  2. I just heard Kypridiot on "Hockey" Central say that Max Pacioretty "just needs to be a Phil Kessel."

    1. No thanks. Thank-you-very-much.

I mean, Kessel has always produced. MaxPax is a DEAL right now in the NHL at probably half of Kessel's salary.

  11. 25 minutes of Sportscentre and nary a mention of the fact that the best team in the NHL that is in the 2nd biggest city in Canada plays in about an hour against the team from the 3rd biggest city in Canada. We got 6-7 minutes of Kadri cock-sucking and 3-4 minutes of how a Toronto FC player got robbed of being a finalist for MLS MVP

    Why do I even bother

    1. It's a bit like Stockholm Syndrome. We know they have us captive and don't have our best interest in mind, but we keep listening to them, hoping they'll change, see the error of their ways and let us go by giving equal airtime to all Canadian cities...maybe even a little extra to the unbeaten team 9 games in.

This team is a fourth line, two bears a honey badger, a mountian and TFS.

-we played like crap, Seriously crap. Especially first 30 minutes. shots were 22-3 at one point. Bouncing puck, not much skating, no offense, no flow, nothing
    - fun watching BBQ off the puck. gorgeous positioning, and he's directing traffic. really outstanfing
    - On the jumbotron, they have this video to make noise starring CHé which is the greatest thing in the history of everything
    - 16 oz. of crappy Molson beer is up to $11.75. Good thing I was drunk when I left

  80. Oh yeah, Condon new nick "used"

    ReplyDelete
  81. "I'm pretty awake." -- Canadiens goalie Carey Price when told defenseman Nathan Beaulieu called this game a wakeup call.

    Subtle yet powerful.

    ReplyDelete
  82. the Maritimer9:23 AM

I hate to be a buzzkill but, last two games against the lowly leaf and a not-so-good Vancouver side, all I can say is thank goodness for Price's outstanding performances. The Habs skaters should handing over a percentage of their salaries to Carey 'cause he is making them look better than they are. Other than Tampa I don't think they've faced a good team yet. Are they playing down to their opponents? GMGQ and emty better hope so.

Congrats to long suffering Cubs fans, only 58 years to go for leafools.

  87. the Maritimer9:16 PM

As predicted by many, myself included, nothing but a buttman cash grab. Proud to say I never watched one second of it:

World Cup cash: The NHLPA is very close to making a final decision on how to share profits from the World Cup of Hockey with its membership. The expectation is that it will be a 70-30 split, or close to that, between the players who participated and the overall rank and file. It's been estimated the profits from the World Cup were in the $60 million range.

    ReplyDelete
  88. the Maritimer9:25 PM

Before you write me off as a bitter old fan, let me ask: WTF was the World Cup anyway? A half dozen legit countries plus two gimmicky teams thrown together to play for what, exactly? You already have the Senior World Championships (which I always watch) a legitimate tournament over a hundred years old and the Olympics every four years. The so-called World Cup has only been around since the little slimebag started his tenure. No history there at all. Screw him. If it was pension money for old-timers I'd buy in but the present day millionaires don't need it.

    End of rant.
