Too late a start for this cat, 11:00 AST, I'll record it and watCH in the morning. You guys have fun and give me lots of fun comments to read in the morning.

Before I go, I just watched Insider Trading with insidredger and fat blob, Dougie Hamilton coming to the leaf and Peter Holland (who gives a fuck) leaving the leaf. Something about Anthony Duclair and the CBA. Fuck you leaf fanboy hacks and wipe that blue splooge off your faces.

    Have fun!

  9. Flipping around the games. the Broons feed are such homers. Reminds me of the SFU. Of course, Julie gets livid over an embellishment call.

Guess I won't bother watching it. Close game, a 2-1 score either way is an emty wet dream.

    1. They had chances but couldn't take advantage of their opportunities, there were a few times they had open nets and couldn't finish.

  25. Managed to stay with it till the end.
Habs pressed hard with the clock running out and TFS pulled in the 3rd, Shaw scores and it's 2-1 but then he takes a hooking penalty with about 30 secs left. Then he takes a temper tantrum in the box slamming his stick at the glass then breaking it in 2 over his knee and shouting something and gets a misconduct. On the way out he punches the rack holding all the sticks sending them crashing down. No self-control whatsoever.

    Found a video this morning:

  26. And it continues. Habs have no answer to a big team on the road. AF doesn't have a clue...or an interest for that matter in even attempting to match lines...

The summer’s (almost) gone, and winter is tuning up. This is when the big boys up the middle take over the game and a lot of speed and razzle dazzle begins to get almost totally shut down. Most nights in this NHL, the grinding teams win through attrition. The Habs don’t have enough size to grind and most of their speed is matched by the other teams.

I keep reading that The Habs are going "all in" this year. If true, then MB needs to get off his ass and move Pleks and DD. They just can't run with the big boys anymore.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. IF one believes MB and the beating drums media, the Habs were supposed to be hard to play against and teams would fear them.

    2. the Maritimer2:38 PM

Au contraire, The Habs are ridiculously easy to play against, the forwards at least. Put out your top 2 D against the gCHuk line... done, Pleks, Max and kidG are dysfunctional together at best, The 4th line poses little threat and DD's line only has two players and is useless. Any coach worth his salt can figure that out.

  28. Burke on Dougie Hamilton trade rumours"

"If you've got the right offer, if someone offers us 20 first-round picks, are we making that deal? Probably. Wayne Gretzky got traded. But the difference between listening, listening attentively, and shopping are different things. Would we listen? Yes, it's our job to listen. Is he a guy we intend to move? Not a chance. Is that a guy we think will move? Not a chance."

    Sound familiar?

  31. SFU headline;

"Maple Leafs rank third in Forbes’ annual most valuable team list"

    Habs are 2nd BTW.

  32. I am going to lose my mind if we do not pull the trigger on RNH. Plexs and DDD, or DDD and patches and Plexs and Indgo, and Flynn, just get a fucking center for the 2nd or third line.
    Ryan Nugent Hopkins.
    3 goals
    7 assists.
at 6m per year. He is signed long term.

Keep showcasing DDD, look Trump won, people will buy anything with enough showcasing.

Soon we'll be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the '93 Cup. Just after the leaf celebrate their 50th!

      Yay Gary!

  39. Our greatest mistake, was seriously not tanking one or two more years. Thats the Chicago way, name a team that has won the Stanley Cup since 1993 that did not tank for at least 3 years and most a decade.
In 2013 had we had pick six or seven we today would be in Stanley cup heavan. Instead we are watching DDD wave his stick around and Superplexxxe prove you can make six million a year in the NHL playing without a stick. Its too late to tank now. So we got to burn down the village to save it. Scorched earth peasants sell the future today because next year we dont know if TFS is going away. If I am him am going back to Vancouver were the seagull fly and the bud in fine and you can walk down the street without everyone doing the five and dime. Even if we keep him he is an anchor system, no money to score goals. Its a lose lose folks, so burn down the mission if you want to stay alive.

The scorched earth policy is a good one in theory however, tanking is not the Montreal way. Besides, BBB is on the 10 year plan, he's only half way there.

  41. Gallant taking the high road defending FLA travel coordinator Stiles Burr over the taxi fiasco. I think management is totally to blame as I'm sure they didn't tell Burr before hand given that they gutlessly fired him over the phone from the the visitor’s coaching office.
