  3. MB says he's not shopping N8 but clubs are calling....sound familiar?

    1. And here we go again...Bergevin is so full of himself I think he actually believes that what he says to the reporters they take at face value. They all know he lies to them but he just makes statements like that and smiles thinking he's answered the question...I suppose in reality he has because by saying that he's not shopping but listening he's (as Juce has pointed out) clearly trying to move N8. I personally have no view on whether he's worth keeping or not - didn't see enough of him last year to make that call. I am reacting to the blatant lies that Bergevin continues to tell the press. I fucking hate a liar almost as much as I hate the leaf...And in Montreal these days it just doesn't seem to end.

I agree, in part, that it isn't FHFun to be a Habs sometimes but it is too soon to feel down. I think we can all agree that mt2 has proven to be an arrogant fuckface but until our Habs start a losing streak, he is in like a fox in.a hole. The irony is we'd rather see the team win and I think they will. There's going to be a lot of weird shit to continue to deal with and yes discuss amongst ourselves in here. I like it when we keep it snarky and sexy and fun. Hopefully you can decipher my attitude through the pics and tunes. There are few places we can convene and let it all hang out. The beauty of this joint is there are few to no trolls. I'm pretty quick to wipe em out. The new season is soon upon us, we have a few stellar Habs in the tranna cup, so let's have fucking FHFun.

WOW, what a Harvest moon out tonight! Beautiful, clear, cool night out there. I had a great round of golf today, shot an 82, on the back nine I was 1 over par 36 going birdie, birdie, par the last three holes. Enjoying some 8 year old Cruzan rum with pineapple juice and watching the Als right now. Moey's right, it's time for some positive vibes. Associate Coach Captain Kirk Is Work will filter out the Empty noise and get the boys off to a good start. I'm hoping the new Finnish kid will put a little spark into the lineup just like Saku back in the day.

The knees are good. The back not so much, but I'm grinding out the season. Ibuprofen is my best friend theses days.

I expect to see McM sometime this season. Right now, DD is a roadblock in any young forward's path. Bargain bin has to remove empty's play toy for the betterment of the team. We'll see if he has the balls to do it.

Moey, you might think differently about "relieving someone of their duties" if they start 2-10.

One final thing before I sign off for the night. This talk of Bergevin listening to trades for N8... why doesn't MB just keep his fucking mouth shut? How is Beaulieu going to feel if he thinks he's not being shopped like PK? Exactly.

Also, Weber was no upgrade on Subban. I still say it was a money deal, for both teams.

  23. I was also happy when Kirk was hired, then all fucking hell broke loose when management found out PK was his favourite NHL player to watch - you certainly can't have that! Coincidence? Add Bergevin endorsing his arrogant buddy when any other coach in the entire league would have been fired for less.

I won't be surprised at all that they will have a better season, how can they not? I totally expect it after that shit-show-worst-season-since- WW2 they were coached to last year because there is no way that team was as bad as their record showed even without TFS and the only player who brought it every shift, every game and was the leading point-getter right up to his last game got kicked out of the country.

It saddens me to think that TFS will save their jobs while the foxhole buds will take all the credit for it and AF's media friends will see to it that they do. THAT'S WHAT PISSES ME OFF.

I have always remained positive where my Habs were concerned, even when games seemed out of hand and there seemed like no way to come back because there was always hope...but these idiots just ripped something right out of me. I hate to feel this way and I don't want to feel this way and I hate AF and MB for making me feel this way.

    1. Do you not think my heart was ripped out when they let Saku walk and replaced him with Scott fecking Gomez for almost double the paycheck AND he wore number 11???

Shit happens and we don't always like it. The only jersey I own is a Koivu Ducks jersey and I wanted to own it out of spite. As a matter of fact I made it my business to be in Anaheim the first time Saku faced Montreal after he left. I loved him that much. I wore his Ducks jersey to the game but when the habs were down 3-2 I had to take it off. As much as I loved him I loved the team more. That's it. The Habs won it in overtime. We're all here because we love the TEAM. Screw the rest of it and let's get on with the season. Go You fucking Habs Go!

      Delete
    2. Just one last thing, they don't need TFS to save their collective asses they just need a goaltender with a higher than .895 save percentage. That's what happened last season, no decent plan B in goal. Unforseen so I give them the benifit of the doubt,

      Delete
    3. With all due respect, again, that falls on the GM, he had about 70 games to figure it out and do what GMis are supposed to do and that was his excuse too when he said 'with a healthy Carey, we're not here today' and 'trades are hard to make' They strung us along all season with Price's injury with false expectations when he would return. There was a report in French media that it was a marketing decision to string us along and not reveal the extent of his injury because they felt the fans wouldn't come to games if they knew the truth. At the time I thought that was silly but each time they would come out with a different return date that didn't happen it started to ring true. I'm sorry, TFS is the best but goaltending was not the only problem, TFS was AF's only plan to win games, he had no plan B. AF's favouritism for DDD giving him top minutes even when he couldn't produce to the detriment of gCHyuk and his GM supporting him by stating they don't know if he's winger or a centre and may never be a centre. It took DDD's injury to give him a chance and maybe, just maybe if they had done that at some point during the 36 or so games that DDD never scored, maybe they wouldn't have ended the way they did and made the playoff or maybe if they had someone to fix the PP instead of just switching the coaches around. The PP hasn't worked since MB and AF were hired and they did nothing to improve it. Choosing JJD over Big Bird, etc... All of these together do not fall solely on the goaltending.

I love my team but I certainly do not have to support the guys in charge of running them, the sooner they're gone, the better. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

      Delete
    4. I think this is what kills us the most, we love our team and we see some serious holes (see what I did there?) and some fucked up decisions. Not much we can do but CHeer for the boys on the ice and hope for the best, especially if we are lucky to see Captain Kirk steer this ship sooner than later but that'll require a fucking iceberg.

      Delete
  24. Last year we tanked, so thats why I am planning the parade this year. DDD was on the PP to make sure we did not score. Sivens was not only the worst goalie in the NHL he was the worst in the AHL. Even our foxhole guys appreciate save %. We did not play PFK the last 19 games? Even when gCHuck was the best player in the league little Davey was still getting at least as much if not more ice time. Dish was playing with one ball. CHe, BBQ, and Frodo, are a huge winning injection into the CH. Plan the fucking parade already.

I still say the most interesting part of the upcoming season will be the home opener and the player/coaching staff introductions. I won't watch that long, drawn out process but if anyone plans to, I'd like to find out if anyone gets booed.

BTW, They should retire the torch passing ceremony. No. 4 has passed and it wouldn't seem right to do it without him there. Besides, Houle and Tremblay dropped it 20 years ago and now Molson and his two puppets have buried it somewhere. Let these guys build there own legend, if they have it in them.

It's spelled Carey Price.

  61. Michel Villeneuve was fired by 91.9, says maybe there was pressure by the Canadiens because they negotiated to have the rights to air the Rocket games.

«C'est leur décision. Ont-ils été victimes de pressions de la part du Canadien? Peut-être, car ils ont négocié fort pour obtenir les droits de diffusion de matchs du Rocket de Montréal (le club-école du Canadien à partir de l'an prochain). Ont-ils succombé aux pressions? Il ventait fort. La station en est à ses premiers balbutiements. Mais de mon côté, j'ai toujours maintenu ma position et ce soir, je me couche en paix.»

  63. Extrodinary claims require extrondinary proof. Remember The Chariots of the Gods Great supistion, but lousy science. Villeneuve was Edward Snowden without documented evidence. He deserved to go. If you want to kill the king there is no room for error.

    1. Glad I missed it but then again the SFUers will be cramming this kind of shit until he gets trade to the Coyotes. I find it utterly hilarious how these wads droopingly spew about speed and skill! and speed and skill! and speed and skill! How long has the game been played? Is speed a new concept? sportsnet is a hive of leaf fuck(s).

How about a little break from the goings on in the gta where hockey's elite have gathered to do... something.

Local CBC news tonight, a reporter was down at the cruise ship terminal today asking local vendors and tourist employees what some of the more unique questions from passengers have been asked. I'm assuming some of these folks have a)never been near the ocean and b)never been to Canada. Here goes:

    1) Where is the switch that makes Reversing Falls run backwards?
    2) When will the fog lift and where is the snow?
    3) When do they release the whales so we can watch them?

and here is the best one:

    4) At what age does a deer become a moose? "............................."

    I shit you not.

  73. Overall, the Leafs are spending a pile of money on players who won’t play for them. Including Robidas’s $3-million deal, Lupul, Nathan Horton, Jared Cowen’s disputed contract, Tim Gleason’s buyout and the retained salary from Phil Kessel’s deal, they could be spending up to $19.2-million on thin air next season, almost exclusively on cleaning up mistakes left by previous management teams.
