  1. Another Back to Back - who makes this schedule up...?...Oh yea...never mind! So another game where the Habs were outhit, outshot but won despite it all is now in the books - Fuck you Mediots! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!

  2. More Mediot garbage:

"The Habs have expectations of being a contender, though they’ve been a mostly mediocre team leaning on a sensational goaltender."

"The Lightning have risen to be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference and while they’ve been able to withstand injuries on the blueline, allowing young defencemen to step up, adding some more experienced help on defence would be the right play for a bona fide contender."

"After last year’s run to the Cup Final, expectations are high for the Rangers and they can aim for another run this season, at least so long as goaltender Henrik Lundqvist can return to action. "

So it's fine for other teams to rely on their goalie but not the Habs.

Small minded and envious leafers at tsn promote Canadiens/BJs game with "Atlantic Division leading Canadiens..."

Guess they can't bring themselves to say Eastern Conference leading Canadiens...

I find myself more amused than angry at their obvious cheapshots nowadays.

NHL.com states that the east is wide open as there is no obvious cup contender .....
    WTF
Points up on all their favorite teams with games in hand.
Beating REAL teams like the blues with our Hamilton defense and all world goalie.
    But we're not a contender.
    I just shake my head.

  17. In other news, the inevitable happened today and I was robbed. That may be overstaying it a bit. Someone snatched my bag on the beach. They got a crossword book, Freakonomics, sun screen and about $20. Oh, and the key to my apartment. That's what really stung. Took all afternoon to get a locksmith to get me inside and then to make a new key. And of course I was charged the foreigner price. Not a big deal, especially with the horror stories you hear about some tourists here.

29 countries and this is the first time I had anything stolen (besides an umbrella at the Red Cross museum in Geneva and my flip flops in a hostel in Laos, but those were probably accidents. Still had to go to the airport barefoot, though). Now I get to spend the night thinking every creak is someone coming in my front door. If I go silent here, know that I have been murdered. Or my wifi went out. One of the two.

TIme to get drunk! GO HABS GO!

But it's all moot anyway, because the play, by definition, was with a high stick.

Funny how things change. The mediots were beside themselves when the leaf scored Clarkson, they were planning the parade. Now, two years later they are beside themselves because they thought the leaf were stuck with that contract forever. Also, they are welcoming a player whose career is probably over. What a bunch of truly sick depraved fuckers.

People complain about Lego, but he got 5 minutes less TOI. MT prefers certain players, and then the fans bitch when others don't produce. They're set up to fail. CakeS was set up to fail, or at least wasn't given this sort of opportunity to succeed.

Oh well, nice win! Good night FHFers.

  65. Horton, who will be 30 on May 29, has a contract very similar to Clarkson's, carrying a cap hit over $5 million through 2020. He has not skated in almost a year due to a nagging back injury but opted against surgery that would likely end his career.

"We would have been paying (Horton) $26 million the next five years to sit in the stands," said Kekalainen.

``The entire trade Horton-Clarkson hinges on Horton's contract being uninsured. If it was the Jackets wouldn't have to pay the full freight.`

Clark$on also had a NTC and NMC and had to agree - even he wanted out of the shit-hole - how bad is that?
