  1. I have stared at that goal line pic for a long time...The rule on scoring a goal reads as follows: A goal shall be scored when the puck shall have been put between the goal posts by the stick of a player of the attacking side, from in front and below the crossbar, and entirely across a red line the width of the diameter of the goal posts drawn on the ice from one goal post to the other with the goal frame in its proper position ... Now have a look at that picture again...the "drawing" of the goal line appears, at least to me, to be somewhat wider than that of the actual goal post that you see in the shot. If this is not the case, then you have a perspective issue which means that you need to move your head to look at the picture further from the right, which would definitely put the puck completely in the net. Call on the ice should have stood - we have a good goal...is what should have happened.

    1. we shoud have smart pucks. think of all the replay time that could be saved; and how easy it would be to win the cup if I as the inventer hack the puck.

    2. K3X, i don't think there was a call on the ice.

  2. I am joining the dont mess your head with hair you can not control chours. DDD and MT are a fact of life. In fact DDD did have a good game. My big hope is this is just a been several years of showcasing so he can be traded , a reverse Gomez deal.

I am going to abide by Moey's request of laying off MT2.0 and wee Davey. I already mentioned last night I was going to take the high road regarding the coach. As far as his fave player, yeah, there's no sense beating that dead horse any more. He is protected by heritage and no amount of complaining by fans will change that. Besides, we Habs fans could have a lot worse to complain about. Phat Phil, Dion Pylon, Wendel Clarkson to name just a few.

Reading some of the mediot papers this morning about their beloved money making machine is amusing.

    Go Habs Go!

P.S., if the Habs do miss the playoffs, all bets are off. OK Moey?

    1. It makes it very hard when you hear the coach post game say DDD was the reason they scored when he was asked directly about PFK. It just exacerbates the malaise fans have. Must be worse for the guys in the room.

  4. Hey the M, I was curious as I noticed tonight's game airs on TSN5 in the 'Sens Region'. We're good it would seem:

To access regional Senators games on TSN5, fans must live in the Sens' designated broadcast region as defined by the NHL, which includes Eastern Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada.

    GYMFHG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Toker in net tonight I assume?

It's available on Sportsnet East as well. Watching it on TSN5 you will get the Senators version of things. On Sportsnet, John Bartlett will put a bit of a Habs slant on things. Hopefully, Gary Gawlly will not be the Habs-basher on staff tonight.

      Go Toker Go!!

Mediots in full "blow-up" mode today regarding the leaf. Over to you Sham-a-han.

I wonder how many Sens fans there are in Quebec and Atlantic Canada? You could probably count them on one hand. There may have been a few more at one time but most of them would have bailed after 2007.

    3. I live across the river (almost 25 years) and I don't know a single Sens fans in the Outaouais.

    4. I can get Sportsnet East as an add on for Kodi, but I cant get it to run, bad script. I will figure it out.

  5. This is not a complelely orginal thought. But it is a very good explaination for our penalty troubles.
Ref sees a player fall down, ref sees a black guy nearby
    Its a penalty to PFK.

I find reading about the leaf these days a very interesting pastime.
It seams that even tho they continue to lose they are pleased.
It seams that they are losing better than ever. The defence is giving up 25 shots and four goals yet they feel that they are on the right track. Now we know where Sadam's minister of information ended up.
    Go Habs

I read that piece. The irony is Cox has been preaching patience for the last two years now it's time to get out the TNT and turn the leaf into the Oil. Fuck and yes bring it on. I'd love to laugh at ml$e and Sham-a-han for the next 4 or 5 years at least. You just know they'll fuck up any rebuild.

  8. Hey thanks the M. I didn't realize it was on SNE also. I gotta say, I was lukewarm at best on Jason York. After listening to Gary Gag me last night, I DREAM of having Jason York do the colour. Galley is reaching Healy levels of inaudibility (meaning i can't listen to him).

  16. 1) The reason I don't like that picture of the puck is because that's not the last still available. Bob's left leg, the one that swept the puck away, isn't even in that picture, so there was still a tenth or two of a second of it moving into the net. When it's that close, it matters. But in the end they won, so I wouldn't change a thing.

    2) I will never lay off MT because I refuse to allow others to praise him for the accomplishments of others. I still believe the team is doing well DESPITE him and probably could do better without him. I'm also concerned about the future of the team. DDD, on the other hand, I don't hate. It's not his fault. He just happens to be the most obvious of MT's stupid moves. I do think one of them needs to leave, though. It's the only way the right players will fill the right roles. Not that it would be an immediate fix, but it's obvious it can't happen with MT and DDD on the same team.

    3) Noticed talk about gas prices above. I don't care as I don't drive. However, I do care because a) it lowers airfares! and; b) It's sinking the Canadian dollar. My Korean won goes muuuuuuch further in Canada now. That student loan is almost gone! And I have this thing called a 'savings account' (hope I got that right, it's so new to me).

    4) I would never wish injury on another person. However, if someone's going to get injured there's always a good time for it to happen for the Habs. Rinne is out 3-4 weeks and the Habs play Nashville in 2 weeks. I mean, I wish Pikka all the best and a speedy recovery, of course.

    5) *looks at leafools freaking out* *cackles manically*

    6) GO HABS GO! Don't take your foot off the gas!

Truthfully, they don't deserve to win. Too many passengers tonight, letting Ottawa gain the offensive zone easily. gCHuk trying to do too much on his own, those fancy moves don't work on NHL players too often. I notice his wingers were DDD and PAP so...... We'll see if they have any legs in the 3rd.

  71. Thoughts:

    1) The loss is not a big surprise, but that 1st was hard to stomach. Have some dignity. Ottawa is non-entity.

    2) The Sens sure are a cheap little bastard team, eh? And they get away with a lot of it. Especially that piece of crap Bobby Ryan.

    3) Other teams are really targeting gCHuck, and someone needs to step up to protect him a bit more. Especially since the refs aren't calling anything. The guy can take only so many cheap head shots.

    4) Poor Toker. The guys just don't score when he's in net.

    5) I haven't seen a Habs game like this for a while, where they just seemed to be shorthanded the whole time. There were large stretches where I wouldn't see a white jersey on my screen. Never mind losing battles or winning races, they just weren't even there. One example, late in the 3rd: Habs dump it in. They don't go off for a change, but no one is in the zone to get it. Then no one is on the point to keep it in. And then no one is at their blue line to prevent a break. Like seriously, WHERE IS EVERYONE?! I'm not joking, I played it again and again and I can't find them.

    6) Glad the PP got fixed! Hahahahahah....hahaha...hah. ha....sigh....

    ReplyDelete
  72. Ok, broons. You can stop winning now. Isles play the night before they come to the Bell Centre. Hey, we'll get to see what it feels like to play a team on a back2back.
