  2. Awesome poisson d'avril moeman, followed by a typically sublime SF.

And that follows a real feel-good story with Condo getting his first shut-out, even with the fucktard Cooper keeping his goalie pulled down 3-0 with time winding down, and N8 out. GYFHG!

  3. I second Steve's comment. Amazing Poisson d'vril SF Moeman. Superb ones all 'round! There really is no feeling like a shutout win by the Habs followed by SF...even during a season like this. Of course now Fuckface is going to balls up the Chemistry of having a hot goalie sit while either TFS or Charlie29 gets a start on Saturday night...so I am going to revel in this feeling I have right now...ahhhhhhhhhhh...

    1. Can I just add one thing here...I believe that your SOTD is often overlooked. I pick up the feed on my phone quite a lot so I don't always listen. Today, you could not have come up with a more suitably matched song for SF than the new Riri single. Not a huge fan of hers in general but on a day where the mercury is touching 16F in Londontown, the Habs won by a shuttie and there is only half an office worth of people putting in an appearance, it is absolutely spot on! A superb chilling summertime feel and a very SF video!

  6. The east is going to be a dogfight to the finish. Wings are 1pt behind the broons. So to that I say, Go Wings (vs MIN), Go Blues (vs broons).

    1. One hopes the Broons either miss the play-offs or get bounced out early, hastening Julien's departure and giving the Habs another prime coaching option.

I missed Marc Crawford on both AC and TSN690 but was wondering if anything significant came out of that little media blitz of his.

Playing the role of spoiler is fine and probably morale is improving but are they are pulling nails out of eMpTy's coffin?

    1. The M - that is starting to be my worry as well. Short memories will kick in if they win the last 4 out of 5 games and TFS gets back to play one of them. PFK will come back as well and they'll end the season routing the Bolts at home and the team will be waved off to a standing ovation (they end the season at home this year...right?) So as nice as it is to see them win again - and I feel really good today for a change - the last thing they need is an inspired home win to end the season. MT will go "You see - I tell you 'dis for sure - we have dat lineup play like that for the whole season - no injuries - we be in the playoff for sure..." And that cannot happen boys - that cannot happen!. MT must go no matter what!

    2. Regardless of all this, Geoff Molson is not a guy to sit in an ivory tower. His ear is to the ground. If I was a betting man, my money would be on him insisting with MB that eMTy gets turfed, or they'll both be blown out of their foxhole before mid-June.

    3. eMTy is so bad surely everyone can see his only talent is digging foxholes, not advancing the front

      MB is married to eMTy.
      They are a symbionic system.
Their fate will be the same.
      Sadly.
      The minions want eMTy gone.
The power people want him to stay.
      So we're fucked.
Another season of dull mindless hockey.
      A non existant PP.
      And.
DDD with his customary position of favored boy.
      Vodkov being ground into dust.
And every small error in eMTy's judgment committed by a young player resulting in punishment.
Negative reinforcement. It went out with the fifties by all with any functioning brain cells.
      sigh.
      Go Habs

    5. Chester I get what you are saying but I'm going to side with Scott. Until I am proved wrong I believe that Geoff Molson does in deed care about Habs. Making the playoffs is a very min imum expectation that he has. He said as much when he sacked Gauthier. He promised it wouldn't happen again (ok - I don't know for sure that he "promised" but the inference certainly was there). And yet - here we are. The Habs could conceivably win the rest of the games they have to play this season - but it won't mean a goddam thing when the puck is dropped on the 15th for the start of the playoffs - and the Habs are on the golf course. That is when things will get serious for Geoff Molson. That is when he has to answer the bell that we, the Montreal Canadiens fans will be ringing We demand much much more from our glorious club. How are he let us start to feel like a leaf fan! It simply is not good enough. There must be decisive and positive action taken...and I believe that there will be...

    6. I'm sure Geoff was not happy seeing tickets go for $6 a pop and a lot of people couldn't even give them away. Empty seats are not good for business. Since this coaching staff arrived there the power play has been non-existent and their solution was to swap the coaches' positions between the PP and the PK. gCHyuk's development stifled by a coach who plays favourites, the line juggling, as soon as TFS went down, MT had no clue how to manage his team. I'm sure Molson has enough hockey knowledge to see where the problems lie.

Great comments earlier. Bottom line, Price's injury exposed the Habs big time but no way they should have been that bad. They had more than enough points in the bank to make the playoffs by playing .500 hockey, but MB fucked up by not helping his veterans and by backing his out of ideas and moralely bankrupt coaching staff. He deserves to be canned as well. Just my opinion anyway.

  12. Hey, Bab$, that guy with those exceptional skills of 'drawing' penalties, the one you lambasted the refs over because they were 'picking' on him? Well, there's still enough games left for him to practise his 'skill at drawing penalties' causing you to be fined.

Good thing you earn the big bucks.

"Kadri fined total of $5000 for diving. Warned Feb 4 vs NJ. $2,000 for incident March 12 vs. Ott. $3000 for incident March 21 vs. Cal. #Leafs"
