You, who are on the road must have a code that you can live by.
And so become yourself because the past is just a good bye.
Teach your children well, their father's hell did slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams, the one they fix, the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.
And you, of the tender years can't know the fears that your elders grew by,
And so please help them with your youth, they seek the truth before they can die.
Teach your parents well, their children's hell will slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams, the one they fix,the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

Great words Moeman - no parody needed! Go Habs Go!!
ReplyDeleteYou said it K3X.
DeleteSometimes I just let the original words scroll.
Got me missing my daughter who is teaCHing in Mistissini. Looking forward to seeing her and my granddoggie at Goose Break.
DeleteNice one, moneman.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.habseyesontheprize.com/2015/3/23/8280653/max-pacioretty-mcdonalds-troll-bruins-fans-with-his-new-burger
ReplyDeleteWhether or not that's staged (it doesn't appear so), that is friggin' hilarious. Bruin 'fans' wouldn't recognize their own players walking down the street, except for maybe Frankenchara, Quasi, and Beaker due to their physical abnormalities.
DeleteDon't often eat at scuffy's, but that's one burger I'd try. Sounds awesome.
Funny
DeleteWoa
Go Habs
This was entertaining on so many levels
DeleteI'm laughing out loud and the cats are staring at me. *sigh* Another night of "listening" to the game. Poo,
DeleteGreat tribute to GM Gainey, who unfairly got trashed at the end of his tenure, and of course Carey Price who has proven to be not only a great athlete but an outstanding human being.
ReplyDeleteI knew Bob Gainey's heart was not in his job after the tragic loss of his daughter and I also believe it affected the whole team, how could it not to see one of the leaders in the organization suffer like that. Looks like Price will be Gainey's legacy and we should be thanking him for it.
Yup. Timmins in the Draft day pic is in the proverbial catbird seat!
DeleteFor ol' crotch;
ReplyDeleteCountries representing the HABS;
Canada – 13 players
USA – 6 players
Russia – 3 players
Czech Republic – 1 player
Sweden – 1 player
Denmark – 1 player
North America – 19 players
Europe – 6 players
Probably half of those Canadians are even from Ontario. Yep, I'm sure he'll be jumping on the bandwagon...not.
DeleteHead coach Michel Therrien confirms that Torrey Mitchell will be in the lineup tonight. Manny Malhotra will be a healthy scratch.
ReplyDeleteGood read; http://readonlymemory.vg/john-madden-hockey
ReplyDeleteGotta say, I was hoping for Kopitar at that draft. I wasn't really aware of who Carey Price was and was quite surprised when they took this goalie kid 5th overall. Good thing Timmins is in charge...not that there's anything wrong with Kopitar. Gainey may have made some mistakes (*cough Gomez cough), but he more than made up for it with stuff like this and the Rivet trade to bring Gorges and Patches in. And hey, the Habs (i think) have a Buffalo 2nd round pick in 2016 from the Gorges trade, which will be in the range of #31-35 so it's the gift that keeps on giving.
ReplyDeleteRegarding March Madness, I only signed up for the free SN version. Currently sitting tied at 5466th place! I have Kentucky over Gonzaga in my final, so that could still happen...though will mean nothing. I don't watch a lot of bball, but this tournament is always thoroughly entertaining.
ReplyDeleteTonight's refs: Marc Joannette (25), Dan O’Rourke (#9)
ReplyDeleteLooks like Buttman wants continuity sending one of the same refs Joanette to officiate like he did in the Sharks game.
Better watCH that 'embellishment", KidG.
Happy Birthday, PAPS, celebrate on the ice! GYMFHG!
ReplyDeleteI am not crying over the TFS video, it;s just dusty in here
ReplyDeleteI'm worried the Man must have done something to Steve.
ReplyDeleteI think Steve is now working for the Man.
Deletesteve is worried that the Man did something to steve
DeleteSteve said that he feared the Man and had to keep track of his tracks.
DeleteGO HABS GO!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNot a big bball fan but congrats to Steve, Nash for a great career and representing Canada well.
ReplyDeleteWhilst here, the SFU is saying he would've been bigger if he was from the CotU. STFU!
Those stupid fucks are always gasping for straws and trying to make everything about them and the cotu.
DeleteCrap the game starts at 8 PM eastern. I can't sty awake that long! I swear I did not know Tennessee is an hour behind. I started drinking too early
ReplyDelete*stAy awake. told you I started drinking too early
DeleteSet your clock back for tonight. (that is a hidden clause in the NAFTA agreement).
DeleteI find it disturbing that the SFU gets all fucking giddy at the thought of TFS™ getting interfered, aka kreidered, with during the playoffs. Its like they are collectively crossing the SFU fingers and toes and cocks that the game's best player gets knocked out. Have they ever been like this in regards to Crosby or Toews or Kopitar or Orr?
ReplyDeleteSweet SriraCHa CHicken wings and an average (gifted) Shiraz. Two, count them, Sips!
ReplyDeleteFajitas and Boreale
DeleteOne of my all time fave songs moe.

ReplyDeleteack so close
ReplyDeleteHas S-P done anything good since he got here?
ReplyDeletecakeS would have buried that!
DeleteLoser point for 100! Get that extra one boys!
ReplyDeleteDamn. gCHuk had a shot though. DSiP....oy. Ah well, we need him hitting people in the playoffs to wear guys down - that's important too.
ReplyDelete1st overall, get the extra point!
ReplyDeleteKILL IT
ReplyDeleteOh PK...
ReplyDeletemeh
ReplyDeleteFuckity Fuck fuck fuck!
ReplyDeleteNeeded the HMCS Gill to stop those cross crease passes.
ReplyDeleteDelayed again.
ReplyDeleteThis is perhaps one of the most frustrating games of the year. So many chances to put it away, but absolutely no finish. We won't even discuss how they just sit back in the 3rd with a 1 goal lead. Yeah you've got an amazing goalie. But there are crazy bounces like that tying goal, too.
DSP (he hasn't earned the nickname) all alone with under 5 to go and he FALLS!!! Are you kidding me?!
A minute or two left, Markov coming in from the point to blast it over Rinne who's out of the play!!!OMG!!!!
...and he fans on it, it's cleared easily and the Preds put pressure on at the other end.
In OT: It's ok to pass it and let someone else do some work, PK. If you refuse to shoot it as you have recently, there's no point to your dipsy doodling. But fine, he does all that, and then Patches misses the net by 10 feet and it's a give away.
It's a point, against a good team. Fine. But they could have easily won this one if they showed any hockey sense whatsoever. It's so frustrating.
Also, DSP is a total waste of a roster space. What has he done since he got there? But he has "Character" (is that supposed to mean the extra 10 lbs he's carrying around?) so he'll be in the line up no matter what.
GO HABS GO and all that.
Oh, and I just want to add that I saw TFS get run four times in the 1st alone with no call and no response from the team. Not looking good for the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteCouple of things...
ReplyDelete1. Bad PK! Bad!
2. First team to 100 points. Suck on that tsn/snet/cbc/hnic/g&m and any other cotu based media Hab haters.
My question here is...When Manny plays, the Habs seem to win. With Mitchell - not so much...So which is the better value? I understand that Mitchell did pretty well on the faceoffs last night...but Manny is still leading the league in Face-off wins I believe...so what do we think?
ReplyDeleteMitchell is definitely quicker, plus he is right-handed which is good in the D zone on the right side...draws the puck into the corner out of danger. I think. I'm okay with either of them playing.
Deletethe M. knows. MitCHell has been better than OK.
DeleteOk then...I shall accept the word of the commentariat. So next on my radar is CHip...7.46 minutes last night...was he injured or has he pissed off the coach? What is going on there?
ReplyDeleteMini slump. He'll be a playoff warrior (even more so if we meet the dead threats from pretzel).
Deletedead = death, same diff. when it comes to an empty-headed beaner
DeleteOne of the main stories over at the tsn website is the debut tomorrow night of the latest leaf superstar Casey Bailey.
ReplyDeleteWho?
Also, at the Toronto Star an interesting little piece about the deteriorating leaf fan base.
nonis is a genius
DeletePapatCHes is pregnant, again. Congrats.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.ctvnews.ca/sci-tech/driver-beware-your-new-car-may-be-spying-on-you-1.2296165
ReplyDeleteI did a little math and came up with the following:
ReplyDeleteHabs can clinCH a playoff spot on Thursday night if either one of these scenarios takes place:
-Habs win, Boston loses.
-Habs lose in OT/SO and Boston loses in regulation.
If they both lose in regulation the best Boston can do is tie Montreal, but there's still the possibility that the broons finish ahead on ROW (the real tie breaker, despite what TSN likes to make up to keep the Habs down).
Basically, I think it works like this:
Broons are #9 now. They are at 84 pts with 9 games left. So, they can get max 102 pts. MTL is at 100. So the magic number is '3', meaning that's how many points, combined, that the Habs need to earn and Boston needs to lose (not 2 because Boston could still technically win on that tie breaker). So, a Habs win (2) + a Boston loss (either -1 or -2) would be enough, or a Habs OT loss (1) + a Boston reg loss (-2).
Montreal could be the first team to clinCH, unless the following happens;
TB wins (or loses in OT/SO), MTL loses in reg AND Boston loses in reg. In which case, the Bolts would clinCH before Les Boys. And obviously both MTL and TB could both clinCH if they win/lose in OT and Boston loses in reg.
I like numbers....
I prefer your first scenario...Habs Win - Bruins Lose!
DeleteSo I was perusing google images tonight looking at various X-Men ST:TNG fan fiction mash ups, as you do, and I came across Patrick Stewart wearing this. That's right, Captain Picard/Prof Xavier supporting our HABS!!!
