No summer Olympics for this cat. I've pretty much boycotted since '88 when the boxing judges fucked Sean Sullivan and Willie deWitt out of their medals. And just because the Russians got caught doping doesn't mean the rest of them don't. They ALL cheat... and really who cares? Let them all do waht they want and may the best cheater (and briber) win.

Also, to Steve: They aren't called the Ladies tees anymore, they are called the Forward tees. DDD would probably be hitting from the Junior tees halfway up the fairway. Or he will be caddying for eMTy.

Chevy won't play for the Habs his year, best to let him play in the OHL so AF can't ruin him.

  3. I guess Weber's attendance at AF's golf tourney IN Montreal was mandatory.

  4. No No No I am not a living Black Sabbath album called PARIOND. It was great music and now I must ask if it was just a little late with the central message. Hey kid we are baking and its not a easy bake oven. We only got days until we need some rain, and if that does not come, armagertion. Or maybe you drink your neighours filtered pee. My neigbour is really hot so I would have no problem with thaa.

Hi everyone, it's my semi-monthly (monthly?) check-in to indicate I am not dead!

  8. BBQ is coming to town next week to open up the new CheZ Webers. Its a unique restaraunt strip club. You bring a steak and they give you a hamburger. You come with a stripper and go home with your wife/girlfriend.

  9. Loved the opening ceremonies but scott russell needs to keep his mclame love bottled up. Like we need to know that the POS mclame has a sailboat in the Virgin Islands. STFU!

  10. It's not being aired, but I am on the Canadian Olympic Reclining Team. The ribs are on low and slow and the beer is on ice - 2 VERY important factors to being a successful recliner. Watching the ladies soccer, hoping they don't get shafted like 2012.

    Go Canada!

  11. Just as i type that, Canada gets a yellow card when a Zimbabwean falls without being touched. THEN, Buchanan, one of their best players gets another yellow (her 2nd so will miss the next game) for not moving back from the free kick from the aforementioned play.

  12. I need to just stop talking about Canadian athletes, especially the ladies. In 2004, getting ready to watch the ladies hurdles final with my girls (11 & 8 at the time) - one of them asks me "what happens if they knock over a hurdle?". I reply with "Sometimes they hit them on their way over them, but they hardly ever knock them over and they never fall down." It was less than a minute later that Perdida (sp?) hit the first hurdle and stumbled into the next lane knocking over the Russian and falling down herself. So i'll just shut the hell up.

  13. On the plus side N8 is serious this year. On the minus Dauvid is likely to win. Can we assume everyone not there is in Nashville doing honky tonk?

Other current Canadiens players on the list of participants for the golf tournament include captain Max Pacioretty, Torrey Mitchell, David Desharnais, Mark Barberio, Nathan Beaulieu, Paul Byron, Phillip Danault and Stefan Matteau.

Funny how the SFU aren't saying too much about the Junior Team Canada sucking so much with future leaf superstar midget marner in the lineup for this so-called "showcase".

  16. Bronze for Canada! 4x100m women's relay. Thrilling finish. First medal for Canada in women's swimming since 1996, first time Canada has medaled on the first day since 2004.

On top of everything the gCHuck factor could be the leading indicator there will be a parade this year. Come on cinderella we can put it all together with just one headlight.

    1. another hugely unreported story is the positive influnce off the ice Che will have. If gCHuck is with 3 strippers this year, no way one of them is punCHing him out.

gCHuk and N8 are next on eMTy's hit list. Nobody is taking Davey's spot.

eMTy reminds me of the Borg. All the young prospects are told re: the "system": You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

Look at what happened to our most talented player.

  21. Latest Jack Todd;

Unfortunately, watching English television in Canada means Ron MacLean, who on Sunday provided a moment of Olympian vacuity. While talking about judo, MacLean somehow started babbling about having his pet euthanized, before somehow comparing that to a losing athlete in judo. But like the Olympics, MacLean simply rolls on, from gaffe to blunder to sheer absurdity, and it never seems to matter.

  28. I believe mathamatics is the word of God. I believe that within mathamatics there is always an anomaly, and that in hockey is the Club du Montreal. Long before anyalitics they new in anolog ways how to win with elan and skill. Yet they could still fight like apes on the ground. Those days have sailed away in the great corruption of every institution. But I got to say that I like how MB is sticking to his plan despite the obvious defeats. He thinks AF is the pilot of a ship that he will
make from amber and spice and little people and larger ones that are not so nice. I like the sandpaper that goes against the grain, and make perfect furniture out of scraps that still have a scar that tell you perfection is a path to total destruction. There aint no perfect, expect for me.

  29. MB will probably try to sign Ryspayev.

  31. Weber, who's been fitted with an 'A' as an alternate captain for next season, gushed about having the chance to pull on a Habs jersey for the first time at a photo shoot in Brossard on Monday.

Price on Weber: "He's going to bring a lot to our hockey team"
Carey Price talks about how much of an impact he thinks Shea Weber will have on the Canadiens next season, and how much he's looking forward to having Weber play in front of him.

“It was unbelievable, all the history,” he said. “You look around the locker room and all the guys on the wall it sends chills down your spine...it’s almost a surreal feeling.
“It’s exciting to be back in Canada, let alone the Mecca of hockey. The place where people just eat, breathe and sleep hockey. It’s going to be something new but I’m definitely looking forward to it.”

"You come in and you love the pressure, you love standing in front of the media and talking. And you love coming here and kind of having a target on your back because it keeps you honest and keeps you playing your hardest every night."

Really Max? That seems to be a bit disingenuous.
    1. You disappeared many nights last season.
    2. You hated standing in front of the media a lot last season, sometimes you didn't.
    3. P.K. outplayed you every night.

  36. another big TiTs ref
Weber spent the first 11 years of his NHL career in Nashville after being selected in the second round (49th overall) by the Predators at the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. The Canadiens had a couple of shots at drafting Weber that year. In the first round they took Andrei Kostitsyn (10th overall) and in the second round they took Cory Urquhart (40th overall) before Nashville picked Weber. Of course, a lot of other teams could also be kicking themselves today for not selecting Weber earlier.

    ReplyDelete
  37. “Rads, I think he’s got a lot to prove,” Weber said about Radulov, who missed a team curfew before a playoff game when he was with Nashville. “I talked to him probably three weeks ago, maybe a month ago now. He’s looking forward to it, he’s very excited. I know he’s got a family now, so hopefully he’s here for the right reasons. I think he’s a guy that can make a difference. He’s a game-breaker. And playing with him, you know that he’s a top-end talent and definitely a good piece for our team.”

    Duh Strippers of course.
