  3. Inside dredger (emphasis mine);

"The Habs have faced adversity this season, but keep on finding ways to win and remain a top team in the Eastern Conference. A sagging power play has regained some spark and when healthy, Carey Price has performed at his usual elite standard.
Trying to nail general manager Marc Bergevin down on divulging internal secrets is a near futile exercise, but he talks to enough people around the league to surmise he's not satisfied with how his team looks. And if he can add a forward to strengthen his top two lines, he will. Bergevin is also believed to be looking for a defenceman - perhaps an upgrade to what's already considered a decent top five."

insidredger is a clueless rumour mongering hack.

    1. What fucking adversity have the Habs faced?

That mediate can't get into the DGMB funnel of info. because there isn't one, suggesting that he is an even bigger professional liar.

Caught some of That's leaf yesterday and they graded the Canadian teams. Habs got an A- (they still aren't sure about the team) and they gave their 'Canadian Stanley Cup best hope contender the Jets an A+. They say the Habs have to improve on last year to prove they are as good as their record. That would mean making the Finals. Sick fucks.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, they refuse to grade their leaf, seriously, because of the current uncertainty. Oilers got an F. Go fucking figure.

    2. the Maritimer3:55 PM

The Jets??? Hahahahahahahaha!!!! As if they could come out of the western conference.

Those unprofessional fucks will grasp at any straw to NOT give the Habs any credit. Their pettiness exceeds any known boundaries. I rarely watch that channel anymore. I didn't think tsn to stoop low enough to get below sportsnet for sheer leaf bullshit, guess I was wrong.

So they wouldn't grade their leaf eh, that's even funnier. Insidredger didn't want to insult his cousin-in-law nonis, he would lose his "source", which he will shortly anyway once Shamahan kicks him to the curb.

      Delete
    3. It was even funnier. They had 'O-dog' grade teams. That POS has zero cred unless he is sucking off a leaf. When the pinheads at snet got the NHL deal, tsn doubled down on leaf splooging for fear of losing their audience. It is serious a fucked up bunch of mediots.

This from somebody who on national TV gave a speech to the kids about when to run the goalie.
I'm sorry but the whole Toronto thing from baseball thru basketball, football and hockey is laughable.

  76. My name is Orangeman and I'm a Habsoholic.

No game tomorrow morning? What am I left to do on a Sunday morning? Brunch? Not in Korea. Church? Not with this restraining order Jesus put out against me.

But speaking about religion, I have converted a non-believer into the Church of PK. My very good American friend and I went out for drinks (Four $20 vodka bottles in Little Russia) tonight. He follows basketball and football and I follow hockey and baseball (to a much lesser extent). Neither of us know anything about the other's sports, but since we're friends we peruse TSN/ESPN before our meetings. Small sports-talk aside, we get into the fact that it's NHL All Star weekend.

He asks me who from my team is going. Price, he's heard the name before. But then I explain PK Subban. He is intrigued. Randomly, after this discussion, he asks how many black guys are in the AS game. I say I think 1 or 2. He's surprised. I bring up PK again. He's surprised that the amazing dude we were just talking about is black (just because he is from the Bronx and doesn't picture any hockey player as black). He gets much more interested when I tell him he's from Toronto, but plays for Montreal and that his brothers will play in the NHL, too, one even for Boston!

As a New Yawker he also hates Boston, as you do. He is familiar with the Habs Bruins hatred and fully on board with us. Then I give him PK's quote from last year (not exact), "I can't wait for the crowd, the noise, the energy. I can't wait to take all of that away from them."

Dude almost fell out of his seat. Immediate favourite sports quote ever. Picked up his phone and asked "P...K? What?" "Subban. S-U-B-B-A-N" Found him, liked him on every social media platform. Quoted him the rest of the night. I told him every other arena boos him the loudest. Just made my friend love him more. "Of course! I'd hate him too if he wasn't on my team! But he's on our team, so I LOVE him!"

    2. No question the best goalie in the NHL. PFK you can argue about, but a big game D man, who is better, Doughty maybe. The team is strong and tough to play against. Leaf talk is when they look at their players value and conclude that Riemer at $2.25 million a year is not a trade barrier. That Loophole is worth $5 million and Clarkson is not the worst Free Agent signing ever. We still have the second worse trade in Modern history on our side.

I agree Price is now #1 despite what the mediots say. Subban is top 5 and a game breaker although still capable of the occasional brain cramp. The Habs are capable of doing damage within eMTy's "system" but need a little more high end scoring.

The mexican't trade was bad, not Patrick Roy bad but still... or are you talking the Squid Trade? The optics were bad on that one.

Campbell expects the Montreal Canadiens to serve as the opponent for the outdoor showcase.

Toronto last held an All-Star Game in 2000, and has yet to host an outdoor game as part of the NHL's outdoor series, whether it be a Winter Classic or Stadium Series.

Rogers Centre, located a few blocks from the Air Canada Centre, features a retractable roof. You know, just in case it snows. Or gets cold.

You would think these morons would take into account the fact that NHL headquarters in New York, NY, it is run by Americans Bettman, Daley, Jacobs and Snider. The leaf have very little, if any, influence in how the league is run even if they like to think they do. All they do, like Montreal, is contribute an inordinate amount of revenue to league coffers.

The other funny (ironic) thing is the leaf named their training ice the Mastercard "center of excellence". What comes out of there is hardly excellent. It will be interesting the next few weeks to see if Shamahan has the balls to stand up to the Bell/Rogers two headed monster and do what has to be done.
