He is bound to be an upgrade on Sievens so I am good with it. Reinforces my belief that TFS is not coming back this season. He really isn't needed at this point. Nor is KidA...just my thoughts...
RIP Ronnie Corbett (The Two Ronnies)...not sure if you guys will appreciate who he was but if not, watch this sketch...Absolute classic British comedy...http://dld.bz/exaM4
Bettman has succeeded in his quest to eliminate Canadian teams. When his underling recently stated "not a chance' Carolina would be re-located to Quebec, he had to bite his tongue to avoid saying the two words missing from that phrase ... 'in hell'.
"I think it's a fluke," said Montreal defenceman Nathan Beaulieu. "Every team has Canadian players, so I don't think it has anything to do with Canadian teams."
""Every team has Canadian players" That's what Bettman is selling us to increase TV ratings. Well, don't count on me and my little drop in the USA bucket.
Like 29, I'm just checking in here. Been busy as hell the last few weeks, luckily not much going on in Habsland to distract me. What a terrible, terrible team. I did look at the standings and it's very possible that they could sink below Buffalo and Phoenix for a better draft pick. But at the end of the day, what difference does it make? MT will be still be there next season and either Price comes back and saves the day (but not enough to drag them to the finals) again or he's injurd and that's used as an excuse again.
Like I said, haven't been paying attention for a few weeks now (oh, they got some 8th string goalie! MB is a genius!). But last I remember the media was back circling their wagons around MT and MB. They let their frustrations show for a week or so, but were back to toeing the corporate line. Truly, they've become the Montreal Toronto Maple Leafs.
Anyway, has everyone picked a surrogate for the post-season. I have Minny in the West just because they prove what a difference firing your useless coach can make. Hey, remember when Dubnyk was in the Habs' organization and was traded for a bag of pucks. Real eye for talent, that MB.
Today, I would have been watching Jean Lapierre and his weekly political analyses. I am not a politic junkie, but he made it interesting for me. All my prayers go out to mme Lapierre who was expecting to have her 4 children come home to mourn the loss of their father and her soul mate who now is alone to mourn all of them. As a parent, I can only imagine the devastating pain she must be feeling. Life can be so cruel. R.I.P. and may mme Lapierre find the strength to get through.
My neighbours just came back from their 3 month stint in the DR. 6 retired couples go every year. This was their 6th time. 11 people came back as one of the men was hit by a truck whilst on his Harley. It happened two weeks ago.
Enjoy St. John's Ben. Just imagine, a few months ago he and John Scott were plying their trade in sunny California. You can't get any farther away. I'm starting to think MB is a dirty rat.
Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!

ReplyDeleteHis coach was just on with Nilan and had nothing but praise.

DeleteBettman is probably considering 'relocatiion' and setting up new digs for league headquarters in Nevada. He can keep a closer eye on his new team.

TFS practices for the first time with the team and they elect to showcase on in Tampa's ice? Is that supposed to be some sort of intimidation tactic?
ReplyDeleteMaybe to impress his gold medal pal Stamkos.
DeleteOh yeah, and Sievens cleared waivers.

ReplyDeleteThree Stars
ReplyDelete1. M. Condon - MON (Saves: 26, Save Pct: 1.000)
2. A. Emelin - MON (Goals: 0, Assists: 2)
