  8. Huge news leak. Turns out because they did not need him for analytics the guy was doing the individual media scrum excuses. After he was fired he leaked to Wikileaks and they have been published today.. The number one comes from the coach. " they traded away PK nobody asked me!"

  10. If staff at BMO field actually do assist fans with their banners then that means they know what the banners show and condone such displays by their fans. Don't they even consider that kids are watching?

    1. Even if we give them the benefit of the doubt that they weren't aware right away of what is written or displayed, there is no excuse for not getting someone to have it taken down at some point during the game. It certainly doesn't look good for an organisation.

Had a couple of these last night:

    1 oz coconut rum
    1 oz amaretto
    couple oz cranberry juice
    couple oz pineapple juice
    1/2 oz fresh lime juice

Garnish with a cherry if you wish, I didn't bother. It's called a Dave Matthews. Very tasty.

Came across this article this morning, it pretty much describes how I feel about the Habs these days. Last season broke my spirit and I don't know if or when I might get it back. I am over The Trade but I have other issues as mentioned in the piece.

    1. I really do not care. I do not expect any company to be honest and forthcomming with me. I know the NHL is not personal its business. What happens off the ice is analagous to what happens to a favorite actor or actress when they are not on the big screen. Tom Crusie pushed the boundaries of that, but I still loved him in Oblivon, Edge of Tommorow, etc. What happens on the ice is all that really matters, you cant spin that.

True enough Steve, about company policy, but Bergevin let the fans down with his inaction on the goalie situation and his coaching. He, they, whoever, could have just come out and said that Price was done for the season and I would have been OK with it. It was disingenuous of the team to string the fans along saying he'll be back soon. Regarding the PK trade, it was fine to keep that under wraps but I think they should have got a little extra out of Nashville to take Weber's contract off their hands, a 3rd rounder or a prospect perhaps. I have no faith in either MB or AF anymore. Zero.

BTW, I liked Edge of Tomorrow as well but the best Tom Cruise movie I've seen lately was Jack Reacher.

    3. Add to that, their total arrogance and disdain for the fans, 'you don't know anything only we do'. We are being treated like lemming leaf fans who don't know hockey and hang on the coach's or management's words along with the SFU whose fans think what they are told to think ('there will be pain'...Bab$ putting himself in a win-win situation and fans ate it up hook, line and sinker - though it's getting harder to make fun of them now given the foxhole downtown). MB and MT are trying that the entire season was solely due to TFS's knee and the inept coaching had nothing to do with one of the worst collapses in Habs' history

We are living in hockey bizzaro world.

    4. the Maritimer9:56 PM

You are right about not hanging on to management's words. One thing I found very tiring was all the cliches spouted after every loss from Therrien and Pacioretty. Finally, I gave up even reading it. Ultimately, the players have to take the blame for poor performances, but the coaches have to take some responsibility as well, and they took none. Nada.

I don't make fun of the leaf or their fans anymore. At least their management was up front about what they were doing. We can tear the SFU to shreds for sucking up to ml$e and promoting the leaf at every turn and we will.

That "Foxhole" comment is going to haunt MB for the rest of his tenure with Montreal. I am going to take great pleasure when he and Therrien are shown the door, however long it takes.

  16. no better example of how phony the NHL is, except for maybe the world cup.

We tanked last year, BBQ is a key to the cup door that PFK will never be, and Santa Clause does not exist, three truths.

  17. Montreal the eMTy Years both comedy and tradgedy. Its a movie that has to be made

McCarron's five most common NHL linemates were Torrey Mitchell, Stefan Matteau, Jacob de la Rose, Lucas Lessio, and Mike Brown, while he started just 25.84% of his shifts in the offensive zone (compared to 36.15% in the defensive zone). It was rather strange how Michel Therrien managed the rookie, not placing him in a position to succeed. The situation grew even more baffling when Therrien criticized McCarron's work ethic, which promptly saw McCarron returned to the AHL.

  29. There's no reason why the media shouldn't cover him. He is using his celebrity to raise money for sick kids and their families. The publicity will keep his cause alive. All he ever did wrong in life was want to be a Montreal Canadien and he adopted this city, our city, as his home. His has more class and compassion in his little finger than the idiots in the foxhole who drove him out of town.

    2. By that logic, medias covering their respective teams should not cover any other NHL player that is not part of the team they cover. His work with the MCH is not in Nashville, it is here.

    3. It's like saying media here should not have covered Koivu and the standing ovation he got while at the Bell Cente, only the Ducks should have covered it because he's no longer a Hab.

Another kick to the groin of Habs fans by the toronto hockey elite. So glad the NFL starts up this week, can't wait to get into my football pools.

    3. Haha, I was thinking the same when I read the news. Problem is since MB is part of management for Team Canada and he doesn't know if he's a centre or a winger or if he'll ever play centre. Defendending his foxhole roomie again for not using him there i/o DDD. Team NA saw his presser about it while doing their research and he's got everyone confused.

You're also right, just a another kick to Habs fans.

Yeah, who in their right mind keeps Tyrion but trades the Hound? therrien's universe revolves around DD, all personnel decisions are based on keeping the homeboy at all costs. The cap excuse (another one) would amount to about 600k, so that is bullshit. therrien got rid of his two doghouse faves and that was all that mattered.

I saw this comment this morning that rang true:
      MB: "It's on me."
      Max: "It's on me."
PK: "I have to be better."
AF: "It's everybody's fault but mine."
