  4. Hoping for a full and speedy recovery for Harrison Ford who crashed his vintage plane on a golf course. Naturall and luckily some doctors were golfing.

  5. "The “Goal of a Lifetime” contest is open to all men and women goaltenders (must be 18-years-old or older). All goaltenders are asked to submit their playing resume to FloridaPanthers.com/backupgoalie. After reviewing the resumes, a select group of goaltenders will participate in an on-ice try-out that will take place on Monday, March 16, at 4 p.m. at BB&T Center. Panthers Goaltending Coach Robb Tallas and select Panthers Alumni will oversee the try-outs.

Two finalists will be selected from the try-outs and will be invited to compete in a shootout that will feature Panthers Alumni during the first intermission of Florida’s game against Montreal on March 17. The goaltender with the best performance in the shootout will be selected as the Panthers’ back-up practice goalie."

    Should be interesting.

  6. Someone asked Fraser why Panik got fined for embellishment, here's a excerpt.

"On the other hand, Panik did display some spring in his step, including an accelerated twist through the air and a rather theatrical landing. Panik was already on the Hockey Ops diving radar screen after being issued a previous letter of warning. Once flagged, a player has to work hard at changing the “perception” that he goes down easy. A reputation for being a diver is not something a player can change overnight. P.K. Subban is just one example of a player in need of a ‘make-over’ in this department."

James Neal, Gustav Nyquits, Vencent Trochek, Cal Clutterbuck, Michal Neuvirth along with Subban have also received fines for embellishment, yet from the list he chose to name only ONE player from the list. Why is that? Because he is a Montreal Canadien or the only other thing which makes him stand out from the rest? What the fuck will they do not that DSiP! is now on the team? Mass confusion ahead.

    1. Weirdly I still give helmet hair some leeway and only because of 1993 and how he made an entire (leaf) Nation hate him.

He might have hated the Habs more than Tim and Chris combined.

  7. There's an article over at SN explaining how 1/2 of the top ten in this year's draft want to play for the leaf. I guess there's some logic in that you're pretty much guaranteed an NHL job right out of the chute no matter what. But really? What the hell is wrong with these so-called journalists? Another story about how Mackinnon felt 'snubbed' by Sid. Really? WTF is this? Teen angst hour or something? Bah. I know I shouldn't even read that shite.

OK Habbies back into form tomorrow night. Fuck the mediots.

    1. FWIW, he just said the leaf/mlse should do whatever it is legally and illegally capable of doing to get McDavid. Sick fuck.

LOL! I saw that too! What would Gary think?!?

Actually Jeff Blair, who was kidding I think, said the league should just give McDavid to the leaf, because they just should. Probably out of pity.

    3. Blair is harmless but shannon is one sick fuck.

    4. I had it on in the background on the iPhone. I find it hilarious to listen to these snet hacks (they claim being national) cry for their leaf. If the NHL had any legal balls they would tell these sick fucks they can't say this kind of shit. They are the top of the mediate food chain. Let that sink in. A sick fuck like shannon can spew that garbage on the NHL's prime network and nothings done.

Yeah, that's tampering isn't it? Doesn't Rogers Communications own 37.5% of the leaf?

HEY GARY AREN'T YOU A LAWYER? TELL THESE FOOLS TO STFU!!

    6. the M., I'm not sure if STFU is normal lawyer parlance (in front of a judge) but maybe 29 could shine some of his legal light on that.

    7. I hereby nominate STFU to be entered into the next Websters'.

One thing the panel on Prime Time Sports agreed on, the leaf could offer every draft pick they have this year and half their roster for McDavid and it wouldn't be enough. I think Garth Snow already tried that ploy for someone and I can't remember who. I'll have to look it up.

Garth Snow reportedly offered all his picks, one in every round, in 2012 for the 2nd overall pick (Columbus). The question is, was he after defenceman Ryan Murray or gCHuk? Thankfully, Howson turned him down.

In 1999, GM and head coach Mike Ditka of the New Orleans Saints, traded all his picks in 1999 and his first pick in 2000 to Washington so he could pick 1st overall and draft RB Ricky Williams. Remember that? Williams once took a leave of absence from the NFL so he could smoke pot and meditate.

    2. I recall the Ditka move but not Snow's (who has been a better GM than Nonuts but I like that Nonuts is as bad as he is and I will say here and now that 'Shanny' will be another in the long list of leaf duds). Also, too funny to see the season-winding-down mediots try to find corn in the leaf shit. Almost everyday is some kind of excuse-making mediate making excuses for his/her leaf.

Dave will be gone at season's end. I agree with the prediction that Shanahan will never see the end of his rebuild, see : Burke, Brian. The ml$e board will grow impatient by year 3, be wringing their collective hands by year 4 and send Shanny packing shortly after.
