    Elvis is in the building!!!

Epic as always moe. That picture of Hal Gill reminded me of a story, when PFK first joined the Habs - during that playoff run in 2010 I believe - in the dressing room after a game PFK took of his sweater and threw it on the floor. Hal went over picked it up and then admonished the rookie: "Never throw this sweater on the floor. Respect the history." Not verbatim but the meaning was clear. That made me really like Hal, a former Bruin no less, the guy obviously knew class.

Go Habs! Put these low life scum on the golf course.

    3. I will play that game with bacon!

Or how about I play it now and I'll sip everytime I read about it in game previews?

Stay away from the English broadcast.

      Go Habs

    5. I won't watch in English but I will play along...the guys on TVA have mentioned it a few times. I think that french announcers just like to try weaving the word "microfracture" into the conversation...makes them sound all educated!!

  3. Nice work moe.

I was perusing some Sens blogs today because I ran out of Habs blogs to read. Every fan base has idiots and it's all homer stuff and that's fine. But the Sens fans are really convinced HNIC is in love with the Habs and hate Ottawa. Several times I read, "They don't even mention that Stone has an injury! They just say he shoots the puck, but they don't say that it's not a real shot because he's injured!" "They barely talk about Karlsson, like he's not the best player on the ice for either team". These aren't just random complaints, either. Entire threads are made of these things. It made me laugh all day. Usually when both sides disagree, the truth is somewhere in the middle. But come on man. My Habs hating friend texted me during last game, "Is Stone's wrist still injured? The guys on TV haven't mentioned it for 5 minu....oh, there we go." Not to say they're totally against the Habs this series (I've said they're unusually sort of fair). I think they're more desperately forcing storylines than favouring a team.

So how does everyone feel about this game? I know y'all just woke up, but I've had all day to sit around and think about it. Just...think. I'm nervous, but I think that's good. I was nervous G1-3, but was a little too cocky for G4. And as we know, everything depends on how some weirdo fan in Korea approaches the game.

    GO HABS GO!

  6. I know it's bad form to post a link to your own blog in the comments of another blog on the day of Game 3 of the Eastern Conference QF against a inter-provincial rival whose star rookie suffers from a less than 100% wrist, so I'll only do it once

    1. I seem to be the only one happy McDavid (will) end up in Edmonton. Say what you will about Chiarelli, but I think he'll be looking to trade one or two of their top forwards for some d-men and/or goalies which the Habs have plenty of. Also, I'm glad he's not going to be in Montreal's division which there was a good chance of with Buffalo and Toronto. I wasn't too happy with Carolina getting him either.

As a side note, people rightfully mock the Oilers' management, but can you imagine how hard it is to attract free agents to that city? Same with Winnipeg. Part of the reason so many southern teams have done well over the last decade, specifically California teams, is simple geography. Even Saku talked about how nice it was to play the game, then go to the beach with his family and not have to deal with all the other stuff (though he still loved Montreal and I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU SAKU!).

  9. Did you know that Hoffman, the Hoffman that scored last game's only goal, is the leading scorer on the Ottawa Senators? He was on the 4th line until last game. As much as I mock MT, what the hell is up with that? Give, "leading scorer" on the Sens means he has 26 goals, but still. That makes MT seeing Lego score a PPG and then never giving him PP time again not seem so....ok, it's still dumb.

  10. Nice Feet Moeman! Nice ones all 'round! Very nervous about tonight's game. ow many more organisations can create some way of trying to vex TFS...now it's fucking Hockey News! Stop it already - everyone knows he's the fucking best goalie on the planet - now go talk about someone else for fuck sake!...I'm not that stressed...yet! But I don't want anothe fucking trip to Canadian Tire...so get 'er done! Just Fucking Win!!!

  13. Oh my GOD, a Sens fan compared stats for Kopitar, Bergeron, Toews to Stone and says he should also have been nominated for Selke. They're starting to sound more and more like leaf fans.

    1. He also should be nominated for an Oscar. The problem being, when he wins all these awards, he won't be able to hoist them with his limp wrist

So, at some unnamed sports website they are asking "how can the Canadiens get back on track?" You lose 1-0 on a play where a defenceman is trying to get the puck out - on his backhand, it's not fucking easy - it's picked off and a couple of passes later it goes in glove side through a screen. Right. Therrien is not changing anything you fucking morons. They are still on the right track by the way. Go suck off some leaf will you and leave the Habs alone. We Habs fans don't want you covering our team anyway.
