  1. Great SF Moeman - I watched that Jennifer Lawrence flip - actually it was aimed at The Donald and broadcast on the BBC last Friday night - a pretty decent talk show called Graham Norton. Are they still playing hockey? I don't care actually - my daughter turns 18 today - "an adult" she tells me...I suddenly feel a lot older is all I know. But I do know that I love her and am very proud of her. She's a dancer of the highest degree and one day I shall be telling you guys and gals all about the shows in the West End that she's been in...so there is my self serving blurb for the week.

    Nice ones all 'round!

Love the Graham Norton show. He has a way of just making celebs be normal people.

    2. I didn't know you could get it in Canada - but yeah - he puts them all at ease - I often think that the US celebrity guests often don't know what to do with themselves on his show - if they have never been on it, they always look slightly stunned at the fact that they can actually be normal - say words like "shit, fuck, etc.. and they all drink openly on the show - wine, beer, gin, and it is not uncommon for guests to come somewhat unglued after a couple drinks - great tele!! J-Law is a frequent visitor and knew she could go as far as she did. When it was broadcast here it was not emitted in any way.

The young new writer at the Gazette trashed Bargain Bin Bergy pretty good today and reminded us how bad Peanut and the Goat were. I don't think BBB is that bad yet but he is coming into his 5th season and if there are no results from his "vision" soon, well we shall see. Hopefully this past clusterfuck showed him that he needs more than a healthy Carey Price to be a contender.

moe, I'll get back to you in the morning. Maritimer, out.

Habs management thinks we (the fans) are just a bunch of dummies who know nothing about how the game is played and should just keep our mouths shut and watch. However, when one of the best ever points out many similarities to what we have noticed, it's a different story. I said the same thing about Stamkos in one of my recent ravings on here...

Good game for Team Canada. The Finns tried to trap them into submission a la Therrien/Lemaire, but the team with superior skill won.

I know Mr. Putin is not well liked, but that was a life experience for Corey Perry to accept that trophy from the 2nd? most powerful man in the world. He may be number 1 after this November. Nobody will take either Clinton or Trump seriously.

  14. Turns out that the Pouzza Grand Slam charity baseball game was taking place during the attempted kidnapping of the little girl at the park. The Spaceman, Bill and I think someone from TSN690 were supposed to play. I enjoy listening to Bill Lee when he's on with Melnick, I can only imagine what he will say if he was there. Thank God everything ended well.

  17. Gotta say i've been watching a decent amount of playoff hockey. I thThe thing ink I'm just a hockey fan above all (well sports fan in general really - call it a sport and i'll watch it). Anyway watching the final 4 (even the Stinky-less Tampon Bay squad) really makes one how the Habs don't match up to these teams. Not even a healthy TFS would save the team imo. Not unless BBB finally starts to make some real moves to improve the top 6. Anyway, we all know how that's gonna go.

I highly doubt PFK gets chosen by Blabcock for Team Canada. And I hope he uses that rejection to the best of his ability to show those SFUckers how wrong they are.

Final note about the playoffs. the SFU are really sucking a lot of TB cock. So many injustices and non-calls against the Pens. Is it just because they wear blue and white? Because future leaf saviour Stamkos is on the roster...even though he's not playing? Because they've beaten the Habs in the playoffs? All of the above? so many questions.

Anyway been a good long weekend. Did some plumbing and some 'carpentry' around the house, watched lots of sports. Now getting ready to play a bit of Fallout 4 - kill a few ghouls and raiders and enjoy a cold one.

I read kidGold's comments about how they could sense panic in the room with 40 games left and the fucking wheels falling off. Is that not on the GM and coach? Don't you sit down with all your "letter" guys and tell them we are going to get some help? Guess not. An AHL goalie with a losing record and more 5th line plugs was the answer. No wonder the players threw in the towel, those that were left anyway. I guess I'm still just bitter about the whole damn season. I look forward to Therrien throwing Leksand and Freeway under the bus at the first opportunity. And PK as well.

Therrien's favourite quote: "I was only protecting them."

Funny how Bergevin's attempts to be funny often seem to backfire on him. Professional writers often throw his little quips back in his face in their articles.

Complaining that "it's hard to trade" seems to be one of those sayings. Also, sniffing around another dumpster (KHL) seems par for the course for him. The foxhole quote is going to haunt him for quite a while.

Trading Prust cut the backbone out of that team. They seemed like a gutless bunch for most of the year.

    2. I am killing myself laughing at how a group of hardcore Habs fans - me included - are spending their own time taking the piss out of how ridiculous the situation with the habs is right now - while in the background there is some seriously good playoff hockey happening...what a complete farce it is to now be a Habs fan - that is how I feel. it kills me but we have a GM who is fucking clueless and a coach who is a fucking egomaniac and could care less. He looses and it's. Not his fault. I am so so sad and depressesed to be a Habs fan today. Please can someone please just run Therrien over by accident on a sidewalk so that we don't have to spend another year in purgatory...harsh I know but needs must...
