  1. I love a super sexy friday on a sunny afternoon! Great ones all 'round Moeman. I have only a small bit of interest in the playoffs and absolutely no interest whatsoever in the Habs. Begervin has managed to do what no other has ever been able to accomplish...he has killed my passion. I live in fear of him trading PFK but aside from that I am dead to them. No accountability has a price...

  4. Great girl on bike SF Moeman. I am opto mystic for next year. We should have 3 lines that can score and twenty options to make up a fourth line. Some of our sprouts have to spring FFS. Roxy, Hudon, Renway, Mangnus, I am cup hoping.

Great SF as always moe, I like the Supergirl pics even though I only watched one episode, it wasn't to my liking unfortunately. The Habs aren't dead to me but as I mentioned before, the Dumpster Diver with his blatant cronyism and spirit crushing no accountability press conference kicked any hope I had out of me.

Agreed, I want Tampon Bay gone ASAP and I am hoping for St. Louis to win as the last original expansion team not to win a Cup. Plus an acquaintance of mine scouts for them at the Sea Dogs games and we have great chats when he's not "working".

@Steve, I wouldn't count on too many of the prospects to amount to much as they go through "Therapy" and "The Process".

  10. More re-writing of history by the Hab haters (TSN):

"The Montreal Canadiens had 110 points in 2014-2015, their highest total since 1988-1989, and started last season with an 18-4-2 record, prompting talk of a Stanley Cup. Then, goaltender Carey Price got injured, and the house of cards came crashing down."

Except Price only played half those games (12). The Habs were 8-2-2 without him. There were many factors involved in the collapse, and Price was definitely one of them. But this false narrative does two things: a) Reinforces the belief that the Habs are a one player team; b) takes any responsibility away from the coach and GM.

The fact is, the Habs were winning without Price. Then they went 1-0-1 against the Devils in a home-and-home in late November but scored only a few goals. MT saw his chance, put DDD back on the top line and started screwing with everyone else. And yes, Gallagher was injured just before as well. It wasn't just one thing, but the coach (and his foxhole love interest) certainly didn't help, and probably exacerbated the situation.

The point is, TSN is yet again rewriting history to form the narrative they want, and one their ignorant leaf loving fanbase will eat up. And one that adds to the blanket get out of jail free card for MT. Who will do the same thing next year. And the year after.

    1. By disabling the ability of anyone to comment, they also make sure their re-written history remains un-disputed and un-challenged. They will make sure their leafies will read it, take it as gospel and repeat the written drivel in conversations and the fallacy becomes perception witch becomes their reality. Only a few months ago when they still allowed comments, I read one of their leafies post the 'fact' that the Habs protected Richard from serving in the military just so they could win games. Wasn't that one concocted by the leaf owner himself?

Their lies and myths about the Habs have been eaten up, re-told and handed down to the current gullible generation who regurgitate the narrative because IATG and makes them feel better about their dismal original six history - which is based on facts.

The internet has allowed people with no qualifications to express their "expert" opinions on various sports websites. The Off Season Game Plan at the toronto sports network is one example. I quit reading that shite a long time ago. You can look around any of those websites and as Captain James T. Kirk allegedly said long ago: "Beam me up Scotty, there's no intelligent life here."

Max has become the ultimate company man, firmly planted in Coach Empty's back pocket. The "C" looks good on you but maybe you could lead the team, instead of disappearing for three months? How about telling your assistant Pleky he's being paid by the Montreal Canadiens not the Czech National Team. Just so you know, Galchenyuk is the far superior player to your best friend DDD, to these tired old eyes anyway. Good luck next season btw, you're going to need it.

    1. I heard him defend the coach and how gCHyuk had to be coddled and brought along slowly because of the market he plays in. When I heard that, I thinking the exact same thing, a company man through and through. Isn't the captain supposed to represent his teammates as well? As well, wasn't it Max who said he'd rather to go back to the AHL because he didn't like the way he was being used on the big club? Short memory, Max.

    2. the Maritimer9:22 AM

I'll give Coach Empty credit, he knew who to cultivate favour with. He knew Max would toe the line as his Captain, whereas PK would be the rebel WITH a cause. He knew Markov and Plekanec, the two oldest vets would be in his corner with all their playing time and of course the Teacher's pet would back him. He could then administer ice time or punishment to the young guns (Eller, Galchenyuk and Gallagher) as he saw fit. PK became an island unto himself. Divide and Conquer. Well played Empty.

    3. While I don't like to believe that their actually a conspiracy within the Canadiens management, I do agree with you and I also truly now believe that the final tally of 'teammate votes' were counted behind closed doors and manipulated to their suit the wanted outcome of management. I also believe that the votes for the Clancy was conducted in the same manner. This current management has done nothing except treat Subban like a parriah from day one. "T’es rien" benched him after he missed training camp and the first few games of the season during the contract 'hold out' before he even coached him for a single game because he had to 'watch and learn' the system. Tried to kill his spirit banning the triple low five. He would not endorse his Norris trophy Dman for Sochi claiming he's not the coach of Team Canada, that would be their decision not his, then when he was named to the team, he tried to take the credit saying he made him a better player, kind of like he's doing now with Galchenyuk. He has tried over and over to stifle PK and he just can't do it which must be eating him and his ego to the core.

That bridge that BBB gave him then when all PK wanted was term and to be a Hab sure came back to bite him in the cap later when he came back with a Norris and a Gold medal in his pocket. Some say that PK is overpaid but he really isn't, he is earning what the market dictated which, for Dmen was set immediately prior by Nonis and the contract they gave Phaneuf whose actual salary was $8M which would have been Meehan's market comparable who knows every single letter inked in pylon's contract.

Like K3X said - PFK keep on being you and fuck 'em.

      Fuck 'em all.

    4. the Maritimer12:12 PM

All of your assertions about coach empty are true, I remember reading in various places when he was on antichamberpot he had nothing good to say about PK. He knows he couldn't carry PK's jock strap and likes to humiliate him any chance he gets. Like it or not PK is the face of the Habs and although empty would probably prefer to see him gone, Molson won't allow it. I think. As far as salary, I think Shea Weber's contract dictated that moreso than the Princess.

PK is a free spirit and the old white NHL coaching establishment doesn't like his game. If he was white and his last name was Orr it would be all good.

Krieder at 19 we could have had, then Simon Depres at 30, after that Jabok Silverberg at 39 is the only name left. 2010 we took Tin Tin another blow, five really good players left on the board. Evgeny Kuznetsov and Charlie Coyle included

Steve, most drafts are hit and miss, mostly miss, unless you are picking top 5. I thought Despres was the safer pick but I was biased as I watched him play here for 4 years. Great, great skater.

Doesn't matter who is picked this year, they will be a shell of their former selves once Bergy and Empty are done beating any creativity out of them. BTW, I saw where Peter Mahovlich, who now scouts for Florida, said the 200 foot game should be a thing of the past. It's so fucking hard to score on today's goalies nobody should back check anymore. Besides if you have the puck in the offensive zone the other team can't score anyway. Unless your goalie is Vesa Toskala. Heh heh. Fuck you leafools.

Good Morning FHFriends! Mrs. Maritimer and I went to the James Taylor concert Sunday night at Harbour Station, a sold out event. We were sitting three rows from the stage dead center, he was right in front of me! I was never a big fan but he and his amazing band put on a great show. He played all his hits and some new stuff, told some great stories and interacted with the crowd, he's a true professional and a living legend as far as I'm concerned. He was a key figure in what I consider to be the greatest era of modern rock, 1968-1979. Here is a cool story to read:

The reality is there is nothing in the farm system that will help the Habs score more goals. UFA's of any note will avoid Montreal and Therrien like the bird flu. I'll bet they tell their agents if Bergy calls to hang up immediately. There is no help on the way. I look for more of the same next season, minus the 9-0 start.
