Smug know-it-all Berkshire and CTV reporter Brian Wilde singing the praises of Clod Julien. The same Julien who sends out the likes of Rinaldo and Sean Thornton at the end of a game he is losing to "send a message" or injure someone and says his "honorable" team would never dive. And has the king Rat on his team.

Right. You're a class act Jabba.

I will admit you are a better coach than the current clown in Montreal.

    2. I don't think Wilde was singing his praises, he was referring to how reporters pronounce his name given how long he's been around.

I would also admit he's a better coach than eMpTy.

  4. So not to get too involved in the actual game tonight but...why the fuck is MT playing Sievens tonight? The Habs have been playing with much more confidence in front of Sheik. Didn't he just win the fucking Molson Cup for a couple months in a row? Is he injured? Why the FUCK!?

    4. I'm sure if DDD us ready, it will be same old, same old. On that subject, the FCC - fired coach's club - now concedes DDD needs to go but are still rallying for their former colleague. There is no say in hell that they would do that for any other coach of any NHL team after the historical collapse he spear-headed them to.

I just binged on all 8 episodes of The Divide, which was amazing (but canceled, tabarnac!) and Marin Ireland would've made a much better choice for the lead in OITNB than the uninspiring whomever they ended up with.

  35. Everybody is wondering why gCHuk has come alive. Does he have Frampton on his playlist? Has eMTy totally changed him overnight? Well I have discovered the true reason. All the credit has to go to DGMB. Turns out it was DSP that was holding him back. You see DSP was his wingman, but when they brought the bogygirls back to the hanger, DSP made gCHuck do all the hard landings. Poor kid was worn out.

    1. I never thought I would miss Chocula

      Delete
    2. I seem to remember him taking credit for PFK being selected to Sochi after Team Canada won gold (I know he sat on the bench) even claiming he made him a better player but he wouldn't even endorse him at the onset, when asked by reporters if he should make the team all he said was he wasn't making those decisions. What coach in the universe would not have come out and said that his Norris winning player should be there? Never even used him on the PP either - till recently.

Now, he's doing the same thing with gCHyuk, he wasn't giving him ice time and last night when asked, claimed that ice time is based on production (hello, DDD?), wasn't giving him PP time, wouldn't put him out for an EN when he had 2 goals in a game, said he and Patches had no chemistry (after only 2 games). This kid just excelled facing the western teams. But you and we know all that and we all see how incompetent MT is so how the hell doesn't the organization?

      Delete
    3. Steve - don't be ridiculous! You don't miss Chocula - you just can't stand MT - which I completely understand. He represents everything that is wrong with the Montreal Canadiens and, by default, the NHL. In good times he takes all the credit and is quick to attach blame when things go wrong. He finds systems that worked once upon a time and sees them as the way forward. Young players must "learn how to play the game"... but when they do and it is not preciesly as he wants, they get moved to the press box or shipped to the Rock - again - to "learn"...and on the Rock, you have MTver.2.1 - only nowhere near as credible - and so the cycle perpetuates itself...So I beg of you - don't ever "miss" something like Chocula - for by "missing" him, you areconceding that it was the way forward or a way you would like to see return. And I know that you wouldn't ever want that to happen to the Habs ever again. Indeed no one would ever want that to happen. DGMB, for all his loyal traits, needs to accept that his foxhole buddy is a spent force - he is a 1990's coach in a 2016 game and he is not the man for the job. He has a five year plan that is very quickly coming up for renewal but with no realistic chance of ultimate success on the horizon. Building from the draft requires someone willing to use draft choices to make the difference. So either call it a 8-8 year plan or change your coach to deliver results inside of 5 years. Either option is beyond MT - I have said this for as long as I care to remember now and I remain 100% convinced of it - the Habs will never win the Stanley Cup with Michel Therrien as their head coach - he is not good enough! If Michel Therrien had coached the Habs in the '70-'71 season he might have played Dryden in a couple of games at the end of the season but he wouldn't have run with him in the playoffs and they would not have won the Cup. Guy Lafleur would have had 10 minutes a night for 5 years, causing everyone to wonder what happened and all those Cups in the 70's wouldn't have happened. In 2016 he a throwback to a time long gone by and he isn't even a good throwback. he's a shit coach who has ridden a great goalie to a winning record but in reality he is absolute shit. The only name associated with the Montreal Canadiens that I despise more than Michel Therrien is Mario Tremblay. Rejean Houle makes me cringe but more because of how completely out of his depth he was. Tremblay was and always will be a fucking asshole. Therrien is fucking useless...

Not a lot on the farm... other than Hudon, Sherbak and Fucale I don't see a lot of skill or scoring. IceCaps are trailing 2-1 in the 3rd. It's fun listening to the two Newfoundlanders calling the game, pretty strong accents.

IceCaps lose 3-1 and Sea Dogs getting pummeled 7-4 in Moncton, all in glorious HD. There must be a black cloud following me around this hockey season.

  41. So this season just keeps getting better and better. Now we know the real reason behind the "there are things I can't tell you about but if I could tell you it would be clear to you why I made the trade" bullshit that went on when DGMB traded Tinordi. Tinner had failed a drug test and DGMB knew about it. The NHL wanted Scott out of the ASG so Buttman told both teams...we know that Tinner is a roid ranger but we'll ignore it for a month or so. Marc you take Scott and bury him on the Rock. No one will ever know and everyone wins...except Scott went on to become a folk hero so Buttman waited his time then released the info. With Tinner not now being paid, the Yotes save a few hundred grand and everyone still wins...that's my conspiracy theory for tonight.

  42. Next year how eMTy will fuck up the team. Target big MCM ( did I get that right). eMTy rid of DDD will adpot PHd. I would trade superplexxxe for a bag of pucks just to get the cap space. Lego can take his spot now, and JDR is the new Lego. We have a logjam of 3 rd and fourth line centers, please let the best big man win. The thrid and fourth lines have to grind down the other team in the playoffs. Another stupid fucking fucity ancient bullshit thinking move by eMTy is to match best line against best line. That only works when your best line is way better than their best line.

  43. Former Montreal Canadiens coach and player Mario Tremblay has been acquitted of a charge of drunk driving, but has been found guilty of refusing to obey a police officer.

Tremblay was arrested in January, 2013 by a police officer in Mascouche who suspected Tremblay was inebriated.

He had initially been pulled over for driving 79 km / h in a 50 km / h zone

Tremblay refused to take a roadside breathalyzer, telling the officer that he thought he might be over the legal limit.

The judge ruled there was insufficient evidence that Tremblay was drunk.

The conviction for refusing to obey a police officer carries a $1000 fine and a driving suspension of one year.

Tremblay can apply to have his licence conditionally reinstated in three months if he has a alcohol ignition interlock installed on his vehicle.
