Oh boy! That'll Be The Day this guy ever laces up with the Habs. Everyday in practice, he'll be Slippin' and Slidin' only to end up in the press box where he'll be seen Crying, Waiting, Hoping. It Doesn't Matter Anymore, all he can hope is to Not Fade Away. Sorry, I tend to Rave On!

  5. Strange, I don't recall ever seeing this story on the tranna network about TFS dated Nov 18 (he actually came back Fri, Nov 20 vs NYI) , could it be I missed it? After reading it, it seems like it might have been a draft or something that didn't or wasn't supposed to be published

  11. Sunday night. Habs. Patriots. Walking Dead. I need more...not sure but more something.

Sidenote. I won that nfl loser pool. 3 of us left before the weekend. I picked the Titans on Thursday night...gave me a scare but the Jags came back in the 4th to win. The other two picked the Lions, which beat the Raiders (thought they were starting to compete but have fallen off the last few weeks) and the Colts who came back with 17 pts to win by 3. Should be about a cool $1200 for me. Alright...winter tires!

gCHuk tries to do too much at times, less puck-hogging and a little more give and go would be better.

Interesting TV show: The Man In the High Castle, an alternate universe where Germany and Japan won WW II. Totalitarian governments rule the USA and most of the world. Kind of like what we just removed a few weeks ago.

    1. With Connor McDavid joining the league this year as the next “Next One,” the generational players debate has once again been fired up. And if you ask Turco, Price should be part of the conversation.
“He’s the most dominant player in the world. Conceptually he is lightyears ahead of everyone else, but in terms of data, he’s just a little bit better in almost everything, which makes him that much better.”
Is he generational? “He is to me.”

from the link upthread, I thinks that's why SFU buried it after SFU published it in error.

  45. As mentioned above, I too am very impressed with Plaid's play. He should be a permanent fixture in the lineup imho.

I'd like to take this opportunity to than the Toronto Maple Leaf organization.

July 03, 2008 - Mikhail Grabovski traded to Toronto Maple Leafs for Greg Pateryn and a 2nd round pick #32 (Jared Knight - Boston) in 2010 which was later traded to Chicago on September 12, 2008 for Robert Lang.
Chicago would later trade the 2nd round (Jared Knight) pick they acquired from Montreal to Toronto, who later traded the pick to Boston as part of the deal for Phil Kessel

If that Jared Knight kid ever makes the big leagues, he should be named 2$ the way that 2nd round pick was passed around.

But it looks like I wasn't missed. 2 more come from behind wins by the Habs and TFS appears to be back to his old self...which is all good news...The Bad news is that KidA is now out for a bit with broke fingers. Tough lunch on him...So who do they call up to sit in front of the net...McCarron maybe? And is Tin Tin ever going to get a run out? It won't be any surprise when he finally does if he looks "rusty"...kid hasn't played in earnest since the pre-season...must be tough on him. I'm only going be able to dip in and out during work hours this week as the work is still going on and Casa K3X is still dark...GYFHG! And Happy Birthday Moe!!

2 tickets to 3 games (ANY games)
    2 t-shirts
    1 autographed puck
    Picture on the ice
2 tickets to the Everglades Park
    Free parking

    All for 99 goddamn dollars!
(upgrade to lower bowl for $100 more!)

Offer valid for games Dec 27 to the end of the season. Habs play down there 12/29, or wait till April. Seriously, even adding a flight and hotel is still cheaper than getting those tickets in Montreal.

  80. Tavares seems to be implying TFS is a diver? fuck you.

""I thought Price went down pretty easy," Islanders captain John Tavares said. "I don't see him going down when he's fighting through traffic that way. Our guy's skating, not even in the crease. It's a tough call to make. I didn't really see the too-many-men, but our bench wasn't happy. We lost the special teams battle so obviously there's no excuse there, but definitely some things didn't go our way.”

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The fact that he's defending the too many men shows his competence. There were 7 guys on the ice at the time (even the coach admitted it later).

Maybe Price did go down a it easy, but that's still his paint and anyone who goes through it is responsible. He's not responsible for doing all he can to stay on his feet when he's bumped in his crease. In any event, careful throwing those stones in that glass house of yours Johnny. The refs tried to hand you last game and bit on to every dive this one, too. Let's just say the last call was a make up for the blatant high stick on Vodkov that went uncalled earlier.

And in other news, Angela Price is voted as the happiest of all hockey wives.

    Good morning.

  84. Fraser said he saw Price, on many occaisions, move away from the direction of he puck to initiate contact to draw a penalty, he is the master at it.
The problem is that Fraser also used his air time and articles on trannna network to paint Gallagher and PK as divers and created the perception amongst his brethren and they suffered for it amongst the refs and he is now doing the same with Carey. He fed that reputation and continued to plant the seed amongst players and the league every article and radio segment and that is something that takes years to erase.
Carey has been held in highest regard by everyone and Fraser is doing everything he can to kill that.....that is fucking wrong.

    1. Its like helmet hair is trying his damnedest to erase his 1993 'leaf error' and suck up to the leafools.

  86. I love this. Remember how laff fans would always shoot back with 'wer're the most valuable team in the league' because they can't brag about how good their hockey is? Well, the Montreal Canadiens are now more valuable than the leaf and knocked them down to 3rd.

"The Toronto Maple Leafs, meanwhile, are the third most valuable team in hockey after falling 12%, to $1.15 billion. The Leafs had held the top spot since 2006 (Forbes did not compile valuations in 2005 due to the 2004-05 lockout) but have been undone by bad hockey and a weaker Canadian currency relative to the Greenback. Toronto has only been in the playoffs once since 2006 and the team’s 13-year sellout streak at the Air Canada Centre was broken last March."

    http://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeozanian/2015/11/24/the-nhls-most-valuable-teams-2/

    1. I later saw the article on their network, where their media quoted Forbes as follows"

""“This two-spot drop in the rankings is driven by several factors including: the Maple Leafs have only been in the playoffs once since 2006, and the team’s 13-year sellout streak at the Air Canada Centre was broken last March,” Forbes wrote in a press release Tuesday."

Notice the SFU omission of 'bad hockey'? Yet he ensures to end with

"Revenues and income are merely projections from Forbes, and have been disputed by team owners and front offices over the years as inaccurate."

Bet you that was also omitted when they were in first place. Eat, it SFU!

Spent the day with my honey and soulmate, just checking in. Saw the article (in small print) about les Habitants being more valuable than the wretched leaf. Guess the leafools are getting tired of being fleeced for shit hockey and ml$e profits are down. Ha ha.

@Orangeman, the Panthers offer many deals but I'm pretty sure a ticket in the upper bowl is cheaper than what you pay to go to a junior game here in Saint John. I haven't checked lately but I remember not long ago it was $8 or $9 for a Panthers game whereas an upper bowl ticket for the Sea Dogs is $14 for an adult.

I encountered a gentleman from Saint John at a Panthers/Habs game I took my family to back in 2010 who said the scalpers drop prices for lower bowl tickets to 40 or 50 bucks on game day. I paid $300 US for 4 seats row 17 back then and bonus, our dollar was at par back then.

When I go this year I have a connection that can get me in to the VIP box for free occasionally, should be good. Yep, the Canadian teams are subsidizing this Florida buttman fiasco but I'm going to take advantage. Giddyup.
