  7. I just saw this article about the night PFK got gurt.

"“Oh my God … I was very nervous when I saw him fall down,” Élise said Friday afternoon. “I saw him moving, and all of a sudden he wasn’t moving anymore and I said: ‘Oh my God, did he pass out?

“It’s very dangerous if you get hit in the neck … you could be paralyzed.”

Élise was in the old-timers room at the Bell Centre after the game when she heard Subban was being taken to the Montreal General Hospital by ambulance. She wanted to see him and rushed into the hallway outside the Canadiens’ locker room."

I'm kinda sorta watching, the game is on, the sound down low, I can't seem to muster much enthusiasm...

Anyway, my oldest son son to me to the Sea Dogs game last night, he had scored some tickets, it was a lot of fun. They eliminated the Bathurst Titan 4-1 series win, with a thrilling 4-3 OT win. Good crowd of 4000 in the building. Saw some old friends during the intermissions... I like CHL hockey. It's fast, lots of mistakes made and the coaches don't throttle the creativity out of the players. Ottawa draft pick Thomas Chabot was a force on the back end all night and led many rushes up ice. He got the OT winner. Some NHL coach will eventually ruin him I'm sure.

    3. Like you Juce...I have no issue with bringing up BZbJ. Sending McM down us stupid. But then again...siting him on the bench got 50 minutes a night is not very smart either. The MT wish I guess...not going to lose too much sleep over it. Happy for Scott and it will nod the next game more interesting I suppose

      Delete
    4. Better late than never I guess, for BJS. I have to put McCarron in the category of another young guy eMTy can't work with for his own personal reasons (probably said something nice or fawning about PK)

eMTy has lost his objectivity so bad...

But if BJS is here now, maybe it's primarily for protection of the other players in the last three games? Does this mean TFS is starting one of them? I am hoping Molson steps in next week and cleans house at this point.

  88. Marcus Stroman defaced kidA's Blue Jays shirt. These leafies must be worried the Expos may be coming back. It's OK kidA will show him how he puts pucks in a leaf net next season.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Regarding TWD - i'll preface this with potential spoilers, though there aren't any really.

First, I thought it was a terribly slow episode which could have been easily fit into their 60 minute time. A lot of unnecessary and imho slow 'action' that didn't really add anything to the story. Some of the most interesting stuff (aside from the last 10 minutes) was the guys on horseback arriving. Presumably from the Kingdom I hear. I haven't read the comics but intend to start doing so this summer...we'll see.

As far as the final scene per the M's question above, I hear it's Glenn in the comics and wouldn't be surprised if it's him, but I think it might be Maggie (Negan might deem her unuseful in her state) or the Alexandria guy whose name I can never remember.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I did not realize it was the season finale or 90 min long. So it was that good. I thought they built the tension up real good. Cant believe we have to wait until Oct to see what happened. I gotta say Rick really let down the intelligence side of his rule. Worse job since GWB.

    2. also please note, remember they hid guns all around alexandria, expect that to be a big play

  90. the Maritimer12:06 PM

Most episodes of TWD are "slow" and are meant to be, as this show not just about fending off Walkers but character evolution, development and involvement. I found this episode to be very intense, as they lead you to the debut of Negan and someone's ultimate fate.

I have read some of the comics, the first 10 graphic novels and the "All Out War" arc which is Negan is introduced along with the Hilltop and the Kingdom. If they follow suit with the comics, which they have to a certain extant, then it will be Glenn who gets his head bashed in, which they thankfully didn't show as they did in the books. Personally I think it is Daryl, as I read that Norman Reedus is extremely busy with new projects and may or may not have time to continue in TWD. We shall see this October but I'm in no hurry to find out. COME ON SUMMER!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree this is one of, if not THE best, shows with regards to character development. I just thought they dragged it out too long...but maybe that's because I stayed up until 1230AM to watch TTD too and I'm tired and grumpy today. However it goes, looking forward to next season...but like you say, not too soon. Bring on summer and golf first. I'm predicting Jason Day for the Masters.

Lots of speculation as to why PK can practice hard but still can't play. Some of the posters at HI/O think MB has a deal in place with whoever gets the #1 pick with Subban involved. I've watched a lot of players I really liked get moved out over the years. Chelios, Roy, Muller, Desjardins, LeClair... If MB trades PK and keeps eMpTy I am done.
