  4. Couldn't believe the score when I woke up this morning. Then, I had to endure morons around the water cooler blaming the loss on TFS.

Don't know what's worse: morons who say the Habs only win because of TFS or the other imbeciles who put the blame for every loss on TFS.

Sure, it had nothing to do with DDD's weak coverage. Or, maybe it was the fact that after winning 9 games straight, they were due for a stinker. Or two.

    Bounce back, boys!!!

  5. This has been an odd game - 3rd and 4th line producing...Lego benched...MT's coaching is becoming "hauntingly familiar" - good for halloween I suppose...

  6. A 2 goal lead going into the third - this game is not over by a longshot...our best players are not are best players tonight. someone tell me what Lego did - he was somewhat lazy on the Flames 2nd goal but it wasn't his fault...

Took the night off but watched the hi-lites this morning. Looks like the Edmonton fiasco was a wake up call. It's a long, long, season. No need to get upset at this stage of the game.

I will say though, the Vancouver game didn't really bother me 'cause they were never in it. Edmonton...ugh, I hate it when a big lead is blown like that. MT should have dug out the Chokula note book and nailed that sucker down. Even I felt embarrassed and I was only watching.

Forgot... the Sheik was "safe" again and stopped most of the "rubber" that "came" his way. I like this guy.

I truly don't get it. Why these people say these things to the media, is it to suck up to said media so they (leaf) won't get trashed? Sorry, won't work.

“Toronto is Toronto, that is hockey,” said Lamoriello. “I don’t apologize for saying it: Toronto should be the Yankees of the NHL. Some people might get upset about it. I can’t help that. That’s my feeling.”

Other examples: Brian Burke: "Toronto is the Vatican of hockey." Mike Babcock: "Toronto Maple Leafs are Canada's team."

Are they not aware the NHL is fundamentally an AMERICAN league, run by Americans? Jesus, give it a rest Lou.

    1. Might be worth pointing out to Lou that, unlike the leaf, the Yankees actually win a lot and are mostly in contention to win. And yes, sadly the NHL is an American league with a handful of Canadian teams. Everywhere except in the gta - the leaf are a fucking joke - Canada's team?...my ass! I Canada's fucking longest running joke more like...

    2. Well said boys. Funny how both Loo and Babs have become arrogant. Wonder why?

    3. Babcock was arrogant long before he joined the leaf...I feel sorry for lou...to be honest I still don't understand why he would take a role reporting to shannahan and babcock but supposedly as babcock's boss...no way he fires babcock without shanny saying so...then again I suppose he deserves a long well paid rest after working so hard with the devils...

  16. Weise's third, at 11:44 of the third period, resulted in hats raining down on the ice as if the game was being played at Montreal's Bell Centre.
"I seen them coming right away. I was a little shocked, but not really. The support we get all over, wherever we're playing, this is a storied franchise. We've got the greatest fans in the world," said Weise.

  19. Deja vu.

Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand won't receive supplemental discipline for his hit on Florida Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov, reports CSN New England's Joe Haggerty.

Kulikov reportedly suffered a broken nose after being driven into the dasher by Marchand late in Friday's game.

Marchand was given a five-minute boarding major and a game misconduct.

"I just saw the replay and he was a little off-balanced and I just pushed him," Marchand told reporters afterward, according to Haggerty.

"It's not like I buried him hard, or anything like that. It's unfortunate, obviously ... I didn’t mean to bury him from behind. Things happen quickly."

    1. I think there's baseball on too but it'll be FHFun to hear what the SFU has to blab. If one of them had balls/ovaries, s/he would ask Bizarro Babs why he thought he could't, with all his superlative skills, coach Kessel.

  21. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before in a road rink,” Byron told reporters after the game. “Everywhere we go it almost seems like it’s 50-50 Habs fans … they’re excited to come see us. We battled hard for them out there tonight.”

  22. I think after i finish handing out goodies to the kiddies, I'm going to find something 'new' to watch. Think I might rewatch Sliders. My kids were just too young at the time and might appreciate it now. And i honestly don't remember if I even liked it. But hey, it' got Gimley so can't be all bad.

I've been watching Daredevil on Netflix, it's not bad. I also follow Agents of SHIELD and TWD. That's it for me now. Too muCH hockey, football and the wind up of the NASCAR season to keep me occupied.
