If it's not a stanchion, or a patCH of PatCHes' own backyard, it's a fucking camera lens poking out of the glass that gets him. Right after potting a really sweet goal. -_-

  20. I was a big fan of the Jamaican Bobsled team so was pretty excited to see they have a new movie out. I'm off to see it with the family in an hour or so.

  28. I am on record as not being a fan of these outdoor games. Too much at stake when division rivals play each other. I am also not a fan of afternoon games at any point and I can't stand the Bruins so today broke all the barriers and ended up as a great afternoon of hockey. But it could have been so different. I hope that the NHL will get over its obsession with these games or at least look closer at who plays in them. I'll gladly take the two points but I really don't like these kind of "exhibition" games. And another thing...my friend from tranna was giving me grief before the game about the Habs being a one man team - so after the game I sent him a note asking him how big the save by Mike Condon at the end of the second period was...and that he could take his blind leaf loyalty and bite me...and I wished him a happy new year! But he won't get it...he's a leaf fan so his appreciation of a good hockey game is severely limited...

I watched bits and pieces from a bar I was at for a New Year's Levee thingy. Sounds like Montreal finally found their game and the dirty broon fucks were at their cheap-shotting best. And of course classless clod sends a "message" at the end of another loss. Some things never change. How excited must Mike Condon have been to win a huge game like this in the area he grew up in. I saw the highlight of that glove save on the evening news ... Wow!

    ReplyDelete
  31. This site went screwey for me at the end of the game and I was unable to comment. And then I went to sleep. But: yay! You can always count on the broons for two things: Helping the Habs get back on track, and cheapshot goons. Rinaldo tried to injure someone there (Carr?) at the end of the game with a straight arm to the face and then his loser friends came in to cause shit like it was a set play. That's embarrassing for the NHL in a marquee game, but they'll just ignore instead of deal with it.

Oh well. They looked good today, but they've got to carry it through the month. Road trip from hell is almost over.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Just looking at the schedule and realized something:

Since Nov 20th (20 games) the Habs have played non-playoff teams only three times- the BJs, Canes and the Bolts (the Sharks were in a playoff position when they played). They play Philthy next, followed by 5/6 against playoff teams (Pens being the exception, currently in 9th). Then finally they have a bit of a run against the bottom feeders. Actually, 12 straight games against teams currently outside the playoffs.

Not an excuse of course, but I hope they can use that opportunity to get their shit back together, especially if both Gallagher and Price are back at that time.

Well, so much for Team Canada at the WJC led by the SFU leafool hyped smurf. A very undisciplined team with crappy goalies, I kind figured they weren't going too far this year.

Funny though, two high-lite videos on the SFU website front page are about a certain future leafool superstar. Figures.

    1. as Elvis said in the Ghetto you are always worried about EMty

    2. Ghetto shoud be careful not to lead the team in scoring or he will find himself back in the AHL for looking too much like an effective DDDX

      Delete
    3. Please, MT, you moron, just plug Ghetto into Weise's spot. No need to bring the blender back out. Especially now that's become obvious that you could bench this entire team besides DDD and Emelin and MB would still extend your contract.

      Delete
    4. Ghetto or DSP? Either way, I agree it looks like the best plan is to keep these other three lines intact.

      Delete
    5. In agree Scott but we all know that this gives MT the perfect excuse to bump his pet project back onto the top line...which he will do and he will come up with 15 excuses for doing so...so don't hold your breathe.

      Delete
    6. Drouin's agent went public that he wants to be traded and had requested it back in November.

      Delete
  35. Unfortunately, I think MT would treat Drouin the same as Cooper does, seems if you're in their doghouses, you're in their doghouses.

  36. For the record, Allen Walsh also went to twitter last season when Cakes wasn't getting ice time.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Whether he's being used properly or not, a 20 year old with 40 point in 89 games has no right to demand a trade in my opinion and I'd want no part of it, considering the likely cost. Pass.

    ReplyDelete
  38. We need another midget player like a hole in the head. Drouin would cost us someone taller than him and we don't need to lose any height for an overrated centerman - only reason this is even being discussed is because he's a francophone...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. We can't deny the fact he is Francophone but I agree he is too expensive and seemingly too demanding. Throw him into a Stamkos Stevie Y.

  39. Very, very good movie (on Netflix US);

  40. Stevie Y seems to be making a mess in Tampa. I want Drouin. Fact is we need pure wool players to be real Canadiens. So for sure we could make a deal for Droiun, Ghetto, LB, Plaid or even TinTin. Lets do it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Eyes of the Prize thinkers say the price tag for Droiun is not huge. Tin Tin, Ghetto, a second rounder this year and we have two, plus taking one of Tampa's overpaid players. Make it so.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Just pointing out that there seems to be trouble in paradise, perhaps the honeymoon with Cooper is over. Wasn't there another Bolt, other than Stamkos, that seemed or was 'unhappy' for some reason or another?

    ReplyDelete

    1. the Maritimer10:53 AM

Martin St. Louis wanted out two years ago but I think he was more pissed at Stevie Y for leaving him off the Sochi team. Then he went anyway because Stamkos broke his leg.

I'm indifferent to Drouin ... sounds like he may be an entitled prima donna. I wouldn't give up a lot for him. Stamkos on the other hand... But I'd just wait for him to go to free agency. MB would have to turf eMTy first, he'd probably put SS on the 4th line until he could make him a better person or player or whatever it is he does. They'll never win that clown behind the bench.

      Delete
    2. I was thinking there was someone other than Stamkos, but can't put my finger on who it was.

      Delete
    3. The thing here...as I see it anyway - is that if Drouin couldn't perform in Tampa when asked to play a certain way, imagine how fucking useless he'd be in Montreal with all the media attention he'd get for being francophone...then having fuckface ask him to play some D...it's not going to happen

      Delete
    4. I want him if only the Druid name is good. Take a chance, a little french romance, how could that be bad in the long run.

  46. I thought/hoped that duthie and blob (looking more like Laurel and Hardy) would go one step beyond (great song) their leaf love at the WJC. They continuously go out of their way to tack on 'leaf prospect' in all their in-game/post-game descriptions yet not a single other NHL team name is ever mentioned (OK, they made sure to slag the Canucks because, Virtanen). SFU.

    ReplyDelete
