  2. Speaking of new Seasons, trailer Park Boys library is now on Netflicks. Season 8 and 9 were new to me. There are offical Netflicks productions and more polished than the first run. Episode five Season 8 Friends with Benidicts was Planes Trains and Automobiles funny.

  3. No surprise, PatCHes won't play on Thursday.

  4. Keith Olbermann is a blowhard, but don't forget his roots are in sports broadcasting. REAL sports broadcasting, not modern day homer crap. I don't know if has been posted before, but his tribute to JEAN BELI-VU is fantastic. We have a few days off, might as well watch a few minutes.

  7. Citing the injury to Montreal's Max Patches Gary Buttman has annonced a rule change for this years playoffs. Players will now be limited by speed limits. Within 10 feet of the boards maximum 15 mph. The policy will only be applied to Montreal this year to see how effective it is at achieving the desired goal.

  8. Most likely first round competition - Boston/Detroit/Pittsburgh/Ottawa. Could technically still be Caps or Isles, but very unlikely. Do you care which it is? While I feel confident we could take out the broons, I worry about the team's physical status at the end of that series. I'd like to see a Detroit series. When's the last time that happened!? Plus they won't kill us.

I couldn't find snet's playoff banner at their site moe. Funny, of all the rings shown only two teams are in for sure with the aquatic flightless birds no sure thing. Where did they find that leaf one? Steal it from Johnny Bower?

And juce, don't worry about the Rags, let them win the conference and duke it out with some desperate 8th seed team. I don't mind Montreal sitting in the #2 hole. Probably a better matchup.

    1. It floats at the top of their NHL page. Random ad. I guess I got lucky.

    2. I don't really care if they sit on top, just don't fucking like them and especially hate the goalie-killer who the league should be circulating lists for and not target lists invented for bruins'/colin's public enemy #1

  11. What I thought was an NHL ad, the one with the Stanley Cup rings, is actually a Molson Canadian ad. I have flash turned off, clicked and watched the rings sparkle. This has to be a severely great jab at the loser leaf.

  12. Pens leading 3-0 in the 2nd. If they hang on, and Detroit hangs on (ahead 1-0), then they will clinCH. The Caps and Isles would also clinCH.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Isles losing after 2. If things stay the same, the Pens would stay where they are but would be within 1 of the Islanders. I wouldn't mind seeing the Islanders in the first round. Price vs Halak, playoff edition. Seeing as they didn't meet in the regular season it could get interesting. But not too interesting. I see the Habs taking it in 5.

  13. LOLZ, playoff races abound, lots of games today that might decide things, Sens are coming back against the Pens. What does TSN choose to run with?

BIG CHANGES ON HORIZON FOR LEAFS!

Oh my GOD! No one cares about your precious leaf. Stop trying to make them happen. They're not going to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Wow! Hell of a comeback by the Sens! Couldn't happen against a better team. Too bad they got the loser point, but the Pens are ripe for the picking should they be a round 1 opponent.

    ReplyDelete
  15. In the end, I think the Sens' low number of Regulation/OT wins will kill their chances. I can see them ending up tied with the broons, but losing out on the tiebreaker.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Does anyone in the East besides the Sens actually want to make the playoffs? Well, the Wings won, too. They still have the Canes one more time (and the Habs) so I see them getting 3rd in the Atlantic. But who the hell knows anymore.

    1. Haven't you heard? We might as well just give the cup to the Rags and cancel the playoffs. At least that's what I heard on SN Radio today.

  17. Hold on Jets! And to a lesser, but still certain, degree, Hold on Flames! Go Oilers!

    1. Go Oilers! I wouldn't be heartbroken to see the Kings miss the playoffs.

  18. Great night of hockey considering no Habs playing. Big comeback by the turds. Jets heed the "HANG ON BOYS!" warning to hold off the mighty Blues with a 1-0 win. Isles just need a single point to clinch and Jaro lets in a giant stinker from the blueline with 2 seconds left. Oil hanging with the Kings as I head off to my own la-la land. It's the best time of year, better than Christmas.

    Now, come Thursday, GYMFHG!

    1. I can't believe the Islanders. Work so hard to come back and tie it with 3 straight in the 3rd only to give one up with 3 seconds left. Oh Jaro.

In West it might be the Wild that are in trouble. Jets tie them (with an extra game) but Minny's 3 remaining games are @ CHI, NSH and STL, who are all still jostling for home ice. It'll be interesting.

  19. Nice going Oil! Who woulda thunk they'd be the ones to help out the Flames?

I don't pay the least bit of attention anymore to predictions by the so-called experts about who is expected to win. Predictions are for fools and gypsies. I will be happy to see as many Canadian teams in the playoffs (except the leaf) as possible just because Buttman hates us all.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Fuck the Presidents cup, who wants a Buttman on thier shelf anyway? Fuck the Rags, The Broons, Senturds and any media outlet presenting the big lie that the leaf will make the playoffs this decade.
    GO HABS GO
It looks like our secrect weapon for the playoffs is TFS, no one will suspect anything. MT2.0 will attempt to deploy the super chocula like shell in front of him for sixty minutes and use jedi mind tricks to get the other team to score on themsleves. While this may work in the short term no way you can win the cup with a super chocula like shell. You need a super duper chocula like shell and at least one urologist.

  25. Congrats to CHIP!! Why the hell wont they tell you wnat is wropng woth Patches? When did all this "Upper body" / Lower body" bullshit happen anyway? Either he hurt his head and has a concussion or he hurt his back or side going into the boards? WTF!!!???

We're not stupid eMpTy, millions of people saw him hit his head, he tried to get up, looked dazed.

    4. Its weird the three players on the Habs I like the least at the moment all on one line.
I sincerly hope they make me look like an idiot, okay maybe that is setting the bar way to low.

    5. Should we call it the Harper line? I think Pelly needs to be surgically removed from Smith. There's clearly an internal struggle amongst the two which is affecting this young man's ability to play hockey.

  26. Don't they have to divulge if it's a concussion? or is that only to the league?

  27. We all know Patches will suit up for game 1 of the playoffs. Don't sweat it. He's Miracle Max, even if he's only mostly dead, he'll be fine.

I don't know what's going to happen during this playoffs, but I know one thing. We need Patric Horqvist on our team next season. Why, you ask? Watching the game last night and the play by play guy called his name. My daughter, sitting next to me says "Is that guy's name Corntwist?!" I said, "Well, it is now." We kept watching and called "CORNTWIST!" every time we saw him. Good times.

    GO CAPS!

  34. Panic now, panic often, TFS is going to be run until his numbers are as faded as the white lines on the Champlian bridge, Patches does not even know what city he is in, and our top line has a combined wieght of 300Kg, but the center and left wing combined barely hit 150 KG. Our coach has been high on windowpane since 1994, and Buttman wants a Richard Riot to cement his legacy.
