Emergency! Emergency! Moeman is down! Habs are down! Habs-Oil TWO P.M.!11!!11!!!

What up 4HFers??? I'll tell you what is not up, and that is our fearless leader moeman. He was walking along the street mulling the Habs' sorry state of affairs, and his mind was cloudy as he was ridiculously angry, and then a patch of ice leaped off the sidewalk, attacked him and put him down. I WILL SUE THAT PATCH OF ICE FOR YOU MOE.

The extent of his injuries is currently unknown. Dr. Mulder has been dispatched to check on his status. All we know for sure is that he is out of today's game with what is only being described as an "upper body injury". Suffice it to say, he has hurt his blogging hand. He was well enough to communicate with me though, so he should be up and better than ever in no time. Unlike the Habs.

Oh the Habs. For some reason they are playing at 2 PM? Must be Hockey Day in Canada? [/checks CBC.ca] Yeah that's it. Shows you how much attention I am paying to hockey these days.

Get better soon moe! The blogging world needs you.

We live in a world where somone is making over a million dollars a year to decide the way to rescue Playboy is to eliminate nudity. Having EMty as coach makes perfect sense in this context.

I NEED 4HF HELP - Poutine I anyone got a quick and easy sure fire recipe for traditional poutine. My son is a trained English chef who has asked me about it. He's saying cottage cheese is called for?

    1. K3X, you need to use curd cheese if not available, the next best would be broken pieces of mozarella which is quite milder. Cottage cheese is much smaller and is packed in liquid, maybe if you strain it through a cheesecloth first though.

  4. Heard that it's 'West coast weekend' here. Apparently there is an annual tradition where thousands of Maritimers come to Montreal for the Habs matinees and the Super Bowl.

Welcome to all and hope you have a wonderful time.

    Go Habs Go!

  5. My poutine recipe:

    - McCain frozen french fries
    - Saint Hubert poutine sauce from a can
    - Whatever melting cheese I have in the house. Both mozzarella and cheddar work fine. I never have cheese curds handy (who does?). I can tell you K3X cottage cheese is right out. Must have been lost in the translation across the Pond

  6. Get well soon moe! I feel your pain, I wrenched my back doing the same thing. It was really painful and I still have muscle spasms here and there. Speaking of painful, do I have to watch this game today? It's kinda like watching a train wreck though, hard not to look. Just when you think they've hit rock bottom they get even worse.

Looks like two inept teams to me, the defensively challenged Oilers vs the offensively challenged Habs. With two AHL caliber goalies.

I guess they've been saving this up for a while.

Or, the Oilers said to themselves: We're not giving up the 1st overall pick to these guys, that belongs to us by divine right. TANK!

    ReplyDelete
  35. the Maritimer4:33 PM

The Oilers must have been out all night in the strip clubs all night?

    ReplyDelete
  36. OK so a win is a win! But they play a better team tomorrow so let's see if it's all smoke and mirrors. Keep the team exactly as it was and see what you get.

Nice effort - Nice one boys - One game at a time boys!

  37. Just watched MT's presser...every question he was asked about how the Habs were pressing or moving forward or how they dealt with McD, etc, all he kept saying was how defensive they had to be. The defensce was the important part. He isnt interested in scoring goals - just keeping them out.

Although the Habs won, which is good, I guess, the good news is all the teams in front of them still kept pace with buttman's loser points. Hence the Habs protected their draft position somewhat. Let's hope for an OT/SO result between the laffs and turds.

    Fuck Therrien.

  40. Is it October? Oh wait, despite the Oil's McSaviour, they're still actually a crap team. Anyway, nice to see a win. And SuperPleXXXe!

Listening to Bob Cold calling the game, I thought he had an interesting nickname for somebody I don't know about, so I went about finding out exactly, who is The Test Tube?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh no, get better moe!

That was actually an entertaining game for once. Maybe they should start making all their games afternoon ones, it seems those are the only ones the guys show up for.

  42. Woooohoo! So this is what happens when I'm not here? Maybe I should have PVR'd all the games since December. Good game, fingers crossed for tomorrow. GYMFHG!
