You can't win if you can't score goals. Right now Price would have to pitch a shutout to get anything. Same old same old as last year. Nothing ever changes. Weak, weak, weak group of forwards. Oh for the days of Lafleur, Shutt and Lemaire plus the Road Runner.

Somebody commented in the San Jose thread that one of the songs played when the players came on the ice was Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne. The Habs are currently on the Empty Train conducted by DD.

  7. DDD and PatCHes went on RDS to play EA Sports hockey. They came back and told AF playing your system is not like playing on Xbox.

  8. Sorry the M I picked your Gmen to lose to moeman's Steelers in my survivor pool. 5 guys left and for the 2nd week in a row, 5 different picks. Other picks to lose are Detroit (up 13-3 at the half to NO!), TB, AZ and Houston (down 7-0 at half). So go Lions, Bucs, Cards and Texans!!!

And if it means the demise of the Habs, go Kings. But really, GYMFHG!!!

  9. No roster changes for #Habs vs Kings. However, 1st PP will feature 4 F, 1D. Weber, Radulov, Pacioretty, Galchenyuk & Shaw.

2nd PP Lehkonen - Desharnais - Gallagher. Markov- Petry on D. Price starts against L.A.

  11. Lots of options on the tele today. Of course there's the Habs coming up if you can stomach watching them attempt to play hockey in California. Then there's the NFL of course. And a 3rd option has Jones vs Hohman in the final of the Canada Cup of Curling, featuring 2 of the best (and cutest) mates in the game with Emma Miskew and Kaitlyn Laws. And last, but not least on PBS Andrea Bocelli is performing songs from famous movies.

I'll bet moe a beer that my Giants upset his 6 point favourite Steelers.

Just read one of the best descriptors of MT ever: "Sheer talent killer."

That miserable fuck would have ruined even Crosby if he had been allowed to. Rey Shero is smarter than Bargain Bin. A nice 10 game losing streak might do it. Then again... maybe not.

    1. I've only watched the first episode when it came out and I had a free trial for HBO. It has potential, seems quite popular and by all accounts features lots of nude 'robots' of each gender, so something for all. I'll probably wait for the season to finish (that's probably soon), maybe binge it on the christmas vacation.

  22. I know it happens both ways so not complaining about the call, but when did they start calling slashing penalties because of guys that can't hold onto their sticks? I know it's been a while, and i think it started when these new composite sticks came into use and break so easily.

    And fuck!

Great win for the little team that could. No shots at MT and DD.

Re: Westworld, takes a few episodes to really get going, I think the season finale is tonight. I like it.

I made moe's Asian 5 spice short ribs tonight with a few modifications. The ribs were way to pricey for very little meat, I substituted (at the butcher's suggestion) strip loin steak with bone-in and cut the meat up myself. Very tasty!

Now, GO YOU FUCKING GIANTS GO!!

    1. Is there a lot of latin spoken in LaLa Land? E pluribus unum & Il dulce et decorum est pro patria mori are the only 2 latin phrases I know, and that latter one is the only thing I remember from my Grade 11 English Class in which my oft hungover teacher often had us "watch another flick". That was from a WWII movie but i can't remember it.

  60. That should seal it. Quick survivor pool update. We're down to 4, the guy that picked the Lions is out. The guy that picked Houston is safe. I'm feeling 99% confident the Steelers will hang on and I'll move on. One has picked the Cardinals, the other the Bucs - they're both winning, but in close games. If the scores hold, it'll be down to a 50/50 chance of winning the $1.2K 2nd place is worth something - at least double my money back.

    1. Sweet.

I'm biased but PIT in the playoffs will make it fun.

    2. The Patriots without Gronk opens up the field a little more I think. It's been too long since the Steelers and Pats have met in the playoffs. At least 10 years I think.

    3. That would be cool.

PIT v. DAL (puke) would be nuts.

  69. Alex Galchenyuk suffered a lower body injury on December 4 in Los Angeles.
He went for medical testing in St. Louis earlier Monday, and will be out indefinitely.
He will be further evaluated by team doctors in Montreal on Wednesday.

An update will be released later this week.

DD is truly blessed. He just fell into the #1 job just like that. emty is giddy with delight.

      Delete
    2. there are rumblings that Galchenyuk’s injury could be long term. Now having said that, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him play as soon as next game. Still, you have to imagine that there is strong chance he could miss significant playing time. But if you’re asking me on the odds, I have to think there is at least a 50/50 chance it could go either way. Look, am I expecting him back in the line up this week? You could say that. But then again, I will not be shocked to see him miss the rest of the year.

    3. the Maritimer7:56 PM

      Is that you Darren?

  70. So...here we go again with a star player with a "lower body injury". In a couple of days Bergevin will make an announcement that he is out indefintely - 6-8 weeks he will say but he will never mention the knee - deny it is the knee or protest when asked because if anyone says it's the knee they are putting the player's future health at risk...and the GCHuk will be out until April, if he returns at all. I saw a highlight with the "knee on knee" and it looked bad - not illegal or anything - I mean bad for him. One of those "oh my - that's gonna leave a mark" type hits that for someone who has already had a major surgery on his knee is not good. But the Habs wont ever say anthing about it. Then some time in February we'll have an update and then Bergevin will bring in another D-man - because that's what the Habs need more of...As long as TFS stays healthy though - they will be fine! Joyeaux Noel everybody!!
