  1. I'm officially worried...that is all. Go Habs Go!

  2. I like Spliff more than Toker...it's more cerebral.

I have an Israeli co-worker. He moved to Canada 2 years ago after 2 years in St. Louis.
His boy is 6 years old and getting interested in hockey. He tells me he knows little of hockey but "Go Blues!" in his accent...funny. Anyway, he says his boy has been deciding on a team to cheer for and it came down to a choice between the Bruins and Habs. He ultimately chose the Habs, mostly because of PK. Smart kid - he'll go far.
I have a bunch of Habs hockey cards on display in my office, but not a PK. However I gave him a Patches card to take home to his boy. It's a couple of years old. This guy knows enough about hockey, he looked at the card and said "Where's the 'C'?" even though admitting to be much more of a soccer fan. Anyway, little things like that make the game even more enjoyable, even after a night like last night.

We're moving on to Detroit Rock City, where I feel uptight on a Thursday night!
I wonder if they play that at the Joe? The chorus is very fitting, especially if the home team is doing well:
    Get up
    Everybody's gonna move their feet
    Get down
    Everybody's gonna leave their seat

No game on tv for me tonight, so have fun. And GYMFHG!!!!

  4. You kids know how I like to pound on the SFUckers. How hilarious is their collective desperation for Stamkos in the putrid leaf jersey? Gut busting I say. What a bunch of fucking loser, gossiping teenage girls (apologies to our fabulous FHFemmes) comparing love notes.

It would be FHFunny as Fuck if MB swooped in there and stole their dreamboat out from under Shamahan and leapin' Lou's noses.

    2. If Tampa continues to crater, DGMB might just offer a deadline deal for the rights to one of PFK's buds (pun intended). Imagine if dreamboat were to help the Habs go really, really deep into the playoffs.

  5. There is absolutely no hockey based reason Stamkos would ever play for the leaf. If it ever happens it is financial decison pure and simple.

  7. So the party last night had a "whisky bar" like the Doors song. It was awesome. A delightful selection of my fave scotCHes (the Laphroaig quarter cask, Cragganmore, a Glen Garioch vintage, others I can't remember) a couple of bourbons thrown in for fun. They had to kick me out of the party when it was over

  41. Sigh.

    Good efforts, mistakes, zero results.

  42. Oh fuck.
Why didn't MT pull Toker with over 2 mins left when they had possession in the Wings' end?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Why the fuck they blow the whistle when they're battling for the puck? now the faceoff is outside? THAT'S WHY

  44. Non-AHLers need to step it up.

  45. Puck over the glass was the final twist of the knife.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Merci, moeman. Goodnight FHFers.

  47. Wow, two games in a row the guys managed to wrestle defeat from the jaws of victory.

All 6 defencemen were awful. Many times they had a clear path to exit the zone and instead stood there, or just straight up gave the puck up. It seriously looked like they were trying to lose.

PK was been pretty terrible for a while, sorry to say. I literally don't remember the last time he had a shot on goal and he can't seem to hold the line on PPs at all anymore. That puck over glass penalty goes back to the d-corps intentionally trying to lose.

I don't know how anyone can watch that game and still believe NHL officiating is legit. It was similar to the Ranger game a few weeks ago when the refs just kept calling penalties against the Habs until NY scored. Same thing tonight.

This is the collapse. It's not exaggeration anymore. Boston, Detroit and Ottawa will all be ahead of the Habs by New Years. I think I'll just skip that entire 8 game road trip coming up. It's going to be painful.

On a positive note, Toker played well even while the guys around him did their best to lose. The biggest difference between him and Condom is rebound control. It's nice to see no second chances (until the D straight up hand Detroit the puck back).
