  4. DGMB is not going to fire MT until he has a proper replacement - he won't be giving up on the season yet - he was a player for 20 years - it's not in his DNA

  5. If the Habs go to tranna and lose, MT will be gone by the ASG

    2. I don't think MT is gone no matter what, but I've been reading things like you suggested for almost a month now. "If they lose this game, he's gone. If he loses that game, he's gone". There was a popular article by some French dude who said if they lose to boston MT would be gone the next day. Well, here we are. MT is staying no matter what. If he was going to get fired, it would have been done by now. Any other team in the NHL, it would be done by now. Unless Molson really forces MB's hand, it won't be done. MB has obviously based his career on MT, much like MT has based his career on DD.

What is more ridiculous is that MB hasn't even addressed the media. I know people are calling him a do-nothing GM, which every day gets more appropriate, but not even going in front of a camera and spouting some cliches really drives it home. Is anyone checking that the guy even shows up to work any more? What proof do we have that Marc is even still in the country? Talk about Nero playing the fiddle while Rome is burning.

  7. Also, Drouin was suspended for not showing up for an AHL game. His douche agent released a statement. Trade imminent?

Personally, I don't get the hype around Drouin. Basically, where's the beef? He hasn't proven anything, and is yet another small 'playmaker'. French to boot, so maybe he can join DD with Max to play 40 minutes a game. I don't see him as a saviour or even really a step in the right direction. And then I fear that he'll become a desperation move, MB will totally over pay for him and he'll be a bust.

The good news is that Yzerman's front office looks to be in total disarray. First St Louis, then apparently Stamkos and now Drouin.

Side story: My cousin owns a restaurant near the Bell Center. One day he had Stamkos and some other Bolts players in there for lunch. Then Yzerman and some other head office guys came in, walked passed Stamkos' table towards their own. No greetings or even acknowledgement between the two groups. I find that weird, but what do I know. Maybe that happens all the time with every team.

  9. We are totally fucked, we are poised for greatness. Thats the fucking world this day, its like pulling the petals off a daisy. She love me she love me not. The first line of kid A, Superplexxe and patches is fine. Could it have a better center, sure, but its a bubble move. Lego best thing to come from Denmark since Carlsberg. gCHUk a superstar with players that can handle his moves. The rest of the forwards are moveable parts. On the D we have Dish, N8, PFK, and a fading Vodov who any team would die for. In goal a coment flying accross the face of the hockey world in TFS. Even with the tools he has EMty seems to have some kind of Napoleaon complex that says I must break this army before I send them to Russia with a shortage of buttons. His fucking mind games with the players are IMHO totally fucked. A two year old would know you do not play a 37 year old who has been hurting totally in mid season. WTF WHY. You do not put gCHuck on DAVID DAREANE wing, like the kid has no ego. Coaches have been assholes scince shit was invented, that is the natrure of the gastroil adventure. However EMty seems to go outside the lines to make diarehh out of a good shit.
Just a histrogaph to bring time travel into our world as a matter of fact. Its a Squid. Squid scored because he was a Jedi master. Who handed him the blade? Yeah he got open but someone made the pass. For fucks sake foucus on that. Was Squid great on getting open or did he have teamates and a coach that worked on that, instead of putting the puck in the corner and grinding it out?
I am kind of pissed off because I know the world in on the bubble, and I wonder if the CH can get it all together maybe the world will follow. Cause its my religion.

Outstanding Steve. I actually agree with a lot of what you say. Stu Cowan wrote yesterday that the players have eMTy's back and he theirs. Unless it is all an act, who really knows. Max keeps repeating the same mantra: "We are playing the right way. We have structure. We can't score." Is every goalie in the league a Vezina trophy candidate? I understand every team goes through a slump, but SEVEN FUCKING WEEKS??!?!?

The eMTy/DDD combo seems to be an anchor around Bergy's neck. We'll see how long he can hold his breath when the good ship Habs hits the bottom.

    5. To my mind - the bottom will have been hit if they can't beat the leaf on Saturday...

  13. Now, per MB, we have Price out "3 weeks to a month" = probably, the season. And he gave eMTy carte-blanche to put Markov on for 35 minutes a game and sit PK, or put DD on the first unit PP, or go on a murder spree for that matter. His job is secure for the balance of the season.

Guess it's Tank Time! Enjoy, season ticket holders.

    2. Aaaaaand, I've officially lost faith in this team.

Not because MT won't be fired. Not because I think him being fired will fix things.

But because a GM who gives absolutes about the future will never have success. There are no absolutes in life, never mind sports.

I've been proven right, and I hate it. I hate it so bad. Not being dramatic, and it has very little to do with Therrien, but this press conference has killed the Habs for me for a while.

This sort of stubborness sent Roy out of town. I don't think I can take that sort of blow again.

Played my first round of golf today... had supper, took a shower... then checked the internet and saw that MB gave eMTy the dreaded vote of confidence and, as I predicted, Price is done for the year. OK then, we should be looking at the Habs getting a top 5 pick in the draft. Now that we know what we are dealing with I may start watching some games again just to watch eMTy squirm behind the bench the rest of the season as the losses pile up.

BTW, I am still a little disappointed and angry towards Habs management for the shameful treatment of Jared Tinordi, discarding him like yesterday's trash. A former 1st round pick who deserved better. I won't be satisfied until MB comes clean on the reasons for such a ridiculous transaction. If he just wasn't good enough then have the balls to come out and say so FFS.

I checked the standings this morning for the first time in weeks, maybe months, the Habs as of this morning would pick 13th in the draft. They can easily make the top 5 if Price is gone for the next month or the entire season.
