  1. Hey Moeman - nice ones to start the week. Is the SI model "wearing" a modified Union Jack style suit? If so, Merci! If not...ah...err...merci just the same!!

So tonight - I want to see Tinner play 18 minutes, score a goal against the Habs and then absolutely destroy DDD in front of the Habs net...oh wait...hang on...correct that - ...have him absolutely destroy DDD off to the side of the net half way betwen the corner and the side of the crease - his favourite spot! With that done, he should look over at MT, smile and skate off. Sweet FU!

I'd leave him in for the whole game. Hope for a hat trick.
I can't wait for the tankage to be over.
Loved it when the hawt and desirable Andi Bennet describing MT2.0's post game blabber as explaining how the superior team lost the game doing everything right. I must be a medical term for this state of psychosis.
Anyway it doesn't matter now, just stay classy.
      Go Habs

    3. Um Chester? I think [ahem: John Scott] the classy boat already sailed.

  2. No spoliers but the Walking Dead shows us what our team needs, More Daryl and less whiny little people.

  3. I want the Yotes to destroy us, we are in the grand canyon of tanking.

  4. After whizzing through the five seasons of Breaking Bad within a couple of months last year, I finally got to Episode 1 of BCS the other night, so I really appreciate the crazy synchronicity, moeman! Oh, but for the love of the loser point, you gotta know the Habs' hopes of a playoff berth are dismal at this point, even if TFS miraculously returned to play in top form next week. There are other hungrier teams in the mix. If we had just one team to chase, I might be sold that there was a hope in hell. I hope DGMB is on the phones looking to get decent picks or shop our potential rentals, rather than finding that long-wished-for RW or big C. Next year, boys, and in the meantime, somebody please think of (playing) the children!

  5. Arizona basically says they were tanking last year"

"It's really reflective of our team," Maloney said. "Last year, we plunged. I did not do much to help our team (in) the last two months. If we were going to be bad, my attitude was, let's be real bad. There was a pretty big prize for being really bad."

A good whipping at the hands of the Yotes would help speed up "The Process".

  7. Meanwhile, back at the ranch: "Аrpon Basu ‏@ArponBasu 12m12 minutes ago

Habs goalie prospect Zach Fucale named AHL player of the week, went 3-0-0, 1.32 GAA, .962 Sv%. St. John`s was outshot 111-60 in his 3 starts"

Nothing against our ivy-league back-up tandem, but I hope the above factoid doesn't escape their attention.

Being out shot like that in St. John's... must be a Habs thing. That's what Carey used to face all the time. Fucking Lefevbre must be as dumb as eMpTyHead.

    2. Habs farm team haven't made the playoffs in 5 years. Like Wilde has said, they are building a losing culture.

In all seriousness, if I'm MB, I look at this season being done. It's only 8 points if TB wins their game in hand but in buttman's league that is a big hill to climb. I would do my best to try to address the team's obvious shortcomings, a #1 center and a #1 RW. If Price comes back next season 100% it would be a reload not a rebuild. At the deadline move the UFAs if anyone wants them, keep Turtlepleks and Vodkov for one more season. There has to be a way to get one of those young centers out of Edmonton.

I saw a comment today that sort of rung true: The Canadiens as an organization are so afraid to lose, even being proactive on the trade market, they have forgotten how to win. This carries over even on the ice.

Enjoy the game tonight FHFers, it's too late a start for me, even if I was watching anymore. I've still got about 34 days left in the desert before I will check them out again. However, the Sea Dogs are winning quite often these days and Steve's friend Kodi Phoenix shows all the minor league stuff so I got that at least. Plus, I am revisiting all the Klingon episodes on DS9, they are fun too watch! K'Plah!!

Looking forward to seeing Tintin play.

  14. I was thinking of the John Scott thing again. It doesn't seem MB thinks he fits the mold of a Habs player (too big I guess). So if they aren't going to call him up, work out something with the Wings. Trade him for a 7th - let him at least be near his family. Seems to make a bit of sense, so that won't happen.

    1. I missed the lead in but heard him say he was reading a long negative 'text' from I guess a fan. Two things; he then said no matter what language the Habs suck and he didn't let up on DDD and said he should be the 3rd line centre.

    2. Thanks, momean. Took him long enough to realize/admit it.

HOW DOES MT STILL HAVE A JOB??

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yeah, who cares anymore. Stopped watching after the 4th goal.

But I will say NHL officiating is a disgrace. In what other league does a guy get attacked, then have another guy come in and hold him down while the other guy keeps hitting him, yet that's the team that ends up with the PP? Piece of shit team in a piece of shit league.

Hahahah, just wishful thinking. MT will be coaching this team while my grandchildren throw dirt on my coffin.

Man, it's got to happen any time now... even Chokula wasn't this bad. Wait a minute, maybe it's not the coaches after all. Maybe, just maybe, the players aren't that good. I know Condon and Scrivens are not Carey Price, but c'mon. I think the skaters have given up and the goalies are paying the price (no pun intended). Loyalty be damned, it's time some of these guys were moved out. Time for some fresh, eager legs that are willing to dish out some hits once in a while. This edition of the Montreal Canadiens is the softest team in the league to play against. Something has to change. Colorado is going to destroy them Wednesday night with this mentality.

Please MB, don't let the team twist in the wind at the end of a rope. That helps no one.

    1. expect cognitavive dissonance headaches. Your right we over invested in this team. When DGMB got the worst goalie in the NHL we still believed. ha ha ha we are suckers.

    4. Wait, why did we trade Tinordi again?

      Delete
    5. We traded Tinordi because...oh wait a second...I can't possibly tell you that...If I told you I'd have to shoot you...but believe me when I tell you that if I told you why we traded him you'd completely understand because it will make perfect sense and it's a trade I guarantee you'd make if you knew what I knew but can't tell about it so you'll just have to trust me that it was a really good trade for us...at least that's hat I was told...

      Delete
  51. Well, it was a first for me, I could not watch passed the 2nd...humiliating. All the games I watched, I watched until the end. No matter how bad the loss. Yesterday, could not do it anymore. I just couldn't...

  53. I think the players are showing DGMB that they quit on their coach. Guys know that he will never award ice time based on how well he plays and this, to me, causes a problem in the room. Guys who have/can produce look at DDD getting favourable time and position must surely eat at them. The coach is not held accountable and they see no help coming. Maybe their just fed up of saving their coach's ass and want him gone.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Also, the coach orders all players to be in the locker room post-game to face the media, yet he gives himself the luxury when they lose of curtly answering 2-3 questions and then march off to run and hide.

      Delete
  54. the Maritimer9:54 AM

I will be dumbfounded if eMpTy is coaching this team tomorrow night in Colorado, I don't care what Bergevin said earlier. A .274% winning percentage since Dec. 1st and a projected 71 pt total to finish dead last with the Oilers is unacceptable the Tank be damned. MB has to swallow his pride. The players are going to start to ASK to be moved out. Jeff Petry must be wondering how the fuck he got himself into this mess. Ann Arbor Michigan must be looking pretty good about now.
