  2. I had time to reflect and I am now sadder than ever before that CHARGER is gone. He was a proud Hab and he will be missed in so many ways. This Kassian dude better be the fucking bollocks - that's all I will say on that! Great Summertime SF - it's been in the upper 30's in london this week so I am feeling the sunshine...nice sunny ones all 'round!!

Wow, it's Sexy Debbie Harry Friday! And a massive CHarger tribute! Well done moe, Prust did indeed have the heart of a lion. I didn't really care how many goals he scored, that wasn't his job, he rode shotgun for many Habs especially after the team was mauled by Orr, McLaren and the wretched fucking leaf the season before he arrived. Many thanks again Brandon, from a long time Habs fan.

How come MB hasn't traded for Malkin yet? What's the holdup?

  9. Happy Blondie Charger SF everyone. Big TiTs, Lego, Kashmir I like it. Very funny Kesslel Rant, with equally amusing anti Trudeau ad, the working Canadians coalition how republican can you get?

Funny as hell seeing Mulcair in the heart of Harper country and conservatism wearing a cowboy hat and a kerchief.

Might as well make hay when the sun shines I guess.

The Habs development camp starts tomorrow and the two most watched players will be Scherbak and McCarron. I hope the Habs can address their anemic offense from within. I truly hope one or both of these youngsters or someone else who played in the AHL will be able to step in and get the job done rather than MB trade for some washed up former star. It would nice if eMpTy would allow an offensive-minded player to flourish, like gCHuk should be allowed, instead of check your hat first players like $DLR.

    "Never question The System."

  12. I image the Habs dressing room just before game time. Like the briefing room just before a battle.

    MT : any comments
    gCHuck; permission to score sir?
Mt: No not today, the system is not ready
    PFK: Permission to score sir!
MT: work on your turnovers first son!
    Patches: Permission to score sir?
    MT: only on DDD passes.

  13. In a spectacular coop the Ducks have hired former GM Dave Nonis to be part of their brain test. Where were we, not every day do you get a chance to hire someone whose judgement is impeccably bad. Want to make a decision on a player, ask Dave, if he greenlights it, forget that deal.

One of my favourite scenes from "School of Rock" was when the kids were rousting Jack Black from bed to go to the band competition and the Chinese kid says: "We've got to stick it to the Man."

I think "the Man" is goin' down this October.

    2. I've been having fun with that yesterday, the lemmings are of the opinion it's a great signing, it gives him a wake up call to improve. WTF? they reward him with a 50% raise as a statement he needs to improve? talk about the cart before the horse. So if he doesn't improve, they take it back? what a comedy-college they got going there, what a rubber-ramada.

  17. That ROR contract has inflated the market. Look for players to win their arbitrations when their agens will use him as an example. Stepan has a much better record and that is going to hurt the Rags during his hearing.

  19. The question for MB is a simple one. Can we win the Cup without Vodkov? If not he needs to make his move now.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Steve, I'm gonna challenge you on this one. Vodkov should not be traded regardless of the answer. He's getting on in years and slowing down all the time, but he is solid in so many ways that he is invaluable to the Habs. They have a core of young, dumb, full of c** D-men who can only learn from him. He's actually almost 2 playing years younger than he looks owing to all that surgery he's had. And he has the heart of a Hab. The Habs moved Charger - they must not move Vodkov. He must end his playing career as a Hab. He won't ever have his sweater hanging in the rafters, nor will he make the HOF but he will have a special place in Habs history when he decides to call it a career after helping lead the Habs to their 25th Stanley Cup next June!

    2. I'm with K3X on this one. Markov has lots of hockey left. The problem is that at age 36 (37 this Dec) he should not be expected to play the same minutes of PFK and the coach needs to manage his minutes to get the optimum performance from him. He played too much and I am sure the fatigue led to some mental errors in the playoffs.

I want to see Vodkov retire as a Hab, a proud Hab who wore the CH well.

      Delete
    3. the Maritimer11:11 AM

I agree with K3X and juce. The Habs should have signed Saku to a one day contract so he could have retired as a Montreal Canadien instead of a Duck, blechh.

      Delete
    4. I cant believe I was misunderstood. My question was not trade Vodkov, it was can we win after he retires, so we have this year if Vodkov is a key. Therefore MB has to trade prospects like NB and Tin Tin for a center.I would not trade Vodkov unless it was an offer could not refuse, like for the rights to big TiTS

They are desperate to keep the leafool eyeballs on their page aren't they? I wonder if RDS does the same for the Habs? I never think to check their page.

Eric Engels is doing a nice job covering Les Canadiens at snet, glad to see him get a real job instead of reporting on that ridiculous hockeybuzz site.

    2. hockeybuzz is a leafool haven.

Every player has been traded or rumoured to be traded to the CotU. E67

Engels is good but his articles aren't main page fodder at the SFU snet.

    3. the Maritimer5:45 AM

I prefer that the Habs remain in the background at the SFU sites. The only time they get main page coverage is if they lose or if something bad happens them.

I always thought hockeybuzz was an American site? Do the leafools just go there to read all the ridiculous made up shit so they can masturbate to it?

  28. "Armstrong - who played 79 games for the Maple Leafs from 2010-12 - said it was frustrating to be on the ice at the same time as Kessel.

We all see what he does: He skates fast to the puck, he shoots the puck, he can make things happen. But when the game’s on the line, if he can get a goal for you, that’s about all he’s gonna do. As far as winning battles and the extra mile, it did become, for me as a teammate, a little bit frustrating at times.

As a teammate, exactly what you see is what you get. And sometimes it was frustrating, wondering whether he was gonna be there for you or not."
