MB has assembled more or less, a tough team to beat over a 7 game series. without stupid refereeing, i have the upmost confidence that this group has what it takes to win 4 before losing 4.

    2. moeman! are u the webmaster?!? (sorry if not) , but can the webmaster PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop putting up the post-game page until the game actually finishes?!? this drives me absolutely 'radek'!  we all know the laff's clichés about next yr... next yr... but how about not counting chickens before they are hatched? a good lesson is jaro last wk vs the phylers?

    3. can EVERYBODY please get off the throat of DDD and let him breathe?! he is NOT (x100) the problem with this team. contrary, he is one of the few answers. the guy is tough (no injuries) and he is clutch (gwg's).  he has heart (never stays down, always scrapping). the other few notables who always pull more than their weight are kidG, (Y!), carnival and sopel. most importantly, DDD is a huge huge reason for why patCHes had his amazing season. for those of u who love to hate him, DDD and patCHes are friends off the ice. either one's success is related to the well-being of the other. for TFS's sake, they eat pasta together!! the two have chemistry and they are effective as a pair. the key is wheather PA is the other guy or not.   pull out DDD and plug in a higher skilled player and either it imoroves the status quo or becomes a cancer (like fatphil, kadhri, e.kane). nothing is gauranteed (samsonov, kovalev, perrault, tanguay, vanek...)  take what u have brothers and be grateful for what the team has accomplished with despite such a 'useless midget passenger rideing MT's coattails.' DDD has a great smile and he will laugh last in 7~8 weeks.

    4. i had voted off lego years ago and again back during the trade deadline. he has been ramping up his game as the season closes and i am willing to forgive and forget. the guy has never been the same after that hit and drifts in and out. just once, ide like somebody to man up and play with some grit like CHarger and CHip do. lego of course has way more skill (sorry dutch gretz), but this was also expected much more earlier (kidG and gCHuck). dont forget, he was the price for jaro and this was EXPECTED.   so far, he has disappointed.   td is where he should be and we should not expect anything less.  kudos for him entering beastmode early. if he keeps this up, maybe u guys are right and he needs more pp time.

    5. cbc just said they play the turds. can anybody explain why i have this sigourney weaver alien like sickness in my gut all of a sudden? the habs are EXPERTS at making hof'er goaltenders out of nothing (ward, leighton, thats all i can think of), but my point is that im afraid. very very afraid. if anything gives me hope, is that revenge motivates better than everything and anything MT can think of and i hope the boys remember how hard it was to work for what they did (2?) yrs ago and how easily it was washed away when that hit happened.   gryba. am i right? even for a hack on the sidelines, je me souviens. i pray the boys also.

  64. Just watched the game. The refs obviously just practicing their BS for the playoffs.

-I'm actually not that upset that KidG's goal got called back, even though he wasn't in the blue paint. What is wrong is that the ref originally called it a goal. It is my understanding that the original call stands unless video challenges it.

-But the refs were seriously biased (again), especially in OT. It's a farce at this point. And I have a feeling it's just going to get worse in the coming weeks.

-Sens, eh? I'm sure they'll run out of steam soon enough. I'm not worried about them as a hockey opponent, I'm concerned that they are a dirty, classless team that is protected by the league (where have we heard that before). They like to brag about how they took out the Habs in 5 games last time. Well, they also intentionally injured I think 3 of our players in the first few games. By G5 the Habs had 6 regulars out of the line up. And they still needed the refs to help them.

-Would have loved the Pens or Wings. Funny that winning resulted in the worst case scenario for them. Oh well.

-I really want G1 to be on Thursday night because I have Friday morning free and can watch live. But I hear it'll likely start on Wednesday night, so I'll have to watch on delay.

    1. Reading the internet, you'd think it was the 1976 Habs vs the 1993 Sens, with the teams reversed. That's right, no Saturday night games! Why would the only series in the East to have Canadian teams need a Saturday night game?! I mean, it's not like the beloved leaf are playing. So far only G1-4 have the 7pm start times. Wouldn't be surprised to see an afternoon game thrown in there for NBC. Yet again the NHL forgets who pays their bills.

  70. We sweep the Sens in four games, thats why its called a sweep. When DSIP realizes he is playing agaist the hamburgler he is going to eat that up.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Not taking anything away from the Sens, they had a great run to make the playoffs. Of course without a crashing Boston/Pittsburgh they wouldn't have made it at all, but it's still impressive.

Since March 15th, they have played 15 games. Only 6 were against playoff teams, but they did go 5-1 in those games. Except, 4/5 of those wins were in OT/SO (they don't have 4on4 or the SO in the playoffs). The other win was against a Ranger team that had wrapped up the Presidents Trophy the night before and rested most of their starters.

But still, great, they won those games fair and square. I'm just saying that this magical run was a regular season run. The playoffs are a totally different beast. I did enjoy that hack PJ on HNIC telling us that the regular season doesn't matter....except for the head to head record. Anything to make the Habs look bad. As we know, if they lose it's because they were always a horrible team. If they win, they got lucky. And their opponent just didn't play right. And the refs favoured them.....

    GO HABS GO!

I tip my cap to the unliked Coach Therrien and whipping boy Desharnais, they deserve credit for being part of an excellent season.

On to the playoffs, it will be a tough, hard fought series going 6 or 7 games with the stinky 'Turds and I will not predict a winner. I do have my fingers crossed though.

We Habs fans can take much comfort in the fact that the leaf are going to continue to be bad for a long, long time. *Rubs hands with glee*

Hey leafools and mediots, you are getting exactly what you "deserve". Your arrogance knows no bounds and you will continue to suffer for it. Get used to it losers.

  91. So why is this "the most anticipated draft lottery ever"? They hype the shit out of everyone now for the draft, it really doesn't mean anything. Every year it's a "generational talent", but honestly I couldn't name a 1st overall pick since Ovie and then Crosby. Well, ok, I just remembered Yakupov in Edmonton, whenever that was. And oh boy hasn't he lit up the league!

Let's be real, the only reason McDavid is suddenly the next coming of Mario is because the leaf have a shot at him. The thing is, there's a good chance that he'll go to the NHL's darlings in Phoenix. Expect a folded corner, a la Eweing to the NY Knicks.

  92. Absolutely shockingly, TSN has picked the Habs to win the series. That's a first...ever I think. I don't remember ever seeing TSN pick the Habs for anything. I'm talking the last 20 years here. Not that it matters, of course. It's just jarring and frankly I don't like it. Their jealousy of the Sens must have overpowered their hatred of the Habs.

The Sens have said they will restrict ticket sales to the Capital region only, trying to ban Hab fans from the games. What a joke. There are more Hab fans in Ottawa than Sens fans, anyway. I'd be mightily embarrassed if I was a Sens fan.

We all know if it was the other way around he'd be singing the praises of such a brilliant tactic.

It's pretty obvious the memo was sent out that the leaf was supposed to win that game. They had their 4th worst record locked up, they were supposed to go out on a high note for their fans. It was scripted. But even a Habs team that wasn't really trying that hard, and didn't need the extra point, foiled their plans. The refs got pissed, and obviously the HNIC crew got pissed. It makes me feel all warm inside.

    1. And by the way, it's been announced that he'll be doing the Habs series. Like, why even bother? The guy hates the Habs. Why not put him on another series? I know the majority of their guys hate the Habs, but most do a slightly better job at masking it. I mean, maybe he asked for it so he can get all his hate out? It's pretty sick either way.

No worries oleg, I wasn't offended by anything you posted. As for the west coast thing, I seem to recall you mentioned it one time. I've got nothing against the west coast, I've heard it's beautiful and hope to visit out there soon. 60 wins for Price would be spectacular and is the ultimate fear of leafools and mediots in the gta.

Not being a tool, but I think you meant "Kamsa Hamnida". It took me a second to realize you weren't making a reference to Gangnam style, haha. Don't let those West Coast Koreans fool you with their terrible Korean. They're probably 4th generation and Japanese.

I noticed that there was a couple of articles about the leaf on the toronto sports network web page.
Looks like they fired the chipmonk and oooo ya everybody else.
The really interesting thing tho is now the mediots in full blather are listing all the blue chip replacements who they assume to be lining up and frothing to come to the armpit and work for the leaf.
It's a forgone conclusion as they wallow in their dementia that The Babcock will be their next coach.
Well if nothing at all this will be interesting to follow, as I sit back guzzing Belgium beer watching Les Boys in the fucking PLAYOFFS !!

He calls the shots without carrying the can - so what's the point??!! Why doesn't he just accept that he is the GM and hire an assistant..oh yeah - because its the leaf - that's why...Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

    3. the bottom line is that Nonuts make Mike Milbury look like a cap genius and Garth Snow seem shrewd. The leaf core is soild deadweight signed to untradable contracts mostly not expiring until 2020. My suggestion is until 2020 give and Ipad to a Gorrilla at the Toronto Zoo and let him run the team. He can not make worse draft picks or create poorer contracts.

If he's that fat at the end of the season, just imagine what he's going to look like in September when he shows up for camp. He's going to have to use one of those Walmart scooters.

Steve is on a roll today, the gorilla with the iPad and the Jenny Craig award comments cracked me up. I'll see if I can match...

At the end of his post-game press conference Peter Horachek was asked what he was going to do the rest of the night. He replied: "Probably go home, pet my dog and have a glass of wine." In the meantime, Dave Nonis went home, shot his dog and drank a quart of whiskey.

    1. Thing is - loads of Habs fans live in Ottawa so what fucking use is that?? The only way you get fan segregation on ticket sales is by making fans buy "memberships" to the club, then charge them for tickets. That's how they work it in the UK for Soccer. I pay £35.00 a year to be a "supporter" - this entitles me to buy up to 2 tickets for any game (based on availability). My son has a "supporter" membership as well - so between us we can get 4 tickets to any Arsenal game we decide to watch live. We've only been to one this year.
