seeing Stoner get what's coming to him.
ReplyDeleteBoudreau still talking to refs during the break about the penalty. STFU
ReplyDeleteBordeau's whining paid off.
ReplyDeleteso Boudreau complains and gets a call. fuck you refs.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteKill it.
ReplyDeleteSee you fucking dumb refs, you can't do a make up call on a make up call. Worse, your make up call was actually a penalty, There is no illegal move here.
ReplyDeleteLOLZ, someone from head office obviously called Mike York during the break. Suddenly Patches was admiring his pass too long, so it's his fault he got hit from behind into the boards. That changed fast.
ReplyDeleteFUCK
ReplyDeleteFuck. You dirty piece of shit refs. Fuck this league.
ReplyDeleteGood on Prusty! Should have been Weise though, closer to Stoner's weight class.
ReplyDeleteCHarger getting justice for PatCHes, who's still out.

ReplyDeleteI'd love to know where 29 is tonight in my hour(s) of need. I fully expected to be crying on each other's shoulder whilst sharing a box of tissues and copious amounts of alcohol. *sigh*. Typical man.
ReplyDeleteFuck you refs you bastards,.
ReplyDeleteThis fucking league
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteRefs 2, Habs 1.
ReplyDeleteFuck this league, that's it. The refs won this game for the Ducks. It's fucking ridiculous. Why bother.
ReplyDeleteThird Hab to get rubbed out of a game with a ref looking straight at him. Zero accountability.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that every time a Habs gets fucked by a scumbag it's always because they were 'admiring' their pass?
ReplyDeleteName another star player in the NHL that gets treated like PK does by the refs.
ReplyDelete'did you think that was a fair hit?" 'I didn't like the hit"
ReplyDelete'did the refs give you any reasoning as to why there was no call on the hit?" 'We'll leave that up to us"
'upper body injury, they sent him to the hospital as a precaution'
0.8 is deemed a late hit, this hit was 'timed' at 0.4 according to GAGnon he spoke to a ref who was there said if he was on the ice he wouldn't have called a penalty, Patches put himself in a vulnerable position.
ReplyDeleteRefspeak for Habs are on the list.
Put on your surprised faces: No hearing for Stoner according to Pierre LeBrunt.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it wasn't late but in the least it should have been a boarding call.
DeleteI would be fine with no hearing if there was a call on the play. But the refs know they are not held accountable and the league will back them up 90% of the time by not even considering something that's not called on the ice. It's a crooked league, no wonder they'll be the first in Vegas. Goes hand in hand.
DeleteI know we talk about it all the time here, but TSN is a piece of shit.
ReplyDeleteThen you look at the leaf page.
Bah Humbug!
Sick fucks.
DeleteEveryday I tell myself, I'm not going to bother anymore and stupid is as stupid does, I find myself trying again and getting frustrated again.
DeleteI sure did love the anti-ref rants.
ReplyDeleteI apozolutly apologize for every bad short joke I made about DDD. I was very shortsighted in that opinion,
MB, sell high.
Delete+51
DeleteJust love Brian Wilde's rant on the refs this morning, I hope they post it so you guys can hear it.
ReplyDeleteRandy Tieman actually had to tell him to stop talking....in a friendly way of course, they had to cut to commercials.
ReplyDeleteCanadiens assigned goaltender Dustin Tokarski (conditioning purposes - 2 games) and forward Eric Tangradi to Hamilton this morning.
ReplyDeleteI was sure I could rewatch Saku's ceremony since it was aired on gamecenter originally but I was wrong. I had to wait for it on youtube. I watched it without sound this morning and got...onion juice (juce?) in my eye. But then put it out of my mind until 2am tonight.
ReplyDeleteScrew all the the euphemisms, I seriously got emotional all over again.
But winning is much better than losing!
Go Habs Go!
Well said indeed, CHeers.
Deletefuck cancer
I know the M doesn't want us reading those sites and I stay away from TSN generally. Sportsnet however I generally at least can get my opinion posted on a story. But check out this quote from their Pacioretty story..."Early in the third period Stoner hit Pacioretty into the boards as he watched his pass to the point. The Canadiens’ leading scorer fell head first into the boards and had to be helped off the ice."
ReplyDeleteSo Pacioretty fell into the boards after being hit. Guess that's why there's no penalty or hearing on the play. We're dumb not to realize these things.
That's why PQuarl should not be leading the province of Qc.
DeleteMTsays PatCHes is day to day, not ruled out for Saturday. phew
ReplyDelete"We really hope this is going to work for David. If it does, it will be good for his career." - Michel Therrien on moving Desharnais to wing
ReplyDeleteMT says a forward and a goalie will be called up today.
ReplyDeletea goalie???
DeleteToker was sent down for conditioning, he'll play 2 games there this weekend.
DeleteNow that DDD is playing wing he should wear a yellow helmet, then along the boards he would be invisible, the first NHL steath winger. We need to change his name to F51
ReplyDelete"While Subban is on, the #Habs have controlled 73% of shot attempts. While he's off, 33.3%." That's why he gets soft and bogus penalties aside of the bigotry of course.
ReplyDeleteBrianWilde @BWildeCTV · 15 hrs 15 hours ago
ReplyDeleteAll in all, between Pacioretty injured and Subban with 2 rough calls, that one has an odour to it. #habs
Someone doesn't like Subban. That's a rough penalty.
BrianWilde @BWildeCTV · 35 mins 35 minutes ago
ReplyDeleteSurprised in the end. Didn't think Habs were ready to make transition to Galchenyuk full time at C. Surprised equally it's DD who moves.
BrianWilde @BWildeCTV · 42 mins 42 minutes ago
Desharnais moves to the wing.
ReplyDeleteLernout is leading the defenseman of his team with eight goals and 18 points in 34 games this season with WHL’s Swift Current Broncos.
His nickname has to be Burnout
DeleteDavid Desharnais said the last time he played wing was on a line with Gionta and Gomez in the playoffs for like 4 or 5 shifts
ReplyDeletewas that as part of the cast of Wizard of OZ?
DeleteFucale was traded from Halifax to the Quebec Ramparts.
ReplyDeleteFor once Lego is not treated like the second fiddle as he has been by MT for his chou-chou. I wonder if DGMB had anything to do with it because I don't understand the complete about-face by the coach. We'll see how it works out.
ReplyDeleteAs far as going to the tsn/snet/cotu newspapers, feel free to do so.
ReplyDeleteI think what frustrates juce and Orangeman are the idiot, braindead leafools who frequent the comments section and derive their daily pleasure of trashing PK, Price or whoever or the Habs in general.
Cheers everyone!
ReplyDeleteWhat troubles me most about this illegal hit was the fact that Stoner initiated contact with his stick in a prone cross-check position and fully extended his arms. Stoner’s cross-check shove remained connected to Pacioretty’s back right through and including the point when the Montreal player’s face contacted the glass. This action created significant velocity with which Pacioretty was launched into the side boards in a spine-bending crash." Fraser
