    1. Cool but still nice here.

the M. does the cooler weather affect your golf score?

    2. the Maritimer4:20 PM

Re: golf score---- not as yet. When the temperature gets below 15c or so, the ball won't travel as far when hit, so you have to adjust what club you hit, e.g. a 7 iron normally goes 150 yds so you might have to go to a 6 when it gets cooler. To score really well you need a good short game and make some putts. I played Mon.-Thurs and shot 92,92,88,87. The short game was off and putting was so-so, there were some tough pins to get at and they have started thatching the greens so the putting surface is not smooth. We usually just take an automatic two putt on those.

    3. Cool info the M., pun slightly intended. 'automatic two putt' should be a nickname.

    1. From wikipedia:

In a 1923 playoff series, against his former team, the Ottawa Senators (who he had grown to despise), Cleghorn struck Ottawa Senators defenceman Lionel Hitchman in the head with his stick. Later charged with aggravated assault, he was found guilty and fined $50. The incident also enraged Canadiens owner, Leo Dandurand, who suspended him from the roster for the remainder of the playoffs. In a separate incident versus the Senators in 1922, he initiated a brawl during which he injured three players: Eddie Gerard, Frank Nighbor and Cy Denneny. This led to an attempt by the Ottawa management to expel him from the league

I love this guy! Career criminal!

      Delete
    2. More:

Respected by his teammates and hated by his opponents, Cleghorn frequently used his stick as a weapon and was routinely among his team's leaders in both goals and penalty minutes. He claimed to have been involved in at least 50 incidents during his career in which a player left the ice on a stretcher

This guy should be an ESPN 30 for 30

    ReplyDelete
  17. Wonder if Garbagebutt will face DOP for that hit in the numbers on Johnston.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Now Dumont taken to the quiet room too after being hit by Desousa. Gregoire went after him for that. Good news Johnston is back now. Desousa gets 5 min major for boarding.

  19. 3 Mon PP with just over 3 to go.

  20. TFS pulled, 6 on 4 and they couldn't even set up and they get an EN. Yep, the PP is back to 'normal'.

  26. Female Reporters Threatened With Violence For Reporting On Patrick Kane Allegations

The use of violent language to intimidate DiCaro is emblematic of the “rape culture” on which DiCaro was reporting -- a culture in which victims are treated as the offenders, and assaulters are allowed to slide. DiCaro is herself a victim of rape, as she has written about for The Huffington Post.

    1. It was Dietz - interference, updated minutes after the 1st period ended, took them long enough.

  29. Not the worst period I have ever seen the Habs play - Condon looks good - great movement side to side...fleishman should stay. the PP looked shit again and ddd was there to ensure fuck all happened on it - which is disappointing but sadly not surprising...

  30. Chip opens the scoring - great feed from ddd

  41. So, it ends 1-0 after 3 for the Habs but still goes to OT, is it a victory for the Habs if the leaf tie it or not?

  51. They messed up the headline over at nhl.com
It reads "Senators aim to pick up where historic rally left off".

It should read "Senators look to rebound after being Hamburgled by wrists of Stone"
