Morgan Ellis jouera un 1er match dans la LNH ce soir. // Morgan Ellis will make his NHL debut tonight. #GoHabsGo

    Bartley scratCHed.

I found this amusing: "This is a more offensive-minded team. I think I can develop my game well here." - Matteau

  6. Weaver just on the radio, he lives in Montreal now and runs a defence clinic in Westmount. Asked how he liked playing under MT, he was very respectful but said 'old school', yelling just doesn't work any more, though said he was treated well.

  8. Pretty sure a line of Donald, Daffy and Scrooge McDuck could put a couple in on this current version of the team that's "headed in the right direction". God help us if Huey, Dewey and Louie suit up.

    4. BS non event and I certainly agree with that, but still an insult, the other D are no less a 'liability' or more of a a 'safe', 'reliable' bet than PFK. I remember when one of the D in Sochi held the opponent by the back of his sweater, got sent to the box and the opponent scored.

  15. So DGMB's presser, asked if he spoke to PFK, he said no, Doug Armstrong did but he did 'reach out' to him at some point. To me that spells c-o-w-a-r-d and also a lack of respect.

That was a dirty hit that sent Plaid face first into the boards.

  47. Just finished watching the game.

There you go refs, job done! In-fucking-credible. How is that a boarding call yet the one against Plaid is a-o-k? Spend your bribes wisely, you corrupt fucks.

Other than that, I thought the young guys played well. Lego could have ended it in OT, but oh well. I will say that in all the SO's, it often looks like the Hab shooters aren't even trying. It's sort of strange. Also strange that rules for interference, roughing and holding always change in California. Sort of like it did in the South 10 years ago. I'm sure it's nothing, though.

I used to like the Ducks when it was the team of Saku and Teemu. Maybe they've always been dirty and I was blind. But at least I was sort of invested in this game, wanting to see the broons of the West taken down. Unfortunately, the refs had other plans.

    1. Thought the calls were all over the place, as if there was a schedule to follow. Not the first time the reffing has left me feeling this way either.

The shootout... I am not a hockey player, but it seems to me the odds are better for the shooter if they take a wrister and go for their spot, as opposed to trying to deke the goalie out. It seems the goalie gets the upper hand like that in most situations. Souray's slapper will never be far from my mind.

Lego, really. That open net in OT was all yours, man! STOP taking cues from PleXXX and whiffing on those, tabarnac!

  51. I wonder if my distain for eMTy is not just an inversly proportional expression of exasperation that has created the Trump triumph. I am loving the GOP ripping itself apart exposing all the hypocracy. In many ways its a bad Kirk JT episode. Same sendiments, polar opposite messages, but the one true message is that the medium is no longer the talking head messanger.

I just read an article over at the CBC website about how the Republicans are literally tearing themselves apart. Trump may be a blowhard reality TV star but Ted Cruz is plain scary. I have no use for Clinton as she is just part of the Washington establishment, Bernie Sanders may be the only hope the USA has left.
