  4. Last time the Habs were on a 4 game road trip, played Chicago the night before and Dallas was their 4th game in 6 nights. I expect a different outcome this time around.

  8. Caught some of ginoragu's that's leaf show yesterday. First 7 minutes were all leaf consternation and such. Literally 40 seconds about the Habs. After more useless drivel, including wild leaf trade speculations from insidredger, they wrapped up. The final minute after commercial was spent reminding leafools that their team was playing Wednesday.

  9. There's lots of disgusting cockroaches at the snet/hnic merger of empty minds, what with bigoted morons, a limp cox, sad lame leafools and braindead as a rock pjstock but I think the worst is the slimiest of them all john shannon. This POS is the purest form of shill. This sick fuck will live happily on a tax-paid pension for putting his leaf on a pedestal. Many deserve a punch in the face but this waste of skin deserves worse. Fucking slime.

I assume when he worked for hnic he helped slide the leaf into to their position of prominence (dominance?) to the detriment of the Habs and other Canadian teams?

      Delete
    2. He is a big, sick, reason, why and how his leaf had a three decade run at Canadian hockey fans tv eyeballs. He is a piece of garbage.

    3. the Maritimer5:12 PM

Well then, the mediots are now paying the piper with snet/hnic/cbc being forced to watch (and televise) their shit team. Looks good on them.

  10. As I've said before, I'm grateful (so far) that I get to see the majority of Habs games on SN (even though it's SN) and don't need to spring for an extra cable package. Thought I'd check their broadcast schedule to see if the game is on and yep, it is. Thought I'd change the time zone so the times were Atlantic. Nope. Doesn't exist. Pacific/Mountain/Eastern. Weird.

So the sick, mediot, leaffool fucks got me to thinking. Though it's completely wrong, I get the Rogers owned guys fellating the leaf as they own them as well. But is TSN not owned by Bell? Rogers' major competitor? Would it not make sense for them to report anything but the leaf? Do they not know there are more fans across the country that hate that team that for some reason cheer for it? They could spend the next 11 years being the anti-leaf and come out waaaaay on top. I guess top down, these leaffools can't see past their own ineptitude.

    5. True...the studio would need to move...anywhere but tronna. I lived there for 6 months in '87 and still haven't got the stink off.

    6. I lived there from '85-'95 and hated almost every minute...except when I met the wife! I call my time there my "lost years"...

  11. Had a snow day today. Spent most of the day organizing my work e-mail...it was out of hand. Thought about starting a new series. I'm a huge Trekkie. I've seen it all...except Enterprise, because I've heard a few people really dis it. Any star trek nerds on that have watched the series? Is it worth my time?

Fellow Trekker stepping up to the plate....

Enterprise, yeah, probably not the best stories and nobody liked Scott Bakula as Captain Archer. I liked it. The first year was mostly set up, the second year led into the 3rd which was a year long adventure hunting some bad guys. I thought the 4th and last season was the best. A lot of time was spent explaining how the United Federation of Planets was established and showed the strained relationship between Earth and Vulcan.

You could actually skip season 3 and not miss a thing.

  25. @Saint Paddy and my fellow Trekkies/Trekkers,

I didn't get into Enterprise, but I have watched the two part episode they had called "Into a Mirror Darkly" which took place outside their universe. It's pretty much bizzarro Star Trek, which imagines Humanity never became peaceful, etc. I thought it was one of the finest Star Trek episodes ever produced.

I was immediately a Trekkie when the first episode of TNG came out. My aunt who was a huge Trekkie with the original was very happy and we'd watch it together when I was a kid. Due to various things, I never got a chance to watch DS9 on its first run, but I did finally sit down and watch the entire series about a year ago. Fantastic. Voyager was on every night at 11pm when I was in university so my roommate and I (a fellow Trekkie) would, uh, 'water the plant' after studying and watch every night. It obviously wasn't as strong as TNG or DS9, but I always found it enjoyable. TOS is so silly to me, but it did have some great episodes. And as I said, I could never get into Enterprise, but maybe I'll do it soon.

    Live long and prosper.

  26. Hmmm...Outshot by a wide margin, outhit, but the PP hit again. TOI numbers are a bit worrying until you see that Y got thrown out. 20 minutes for Gilbert is a lot - 5 minutes for Bournival isn't. But I need to watch the highlights to get more info. A win is a win and 2 points against Dallas will do very nicely thatnks.

    ReplyDelete
  27. 1. How the fuck was that intentional offside? PK stopped the puck less than a foot past the blue paint trying to keep it in.
    2. So you have a defensive zone faceoff with 2.7 seconds left. Do you maybe throw two centremen out in case your primary player gets tossed?
    3. But kudos to the Stars - hell of a set play. Almost did it again in the third when MM was cleanly beat.

    Carey Price. Wow.
SN gave 2nd star to Subban. Markov deserved it far more. He saved 2 or 3 goals alone. I see NHL.com gave the third to Markov.

Made it through the second period it was 3-2 Habs. Woke up this morning to hear the final score was 3-2 Habs, didn't miss a thing. I noticed moe was flying solo last night, good on him to keep the fire burning.

Anyone ever have an endoscopy? The camera into the tummy, I did it without any sedation, just a local at the back of the throat. Lasted about 4 minutes but it kicked the shit out of me. I felt like I had been drug through a knot hole. Feeling better today. Go Habs Go!

  36. The fun thing about the mediots is that because they think there is only one team, the other 29 teams will trade their quality prospects and picks for leaf garbage. According to them, collectively, 29 teams will be looking to pick up leaf garbage because leaf garbage is like gold and because the leaf is such a fucking gold mine.

  37. If it is true that the Yotes GM maloney said he wants 'the Canadian dollar to tank more because it helps useless teams like they have in Arizona', he should get a phone call from Geoff Molson to pick up his Habs-funded airline ticket to Montreal to get his face punched.

"Referee Tim Peel penalized Ovechkin with a double minor for roughing and holding, despite the fact the Ehrhoff initiated the hit.
The official was likely influenced by Ehrhoff's head landing on the ice, but the blue-liner was able to skate off under his own power.
It is the latest incident in a long history of questionable calls from Peel."

  45. The business in hockey is sport. I think its pretty well proven that the NBA calls games according to TV ratings. Could the same be said about the NHL? Does Comcast decide who plays the NHL final game? I think the NHL needs an urgent cleansing. A integrity enema administered to the Butt man!
