  2. As always, nice work with SF moe. Have you guys seen that supposed 'plus sized' model who made it into SI swimsuit issue this year? It's all over my facebook. Is that really plus size? In my day, that was called "Bootylicious". My day was 10 years ago.

Funny story, after the 2001 attacks I was in the McGill bookstore and they had a moment of silence for the victims. Although it was first week of classes and it was packed with kids with armfulls of books we all immediately stopped and bowed our heads. Except who ever was working the intercom neglected to turn off the radio, which was playing Bootylicious. It was a light moment in a very heavy time.

Related, with Missy Elliott at the Superbowl I've been listening to some of her tunes. Did you know she is the one who popularized the term, "Badunkadunkdunk". I guess we don't use that term much anymore, but in my day we did.

In sum, give me some of that badunkadunkdunk. Even white boys gotta shout.

  3. I was just watching some youtube vids when one was suggested to me being TSN's coverage of Vanek's trade to the Habs came up. I've never seen it, so I clicked. The obvious digs at Montreal aside (Garth Snow won this one! (when no details had come through yet), He's too tall to play for the Habs! HAHAHAHAHA....HAHA!).

Here's the best one, though. "This doesn't make them a Cup contender. Get them into the playoffs? Eeeeeeehhhhh..yeah. But it addresses some needs they have."

My memory from drinking too much isn't great (that's a lie, I have a ridiculous memory and can describe to you my birth. It was wet), but Montreal was already a pretty solid playoff team at that point. Yes, they went on a run for a month that got them to 100 points, but it would have taken a pretty big slump to put them out. They weren't too far behind this year's pace.

And then they got within 2 wins of the Finals. Without Price or Vanek (for all intents and purposes). Imagine if not only Price was in net, but Vanek was playing like Vanek had until that point?

So fine, even so called experts get it wrong sometimes, especially in sports. So why were these same guys saying the Habs would struggle for a playoff spot again this year? YOU WERE EASILY PROVEN WRONG LAST YEAR! Oh right, they hate Montreal. Just to reiterate: Even if the Habs went on a Toronto like collapse they would still be in a playoff position in a month (unless several teams went undefeated in that time).

Also, San Jose lost to Buffalo twice this year, and the Ducks have lost 2/3 to the Yotes. Shit happens in sports.

    GO HABS GO!

    1. 29 teams don't matter to the mediots. What with their team out of the playoffs (how fucking great is that!), they will ruin playoff coverage with nothing but what will their team do and once the Cup is won, no matter who, they will continue to incessantly talk about nothing else. Sick fucks.

    2. I wanted to respond to something you said in the last thread, moe, about class. Obviously the Habs have more than enough (after the Goat, trading Squid mid-game was embarrassing). On this site I'm terribly unclassy. I think most of us are, and we know it. I would never use these derogatory terms for these various groups in public. It's just fun to say it here. To me, class is knowing what's public and what's private. You can shit talk people over drinks with friends (or online), but in public you should always carry yourself like you're above it. That's not being a hypocrite. You can't love everyone. I don't care if a student talks shit about me to his friends. But the classroom is another world. I talk shit about my boss over drinks after work, but in meetings it's another world.

My point being we're just nobodies shit talking on some blog. When pros do it on national television it's a whole other thing. Have some respect, have some professionalism, have some class. That's what separates us from...Fox News.

I just want to chime in here and say: Orangeman, you are over-thinking things. This is a Habs blog and the only persons who get trashed here are the small minded Hab hating Toronto based mediots/bigots and they deserve it. The only other targets who come to mind are a certain ex-Hab GM and a couple of coaches. Maybe a vertically challenged player. Maybe some francophone analysts. Maybe...you know what I mean...

  9. Lundqvist is out a month. Wonder if the Rangers struggle the media tell us the team is terrible and depend on their goalie too much.

I just read, are you ready for this, That
Shanaban " intentionally created a motley front office in order to encourage debate "
Wow. The depth of the disaster that is anything leaf, including their mediots, knows no bounds.
I flip between feeling sorry for them and laughing out loud.
    Go Habs

  12. MT's comment on the PFK's embellishment finel - I don't agree with the calls, it's like the refs make judgement and I don't agree with the calls.
While it's true, is he defending PFK or lolworried he may end up paying a fine? lol
