Come gather 'round FHFers where ever you roam
And admit that the waters around us have grown
And accept it that soon we’ll be drenCHed to the bone
If our team with mt2 is worth savin'
Then he better start swimmin' or he’ll sink like a stone,
For the Habs they are a' CHangin'!

Come writers and critics who prophesy with your pen
And keep your eyes wide the CHance won't come again
And don't speak too soon for gCHuck’s wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who that it's namin'
For the loser now will be later the GM to win
For the Habs they are a' CHangin'!

Come haters, SFUckers please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway don't block up the hall
For TFS™ that gets hurt will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside and it's ragin'
BBQ’ll soon shake your windows and rattle your walls
For the Habs they are a' CHangin'!

Come losers and blathers throughout the land
And don't criticize what you can't understand
Your PFK and your Lego are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin'
Please get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand
For the Habs they are a' CHangin'!

The line it is drawn the foxhole curse it is cast
The slow one now will later be fast
As the present now will later be past
The order is rapidly fadin'
And the first one now will later be last
For the Habs they are a' CHangin'!

An over-excited staffer had to be restrained after attempting to pour molten gold over Matthews' genitalia. The ever-gracious Matthews offered up his little toe in sacrifice to satisfy this fan, but was held back at the last second by an MLSE attorney's filing of a court injunction stating that only the MLSE may alter a molecule on his body for the next 150 years.

  10. So, FWIW, I didn't watch any hockey last night. I expected the worst from the SFUckers and from what I've gleaned, its worse than I thought it would be. One game in and the level of toronto arrogance is out of bounds. snet and tsn cannot hold themselves back, suggesting we don't realize how great AM truly is and how incredibly powerful the CotU has become in al(most) every sport. Too bad for you Argos. I've written before that it will get way fucking worse and it'll never get better. I'm doing my best to avoid these SFUckers.

  22. Barack Obama being interviewed in Rolling Stone talking about Dylan's performance at the White House in February 2010 where he performed a recognizable but re-candenced version of the Times They Are A Changin'.
Here's what I love about Dylan: He was exactly as you'd expect he would be. He wouldn't come to the rehearsal; usually, all these guys are practicing before the set in the evening. He didn't want to take a picture with me; usually all the talent is dying to take a picture with me and Michelle before the show, but he didn't show up to that. He came in and played "The Times They Are A-Changin'." A beautiful rendition. The guy is so steeped in this stuff that he can just come up with some new arrangement, and the song sounds completely different. Finishes the song, steps off the stage — I'm sitting right in the front row — comes up, shakes my hand, sort of tips his head, gives me just a little grin, and then leaves. And that was it — then he left. That was our only interaction with him. And I thought: That's how you want Bob Dylan, right? You don't want him to be all cheesin' and grinnin' with you. You want him to be a little skeptical about the whole enterprise. So that was a real treat.

  29. So early 90's, Mtl Forum. Dylan had The Alarm opening. Some kind of weird double bill. I don't know if you remember the Alarm, but I enjoyed them, they could rock. And they rocked hard for like 45 minutes or so. Bob comes out, decides to out-rock the Alarm. Comes out, doesn't say a word, no hello or anythkng, and proceeds to rip through a blazing 2 hours. Never picks up an acoustic guitar, never speaks to the audience or even acknowledge their existence. My sister who I was with claims she saw him nod at the audience at the end, but I didn't see it. Epic show.

  37. Anybody know WTF is with the NFL's Thursday night uniforms? If you look at the Broncos standing on the field tonight covered head to toe in orange, it looks like they're standing on a 'green screen' , especially when the add the graphics on the field. Anyway, they do this every week and I don't know what the point is, other than it's probably a $$$ thing between the NFL and Reebok or Nike or whoever makes the damn things.

  43. Late 80's, Landsdowne Park. It was some sort of festival, with a crazy lineup headlined by Bob Dylan. There was Joe Cocker, the Neville Brothers, Van morrison, Michelle Shocked and a few others, it's all kind of vague now. Concert was like 12 hours. By the time Bob came out everyone was just exhausted, and some had even left! Bob proceeded to do a set where he re-worked and re-arranged (a specialty of his) literally every single song. No one had any fucking clue what songs he was playing. And they were hits! My sister (I go to most Dylan shows with her) and I spent the set guessing what song it was. And we're Dylan experts pretty much! It was weird. It was epic. Nobel worthy.

  45. I saw Bob once here in Halifax in 2008. I think it was the Neverending Tour. The arrangements for the entire show were very Blues oriented, with a hint of jazz. The twist on his more popular/famous songs were very impressive and I didn't recognize about half the songs in the set, but enjoyed it immensely nonetheless. And I'm not really a live concert guy, I could probably list them on my 2 hands and have my thumbs still available for hitch hiking.

  52. Things we've learned so far in this young season:

    1) BBQ can shoot the puck like 'him'.
    2) Inigo is a very capable 20 game backup goalie. Prepare to Die!
    3) Jaws doesn't look out of place on the 2nd line.
    4) CHevy looks like an 18 year old playing with men. I predict he'll be back to Windsor after game 9 at the latest.
    5) kidG is obviously half the player of Auston Matthews.

It was an ugly win but we'll take it.

I always see commenters on other sites who advocate for trading (Y) because he makes too many mistakes. Are you kidding me? The guy's a beast out there and one of the few Habs D who actually make the opposition forwards be wary. Loved how he drove Lucy crazy.
